A MUST HAVE IF YOU HAVE DRY LIPS! The first rouge volupte I got was #1 nude beige. Even though I tried it on at the store it looked fine because of the light but in the sunlight i could tell it didn't suit my skin tone at all and I was very disappointed because the color is very pretty. There was nothing wrong with it it was simply just my mistake. I got a new one now in #20 and it's perfect! The color is amazing and I love the formula. My lips are very very dry and I constantly have to apply lip balm so I've always avoided lipsticks because they've dried out my lips and made them even more chapped. I don't have this problem with this lipstick because the formula is so nice and creamy. I was afraid it wouldn't last very long because of that but it stayed on forever and it didn't smudge around my mouth! The smell is also really nice. I'm so pleased I can start wearing lipsticks now without having to worry about fixing it all the time and applying lip balm over it!!
I'm definitely getting more colors, this is the best lipstick I've ever tried!

Beautiful rosey-brown shade. I love the color but not the texture. The lipstick never seems to set and smudges everywhere. Personally, I love the packaging and the scent, but I hate the texture. The lipstick has a lot of slip and is very soft. It gets used up really quickly also. It's not a unique shade, so I will not be buying this product again. However, I do recommend the Rouge Purs and the Rouge Pur Coutures which have much but better staying power.

This registered a mauve rose on my lips. It was the most wonderful thing that brightened my bare face in an instant. It looked a bit gray on the tube but registered a wee bit pinker compared to MAC Twig. This is my new everyday lip shade.
I am a FFF Asian NC20, NARS Deauville or Fiji, BB Warm Ivory

This is my first Rouge Volupte. I wanted to try this lipstick for a long time, but the color range looked scary (bright pinks and corals). This one is such a nice muted everyday fall color! Brownish rose with a tuch of plum. The finish is rather glossy and the formula feels so comfortable on, rich and creamy. Despite its creamy consistency, it is not slippery and lasting power is decent. Another plus is that it doesn't have this intense fruity scent and bitter taste, like other YSL lipsticks and glosses. It has a slight melon scent once it's applied, which disappears in a few minutes. Packaging is gorgeous. This particular color flatters me so much (I am always looking for that mauve undertone in dark nude lipsticks, like this one). I am sure that I will buy it again.

Love this lipstick in Spicy Pink! The color is really pretty, it's def MLBB. The formula is smooth. Sometimes I wear it alone or pair it with a lip gloss (really do not need a lip gloss as this is very creamy/moisturizing) and the packaging is beautiful; the mirror on the top is very helpful. Overall, pretty color, great product. Pricey but well worth it. Will repurchase.

This is a wonderful product! The texture is so smooth and silky. Stays on well. On me, the color is a brownish pink, but it does not wash me out. It's MLBB. When I use this with Chanel
Blizzard glossimer, it gives me a soft look. I'm so happy I bought this product.

Wow, this is the most expensive lipstick I've ever bought. I paid about €27 for it. I had heard/read so many good things about it that I had to go and have a look a the line. I love neutrals and wearable colours and even though I was drawn to some of the light pinks I decided to get a colour that I would actually like to wear on a daily basis. I'm not sorry I did. The formulation of this lipstick as you all may know is wonderful. So soft, smooth, good pigmentation, nice scent etc. This colour is perfect for me to wear to work in the day time. I just love it. I feel like I will wear this for years.

Update: Nearly two years later and this is still my favorite lipstick. I've tried to find a dupe and while many have come close, I haven't found a dupe. Sephora stopped carrying it and I've been using a lip brush to dig out the rest sparingly. Finally, I took advantage of YSL Black Friday sale and got 3. I love this lippie paired with #19 Golden Gloss. Oh and I think it's safe to say that I've definitely not allergic since I've gone through the entire tube :)
I love this color! So much so that I have a NYX lippie in Bravo that's very similar. However, the formulation on this is much smoother and silkier. It kinda reminds me of my Dior Addict lipstick (my other HG). The color is perfect for me. I think I may be slightly allergic to it. I'm hoping it's the golden gloss I pair it with not the lippie. It's a splurge, but it was my birthday and I'm definitely not disappointed.

This color (spicy pink) is the *exact* color for my lips, which is great, except it's *too* good of a match. if it were a tad more brown or pink, that would be great.
But the good news is that it makes my lips look wonderful and feels wonderful on. If i were darker or paler, it would be the perfect MLBB color. It's a browned-down pink that reminds me a lot of Butterfield 8, without as much brown.
The formula is excellent and I look forward to trying out more colors. The staying power wasn't like, say, NARS, but it goes on *much* smoother and creamier, which I think has a lot to do with that. If you can find your perfect color for you, I'd definitely pick this up.

This was a luxury purchase, but worth the splurge. The slip of this lippy is amazing and iy has the lightest, silkiest texture. I think it would wear better with a liner underneath, which I have yet to try. I wanted a lipstick of this formula when they were first released it, but couldn't find a shade that suited me. This is almost a MLBB color for me. Its a mauvy rose color and perfect for daytime where. I like it paired with a gloss for more shine. Today I paired it with mac's LE personal taste lipglass and it looked great together.
