For some reason I have normal skin but an extremely oily nose, I bought this in hope that it would combat the oiliness. It did keep it at bay for about 2 hours but when I reapplied it it did look very cakey on my skin. I've only repurchased this because its extremely cheap but be careful when you hit pan, mine smashed and the flimsy lid came off so the powder covered the inside of my bag! Lets just say that my the inside of my bag has never been the same since! Overall, I think it is a nice powder for people who don't have particularly oily skin or people on a budget, despite it not being very long lasting.

Even if I'm very careful with the application this powder leaves my face looking powdery. I find that it doesn't really help matting down my face and that my face actually become more oily using this powder. It also has a really prominent "old lady makeup"/talcum scent, to me it's actually somewhat pleasant, but I assume some people will hate the scent. I really don't get the hype of this powder, there has to be better options out there!

This is my favorite setting powder. Keeps my makeup in place all day and keeps my nose from getting oily. I just don't like the packaging.

It does what it is supposed to, which is keeping me matte, but only for half an hour or so. If I apply some more later on it turns me into a cake city. Even a light dusting is enough for that. I either have to get a lighter hand, a less dense brush or stop trying to make this powder work for my very oily skin. The packaging is also not great. I don't expect anything special from products from this price range but trying to put the cap on the powder properly takes quite an effort. It also falls off easily if you don't do it properly and you don't want that to happen if powder is in your handbag. The powder is not that bad but if just not anything for me. Perhaps girls with less oily/normal skin might like it better.

This is a very nice product that will keep you matte for about 3 or 4 hours. This is mainly for applying it to only your oily areas.

This is not for applying over your entire face. Apply only to oily spots or areas that are prone to fountation slipping. I applied it to my combination skin, amd the dry spots became noticable. The powder is very light or almost see through, but on top of some foundation/ bb creams/ tinted moisturisors, it obtains an orange tint. The powder is cheap, but doesnt look cheap (confusing?). Overall, i would recommend this product to people with oily skin, NOT for dry skin.

I personally think this is the best low budget powder. It is excellent at setting my foundation, doesn't cake, keeps my nose oil free and is very cheap. The downside, which many people have mentioned, is the packaging is very inconvenient for use on the go. The lid frequently falls off!
Overall, a very good matte powder that is cheap and keeps oil away. Highly recommended.

Pros: Very inexpensive, long lasting, good colour
Cons: Awkward packaging

Oily gals/guys Let me just start of by saying this will NOT keep you matte. It's an OK setting powder for beginners & people that are on a budget. I feel there are better DS powders. Will not repurchase.

It's a very good product. It stays longer than most of the other pressed powders. The bad thing is the package is so simple and plastic. Not good for carrying in the bags.

Nice powder and it does matte your skin well. Lasts a few hours not all day, but then I do have an oily t-zone so not a lot of products sit well all day. It has a fine texture and doesn't look cakey or powdery. I blend it with a feathery sort of stippling brush and this finishes it well. The packaging is frustrating. I want to take this with me during the day for touch ups but it is a bit fragile and the lid just sits on, doesn't click into place and I can see it causing a huge mess in my bag. But still, for the price this is a good powder.

An okay powder. For an inexpensive one, CG has better. Mac Blot is the best on my combo/oily skin. The packaging is horrible, but I still keep this in my makeup bag because it is a cheap backup in a pinch.

This stuff has the worst packaging ever. I'm not sure why Rimmel couldn't make a flip top compact like every other one they have... but anyways...
I bought this a month ago because I was tired of having to drive 30 mins to the mall to go to the MAC store and pay a high price for blot powder. I am extremely happy with my decision. This powder is just as good and lasts an entire work day keeping me shine free. Transparent was the way to go, as sometimes I tan and other times (like now) i'm on the more pale side. After using MAC blot for the last 6 years i'm happy to say i've found a new (and less expensive) HG :)

I love this powder ! It leaves a flawless clean finish also it's so cheap ! The only thing I would change is the packing the lid doesn't really stay on but for the price I can work around that fact. Pros : flawless finish , good coverage , cheap you don't have to use much , keeps oil down, stays on Cons; packaging & shade range isn't that great if your dark

Amazingggg. I love this product. I used to use Mac's blot powder, which is about $30 and just okay. I bought this after reading it was a great dupe, well in my opinion is works BETTER. The packaging is quite simple, but you can buy a small powder puffer to put inside and the lid will still go on, it's great for travel that way. I only need to apply it once a day, to set my makeup, and so I use a big blush brush. I will buy this again, especially because it goes on sale at Shoppers Drug-mart, Walmart and Rexall for $4 quite frequently.

This is a great inexpensive setting powder for all my liquid and creme foundations. It is one of those products that I could never go back to buying an expensive version of. I've nearly hit pan with my first one, and I think the next one I will be will one of the darker colours. I have to say that the packaging is really quite cheap looking although I've never had issues with travelling with it.

I happen to think this is the best drugstore powder out there.
(At least for the US. I haven't had the pleasure of trying UK or Canadian powders.)
To start off with, this is one of the few powders that doesn't crack and crumble once you hit pan. I know smell is a big issue for some people but I happen to very much like the slight fragrance to the powder as well.
I have never had it leave an ashy quality to the skin, and yes...even fair girls deal with that.
Its very good in my option for sensitive skin. I have had absolutely no reaction to it. (Which for me is incredible.)
It keeps my oils at bay, but It doesn't feel like..."mask-face" when you wear it throughout the day.
Now this powder can cake up (just like an other powder)...BUT, if you use a big face brush and "push" it into the skin it avoids the cake face of over application. And you can always use a setting spray to take down any further powderyness if you don't like the minimal it gives. But compared to every other drugstore powder I have used...This knocks it out of the park.
I just wish they had a better color selection.

NOT recommended for medium skin tone. While it does mattify my t-zone area (which gets oily especially in this humid tropical weather), it only lasts for 2-3 hours. upon applying it to my face I noticed a grayish/ ashy cast which shouldn't be there if it were a transparent powder. Plus the packaging is very flimsy, not recommended for travel, as it will only loosen up. I would not repurchase.

One of the best pressed powders out there. It's inexpensive, smells lovely and works pretty good. The only cons is the poor packaging. Overall a great product.
