This stuff is great, the smell is absolutely amazing. Makes my arms and legs feel soo soft except I find that it can be a little drying on my legs at times, and I'm guessing that's because of the amount of fragrance in it but who knows. I'm a complete body wash junkie so I don't know if I'll ever buy this again but at least I have something to fall back on :)

Picked this up in a pack of 3 at BJ's. It came with 2 Fig and 1 Lavender body wash. While I love the formula and the way it makes my skin feel, I don't care for the fig one. I have a *tiny* bathroom and the smell, while nice, is overpowering. I normally don't have any issues with perfumes, however this is too strong for me. I do like the lavender and will buy it again.

I have this in the White Peach/Nectarine (I think) and it is lovely. Creamy and peachy! No stinging or burning ah. down south..and it's really nice on the skin. Smells great!

LOVE this body wash. I really need to preface this saying I'm unimpressed with Aveeno as a brand, just overall, and maybe even more importantly, that I've never before, even once, used an entire bottle of a drugstore body wash.
In that context, here's my review. This is the first body wash I've ever use that actually has the capacity to make my skin feel somewhat moisturized. I typically wash and condition my hair first, wrap it in one of those turban towels, shave, and use this body wash last so I can hop out of the shower before my skin dries out further from the heat. I try to do it in this order because my skin breaks out from conditioner very easily and I go through stupidly great lengths to try to not have conditioner residue on my back and shoulders. Anyway, this process really leaves me with noticeably soft skin. I have dry skin and could absolutely not use this product in place of a moisturizer, but I would never expect that.
I love the packaging - it is really attractive for a drugstore brand. I also like the smell. I honestly can't really say how authentic it is to fresh figs because I think the most I've really eaten of them was in a dried up form, soaked in liquor or inside a Newton. But it smells good; it's a fresh, slightly green scent, and not overly fruity. I wouldn't say it's a "natural" scent, but it does lack an offensive, artificial smell that so many DS body washes have. You also need to use very, very little product to wash your entire body.
This makes me want to give a few more Aveeno products a try. The smell of many of their products is, to me, prohibitive, and besides one of their decent face lotions, I've really disliked everything from the brand. So this is a special find for me. I was hoping they had an accompanying lotion with a matching scent, but we're SOL on that one. Highly recommend it, especially when it's on sale - check your circulars often and you can probably get a great deal!

This is the first winter in a long time I haven't broken out with keratosis pilaris or excema on my arms and back (so far). I think it has to do with consistent use of this body wash. (I stick to a fairly consistent and effective detergent-lotion-exfoliating regimen.) I usually use oil of olay w shea or dove sensitive skin soap in the winter to keep my skin calm, but I do enjoy body washes. So glad I gave it a try - my skin has been happy and I really like the smells too. They lather a lot, so a little goes a long way and the bottles last longer than you expect.

I do love Aveeno body washes. Very nice lather and leaves me moisturized, not tight-skinned after shower. I LOVE Fig scents so I had to try this. I don't smell fig or even anything remotely fruity : ( It really smells like baby powder to me. Not really a bad smell, but just not what I was expecting. I'll use this up, but won't repurchase.

Some types of body washes end up drying my skin out and/or smelling chemically/fake-y. Aveno Natural Hydrating Body Wash is NOT one of those body washes! My skin feels so soft after using it and the smell is absolutely divine. Ahhhh, definitely one of my favorites :-)

Aveeno Active Naturals Hydrating Body Wash is my favourite body wash! There are many scents to choose from (my personal favourite is the lavender one. So calming!) It lathers on really nice, and leaves my skin feeling so amazingly soft. I've tried many different body washes, but none of them are as good as this one!

Haha! Wow! I LOVE this. It smells awesome and it's very moisturizing! It lathers great and gets you feeling clean. It's a bit expensive, but I'll tell you why. Cuz the smell isn't chemically fakey. The scent is very high quality and will not give you a headache. It's worth the 8 bucks!

I have purchased this body wash in Fig and Shea Butter over and over again since trying it about a year ago. Mostly, I just love the smell so much. It's very light and I receive compliments regularly. It does a pretty good job of mosturizing- I tend to have dry skin and I have seen some improvement in that.
I wish it was a little bit cheaper- but I will continue to purchase it regardless. I wish they would make a body lotion in this scent!

Nice lather and scent but this leaves my skin irritated, dry and itchy. 1) This is supposed to be hydrating 2) I expect Aveeno to not be irritating. I will stick to Nivea for cheap body wash.
Edit/Update-I kept using this and I started to break out. I still have scars from this crap.+ my chest started to be filled with clogged pores. Pure garbage. My skin almost immediately started clearing up when I switched to another shower gel.

Smells great, lathers well, didn't dry out my skin or irritate it in anyway, and is reasonably priced.

I bought a 3 pack of Aveeno body washes from Costco for $10. It came with 2 of the Fig + Shea butter washes and 1 lavendar and chamomile + ylang ylang. I'm happy with them. They smell great, the make my skin soft, and they were cheap. I didn't have any problems with breaking out or reactions. These body washes smell really clean and fresh. My husband even uses them.

I can't believe the bad reviews on this product!
If you have normal skin that is not prone to rashes, itching and other weird things that these people experienced, you will love this body wash!
1.) the smell is amazing, not overpowering. lasts for pretty much just the time your in the shower.
2.) lathers soo easily with a loofah
3.) makes your skin very soft and moisturized
4.) the packaging, simple yet so cute
anyway, this is one of my favorite body washes and i continue to repurchase it.

This is a very good, everyday body wash with a high-quality fig scent. It makes lots of lather when I use it with my Body Shop exfoliating gloves or when I use it as bubble bath in the tub. Like all the Aveeno products, it doesn't bother my sensitive skin. I like to layer L'Artisan Premier Figuier Extreme edp, a wonderful green fig-sandalwood scent, on after getting clean with this body wash.

I had a very simiiar reaction as Anza (below) to this product. The scent (Pomegranate and Fig) was quite mild; in fact I barely noticed it. When I first started using it, I was pleased with how nicely it foamed up with a shower puff and it didn't leave a mess on the shower floor. However, within 2-3 days of using it, I began to get irritated, prickly-feeling skin. My skin wasn't and isn't dry, so I knew it wasn't for that reason. I ended up narrowing it down to this product, after eliminating some of the more usual suspects such as body lotion, self-tanner and shaving gel. It was definitely the Aveeno Active Naturals! Perhaps it was the fruit oils in it that were irritating to my skin. Whatever, I stopped using it and my skin has gone back to normal. Surprising for Aveeno...

This smells AMAZING :) and i must say i have been told i smell real good after using this and nothing else (no perfume) BUUUUUT im really sensitive and i totally think it is making me break out on my chest and back. Aveeno has others that i have used and i dont think they make me break out. but for some reason i totally have zits all other the place and i think this is why :( so if you have sensitive skin and are prone to break outs.... i would say dont buy it. but if not... it smells wonderful and you should try it out :)

This smells so good, and the steam from the shower definitely made it smell even better. The packaging is really nice and the body wash nice and creamy. It created a lot of later and my skin felt nice and soft after the shower. I will definitely buy this again!

This review is for 4 Types of the Active Naturals, which is the newer version of the moisturizing bodywash line of Aveeno. I found these all on sale at my local Waldgreens for $5.99, which is rare. Since ABW's are a staple in my shower, I bought all three. The dark green cap "helps replenish skin's natural moisture". Okay, lol. That's nice. The light green cap has the fine grains and microbeads and "Helps even skin tone and texture" Okay, this is the one I like the least - I just don't see the point of the microbeads because the formula is really to thick and rich for them to make contact with the skin - especially when the lather starts. In fact, I found that they were still clinging to my skin - even after a good rinse. The third is a a blue/green coloured cap. This one "Moisturizes to relieve itchy, dry skin". I think this is my favorite, and only because it's got cardamom and coriander eo's in it which makes it smell nice. The last one (purple cap) is "calming and relaxing" and has lavender, chamomile and ylang-ylang. I have to say that this is a pretty strongly fragranced type compared to the others, but still ight and fresh smelling. Honestly, other than a slight fragrance these all do the same job - they don't dry out your skin, they foam really well in the shower, the flip top means no spillage and flipping open with one hand and they rinse off cleanly. I get that Aveeno wants to expand the product line, but the basic formula of the hydrolized oat protein is already so top notch, the rest is gratis imo.
