Beyond amazing! I have Alien eau de parfum, eau de toilette, and this version, which is my favorite. The notes are much more intense and sweet. One spray is all you need for hours of sillage.

My bottle of Alien Liquer de Parfum just arrived, I have sprayed it on various places on my body and it really does smell as sensational as everyone says in their reviews. Personally, I have no ability to describe the notes in perfume so all i am able to contribute is this is one of the most beautiful perfumes i have ever smelled on had on my body.

Such a gorgeous, wonderful, transcendent fragrance. Unfortunately, I think it was only a limited-edition, which is annoying because it smells much better (to me) than the other Alien offshoots. Regardless, it's extremely sexy, very musky and earthy, and simply smells divine. Love, love, love.

Went to Nordstrom and sampled the Alien liquor de parfum (LDP) and I most tell you it smells amazing. I own a mini bottle of the original alien which I wear occasionally. I was still deciding whether or not I liked Alien enough to go and buy a big bottle but there is something about Alien original that was a bit loud, overwhelming and strong. It almost reminded me of an 90's fragrance for some reason. Anyhow Alien LDP is just the opposite, it retains the essence of alien without the top notes. This makes it just perfect, it smells of liquor and wood when you first spray it but that only last a few minutes. It is very sensual and not loud in anyway. It last a long time, I came home washed my hands and I still could smell it. This is perfume at its best can't wait to purchase it for myself. It is a bit pricey at $95 for 1oz. and it is limited edition.

I dont own this perfume, but I one day hope to! I was at nordstrom, and while my friend was getting her makeup done @ the mac counter I browsed some of the counters. One of the sales ladies asked me what perfumes I like and told her a few I own she said I had to smell this. OMG! I looove this scent. She gave me a sample and I used it every day till it was up. I'm not very good at describing scents, but if you like clean, fresh kind of smells I suggest you check this out!

I am a huge Alien fan, particularly of the body cream and shower gel. I just tried this and it is fantastic. To me, it is the perfume I have always been looking for. Yes Alien is very different and there is flower and purple and all kinds of interesting things, but this Liqueur is gold, warm, a little spicy, evening-ish, luxurious, and feminine. Luckily, I was actually wearing Alien when I saw it, so there was no clashing, but try this on top of the body cream, it is positively wonderful. It is more mature than the original Alien, or more classical feminine and I find it actually more wearable. I would buy this with the Alien body creme instead of the Alien original but I am also going to try both together - the SA said that together they were fantastic too and I believe it. This is true on my skin and the dry down is simply lovely and it has good staying power with a touch of caramel underlying other golden notes.

UPDATE Sept 1 2010!!! It's baaack. Was at the Bay today and there was the tester. I stopped dead in my tracks. I held my breath and looked down, and sure enough, there were two boxes, new, wrapped of this gem. I grabbed both, much to the chagrin of the sales guy. He said there were only two, that was all they were getting, and that apparently due to high response, Thierry Mugler brought it back out, but only for a short time, very limited. hahaha! I am so thrilled. Everytime I wear it I get compliments, and sure enough, the very next store I went to, the SA asked what I was wearing and she couldn't stop sniffing. I wear it over Alien Body Cream and kapow what a combo. Anyway, if any of you have been search high and low, it's here but only for a limited time.

I was so excited to try Alien Liquer de Parfum edp as I love the original Alien. So, I can't help but compare the two. Upon first spray, I thought that the Liquer de Parfum was not as nice as the original Alien because the fresh floral note was missing. But after time, Alien Liquer de Parfum really blossoms on the skin and it's just as gorgeous as Alien. The drydown is the biggest difference - Alien Liquer de Parfum dries down to a rich caramel-like scent. I own the original Alien but may have to buy a bottle of the limited edition Liquer de Parfum as well.

(EDP) Once again, Mugler has been aging scents in wooden casks - oaken casks in this case, to be exact. The whole concept originally had sparked my interest with Angel La Part Des Anges, which I did not get a chance to experience. I saw Alien Liqueur de Parfum yesterday - was rather surprised to see it offered in both EDT and EDP concentrations- and snagged a wee spritz of the EDP to contemplate. I honestly don't know if it's just my own pessimistic view of the commercial world in general, but this doesn't actually seem like an improvement of the scent, not in my opinion anyhow. It smells like Alien, sure... but it seems to lack the seamlessness of the top notes and lush, velvety quality of the basenotes of the original. To be fair, I only sampled on cardboard, though heartily (was already testing three fragrances on my arms) and will update once I do a proper skin test with both formulas. I have indicated 'Yes' to the question of repurchasing, but I am not quite sure if I would shell out the full asking price for even a small bottle, pretty though as it is. Will update.
UPDATE: I was mistaken before, Alien Liqueur de Parfum is only offered as an EDP, not an EDT - What I saw at the counter is the new EDT version of 'original' Alien.
My skin test today with Alien Liqueur revealed a short-lived boozy-woody heart under fleeting fragmented topnotes. It does retain a slight boozy-vanilla lilt to the base after it dries down (which does not take long!) but I fail to see this as an improvement. Perfection cannot be improved upon. No sale.
