This is the best cleanser I have ever found. I used to use Cetaphil but I found that it didn't do a great job at removing my makeup. Purpose is just as gentle, it's super inexpensive, never irriattes my skin and easily takes all my makeup off. It is gentle enough that I can even use it to take off my eye makeup. This can be a little hard to find, that's the only downside. Otherwise it is a fantastic product!

I loved this product but I can no longer find it anywhere in my area. I have dry skin so I loved this version but have reverted back to the classic cleanser. It works but can be drying.

I feel clean after I am done, it removes makeup and grim. Sometimes it takes more then a few splashes to get all the product off. No fragrance-bonus!

I really enjoyed this cleanser. My skin was drying out from all the acne killers I was using so I bought this at Big Lots for 1.99. It is soap free, fragrance free, and oil free - so it doesn't irritate the skin. I don't know if it moisturizes, but it does not dry me out and it removes oil and makeup well. I think this is better than Cetaphil and it's cheaper and lathers better. It's a perfect winter cleanser. I better go back to Big Lots and buy the rest since I think it's already discontinued. At 1.99 a tube, what a steal!

Combo, sensitive, mild rosacea>>I finally got around to trying this as I have been totally devoted to Olay's Sensitive-Skin wash for years! Pros: creamy, no offensive smell, lathered nicely, gentle! Cons: I found it left a somewhat tacky residue that didn't feel like moisture to me. I prefer Olay's "residue" as it leaves an almost silky-soft moisture behind..This cleanser made me want to run to my toner quick! Back to the Olay I go!

This is the most gentle cleanser in the drugstore, and Purpose discontinued it. What are you doing J+J? My skin is normal to dry and sensitive, and this was way better than Cetaphil or anything else in the drugstore. It still dried out my sensitive skin a bit, but it was unmatched for the price. The other cleansers I now use are Zia Fresh Cleansing gel and PC Skin Recovery, which are both sulfate-free.

Fantastic product for those that are drying out from Retin-A. I use this at night in rotation with the regular Purpose Gentle Cleanser.

This was my winter alternative to the regular Purpose cleanser when I was on the East Coast. I always keep it on hand, but only use it occasionally when treating myself to an at-home spa night and want something a bit more moistruizing. Regualar purpose works best in the temperate So. Cal winters. Overall, raves for this if you need something with a ouch of moisture that cleans well and doesn't irritate.

Every so often I decide to go back to this and start using this again. I usually do that in the winter when my skin needs an extra gentle cleanser because of the cold dry air. This does a good job of cleansing my face without stripping it. It doesn't remove all of my make-up though.

I have sensitive, combination skin. This cleanser leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. I don't think it's very moisturizing; however, it's difficult for me to say whether or not it is since I don't particularly need moisture. But, it doesn't dry out my skin either. It's just right. It can take off light eye makeup, but nothing heavy. I really like this cleanser. It's always a challenge to find something that doesn't hurt my sensitive skin, and this fits the bill perfectly.

I've been changing my skincare routine and am now using Purpose cleansers and couldn't be more pleased with the results. I like to use this on days when I need a bit more moisture. It's not so much a foamning cleanser as it is a sudsy cleanser that removes makeup and sunscreen whilst leaving my skin soft. I do think they should change the packaging to the pump dispenser though, as this formula is rather thin.

I tried this because I had such great results w/the original purpose skin care wash-however-I was a bit disappointed w/this one-it made me break out and I felt like it didn't clean enough- I will stick w/the original Purpose in a pump-my derm. actually recommended it to me over 6 yrs ago!

I bought this simply b/c I was under the delusion that Johnson & Johnson/Purpose products are soothing and non-drying. Well, I was wrong. After using this for about a month, I really see no difference. I have dry to begin with and while using this, I got the same result afterwards. My skin was taut, dry with flakes everywhere just ready to be peeled off. I also find that the texture was on the soapy side b/c it left a film on my face and I had to splash on water many times in order to wash it all off which is such a pain the morning. I would not rec' this for those who have dry skin like me. This is THE last time I'll ever use this product.

I think this cleans well and leaves behind some moisture--but not a lot. It didn't seem to be greasy either. People on the boards are saying it "leaves behind a film"...well that may be true, although I didn't notice much of it. But that is the whole point, if you want something that is going to "moisturize", well then it has to leave something in the skin, right? How else could it add moisture? I like this a lot, but I am not sure yet if I will use this or the Purpose bar soap. I love Purpose cleansers though, they have become my holy grail!

I did not much care for this- found this quite average. Granted, it's not as stripping as other drugstore cleansers, but there are definitely more hydrating cleansers out there. Over time, the cleanser actually felt more drying on my combo skin.

This is a great cleanser. Plenty of thick foam...which I know doesn't really do anything but ain't it fun. It removes all of my makeup including mascara and doesn't dry out my face. It's also fragrance free and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. GReat and inexpensive drugstore price.

I know many ladies on the board swear by this cleanser... unfortunately it just doesnt work for me. It doesnt really take off makeup that well and I only wear very minimal makeup and it seems like I can never rinse this clean, feel like there is a residue left behind.
Will not get this again, ever.

Not moisturizing in the least since it left my face tight. Otherwise, this cleanser is very nice, it does what it says as far as removing all makeup and not leaving a film. I have oily skin that easily dries out and although this is a great cleanser, I am still searching for one that does not make me feel tight at all. The foam, the smell and the feel of this (other than making me tight) is great. I was sad to have to stop using this!!

I am on the hunt for a great cleanser and I love foaming cleansers and kept hearing about this one so I thought I would give it a try. I hate it! It doesn't "foam" like a true foaming cleanser - it is more "soapy" foaming. Also, it didnt remove all my make up and left a residue feeling afterwards. My skin didn't feel tight though and I didn't get any irritation and I didnt break out. But this isn't a good cleanser for me, I prefer really foaming cleansers, one that really cleans the skin and doesn't leave an unclean feeling afterwards.
