Perhaps if I knew the ins and outs of perfumery like Luca Turin, I would have given this perfume 5 stars. But as it is, I know very little about perfume and can only say if I like it or not. It goes on strong and really reminds me of Alien, but with this milky background. Not for me. No regrets that it has been discontinued.

I wanted to like this - and there are parts of this that I do. But the opening 15 minutes of this fragrance is horrendous - like industrial strength glue or something. There are some really interesting notes that come out of this - I do get the wet asphalt notes, and peppery notes and lime - all interesting and lovely. But the overall effect is not something I want to smell like. The very far drydown has an interesting asphalt and salt smell that I find intrguing, but again - I don't want to smell like this. Maybe my sample was off, but this was not a scent I'd want to revisit.

I originally bought this perfume in Thailand a number of years ago and have been hooked every since. I may deviate to Issey Miyake's other scents soon to see if I love them just as much.

I LOVE this perfume. It is my signature scent and I get compliments ALL the time with it. I'll even have people come and smell me closer when I wear it! I love the scent and I love the way it makes me feel when I'm wearing it! The only downside is it doesn't last as long as I would like but that is probably because it is so light. I just reapply in the evenings if I'm going out.

WOW!!! I was stunned by this one. I adore this fragrance; it has the most mutating, fascinating drydown of any fragrance I've owned (ALOT). Peppery, woody, ambery and just fabulous. I'm reminded of Gucci Rush the first minute, then on to Hermes Eau de Merevielles, then the dry incense of CdG Avignon. LOVE!!!

I used this for years - and I LOVED it! I have a very hard time finding perfumes that work on my skin, usually they either smell horribly sweet or they fade away within an hour. I got my last two bottles of Le Feu from eBay, but perfumes really don't improve with time.. sadly! So now I simply smell the bottle every now and then and remember happier times;-)

If you fall in love with a "narrow" perfume, I guess you just have to accept it won't be around forever. So more than Miyake relaunching this perfume, I hope I will someday find a really really skilled perfume salesperson who can help me figure out the mystery of perfume. It's so strange how a perfume can smell EXACTLY the same on a bunch of people, and the totally different on someone else. My best friend can go by the smell from a paperstrip - perfumes smell just like that on her skin.
It's just a mystery!

I got this product as a gift from my boyfriend who wanted to find me a perfume with my favourite flower, the white lily. He did an excellent job - Issey is incredibly sexy with its musky tones but introduces florals to make it feminine at the same time. It's not overpowering but it has staying power - it lingers on your skin until you wash it off. I'm not a huge fan of the bottle (it's quite contemporary/modern whereas I enjoy more timeless bottles such as Prada by Prada) but it's definitely my favourite perfume. It's incredibly sexy when mixed with the men's version (my boyfriend also bought the men's version - talk about upselling!).

This doesn't mix well with my body chemistry. I have tried long and hard to try to like this fragrance but it just doesn't do it for me. It's wayy too peppery or spicy or somethng of that sort which is too harsh to my nose. I will agree though with alot of the reviewers that this is a VERY unique and different perfume. None like others at all! If it compliments your body chemistry then all kudos to you and you're lucky! Not for me though. Not purchasing.

I don't know where to start with this one: I got interested in it because by profession I specialize in discontinued/rare fragrances, and I had to see what the appeal was since I had customers from Latvia to London asking me for it. I got a few bottles and decided to keep one for myself and give it a try. Here's how it went. I sprayed it straight into my skin on both wrists and neck, and I have to admit I was very dubious as at first sniff, I just hated it, this was for the first 20 mns or so, Too strong, too peppery,Too all over the place- very much like Yohji by Yamamoto- I had the same reaction- but then it dried down to something totally different, more refined and settled, and within the hour I couldn't stop but smell my wrists, as it turned to something ambery with a bit of spice, and it just smells delicious! I don't think this will be my daily fragrance, but I do now understand the appeal, and I know it will be a definite staple in my personal collection.Very uusual fragrance.

Great fragrance - ugly, plasticky bottle. I was not immediately drawn to this scent, the aroma is very sharp in paper and sprayed in air. But many fragrances tend sweeten in my skin so I decided to give this a try - and I'm glad I did. Pepper, orange zest, grapefruit, amber notes, rose... ...a lovely and unique scent. Probably adjusts a lot by wearer - if scents tend to go towards acidy or sour on your skin, this is not your scent.

Discontinued. If you have spare bottle, I could imagine use for it!

My sister owns this fragrance.
Not my cup of tea, and not her's either. I think she got it as a gift because this doesn't seem like something she'd typically wear (Kenzo Flower)

Feu D'issey smells exactly like its name. Fire.
It's spicey, peppery and a it burns your throat and your stomach like hard liquor.
Sure it's original, but it's hard to wear.

Smells like an orange and a rose rubbed over antique furniture with a little bit of dark chocolate thrown in. Okay? It's one of my HGs, made even more attractive to me by the fact that most people don't like it. It's eclectic for sure...and I absolutely love it. Issay Miyake, don't you ever stop making this one.

Woow, I like this! It's spicy and milky at the same time and I get orange zest, too, which adds a little something special. It's really pretty, seductive and comforting and has great lasting power. It's different and really original, feminine and sexy... Goes directly in my top ten!

Of course, it's discontinued so it's really hard to find :(

Sprays sample all over wrist and arm ... *Splutter, cough* Now that was a mistake. It's horrid, peppery, disgusting. I feel sick, I need to wash this off NOW.

Love this scent - it's unlike anything else I own. The overall impression is of a peppery, musky, yet not overly warm fragrance - it works well with my body chemistry. Men seem to really like this - I get more compliments when wearing Le Feu than with any other perfume. Very unique.
