Leaves my hair frizzy. Scents don't seem to last in my hair but this one does. And wow, it smells so good.

Only one good thing about this shampoo - the smell. OMG, its addictive. It smells like Marc Jacobs Daisy. It makes my hair crimpy, not tousled if dried naturally. I still need a lot of gel and proper drying with a dffuser to get a tousled look. But the boys love the smell.... and the smell lasts forever... such a guilty pleasure. The smell is worth 3 lippes, not the shampoo!

The tousle me softly shampoo and conditioner is great with my hair, I have slightly coarse frizzy/curly hair, and it made my curls defined and shiny. I have been using the shampoo and conditioner for a while now and I loved it untill I had an allergic reaction on my back, down my neck etc. I kept getting red bumps and I tried changing my washing powder and shower cream when I was still getting them I decided to change to another shampoo and conditioner and the red spots went so alas, I have to change my shampoo and conditioner. But the product is actually great, I have tried so many anti-frizz products and this has been the only one that leaves my hair curly without frizz and it's super cheap!

Smells great, didn't dry out my hair, and with the conditioner, gave me great body and waves. It's on sale at CVS right now, and there's a coupon out there for $3 off two.

Clearly, whoever came up with this product had plenty of hair to lose. Really. I can't say much on this product other than the fact that I started losing clumps of hair even after the first usage. Smell was okay, but I just can't get over the fact I suddenly lost four times the amount of hair I normally would. Hello, trash bin to this one.

I bought this since I thought it would make my hair look tousled. But it didn't. Instead my hair was sleek straight, the way it has always been. The smell is awesome and lasts for a while after showering but other than that there was nothing that good about it.

First of all, the smell is fabulous. It also has staying power - with most shampoos I've tried, I can't smell it in my hair after a few hours. I have naturally wavy hair that gets super frizzy. This shampoo seems to preserve and slightly enhance the waves, while also making the frizz more manageable. I love it!

This is currently my HG shampoo!!!!
The smell is like falling asleep in a heavenly bed of flowers-absolutely beautiful. The shampoo is jelly-like, while the conditioner is thicker, but both smell amazing.
My hair is naturally 'tousled,' but this shampoo took 'tousled,' to a whole nother level of beauty. My hair just can't shape itself into consistent waves, rather into loose but wildly messy curls, but this shampoo helped calm down the frizz that my loose hair brings, and now my curls are soft, shimmering and stunning (not to mention beautifully scented.)
Amazing product :)

I really love this. I used it last summer, so when I smell this it gives me a really nostalgic feeling when I use it. I don't use this often, as it smells good but that's basically it. It doesn't detangle or wavy hair at all. But I still love this just for the scent!

Herbal Essence's Tousle Me Softly Shampoo&Conditioner is a hair care duo that's supposed to give you soft, "imperfectly perfect" wavy hair. The shampoo is infused with wild violets and pomegranates, both of which I love. Herbal Essences claims their products are not tested on animals, but I've heard otherwise, so please do your own research and use at your own discretion. Herbal Essences products are made in the USA of US and Imported ingredients. This brand is widely available at drug and grocery stores, as well as stores like Ulta, Target, and more. I bought both the shampoo and conditioner for a combined prize of $5.89 at Rite Aid. Each bottle contains 12 fl oz of product.
I think the packaging is attractive. The shampoo bottle stands upright and is made of thinner, see through purple plastic with a green cap. The conditioner bottle is made of thicker, opaque, purple plastic and stands cap down. Both bottles feature the tagline "Any Way You Work it, it's Still Hot". The bottles have the same unique, wavy shape most Herbal Essence products do.
Both the shampoo and conditioner have the same scent, but it's stronger in the shampoo. Tousle Me Softly's scent notes include apricots, strawberries, pineapple, and violets, according to the website. I mostly pick up violets with a bit of strawberry. I can kinda pick up the apricot, but only in the conditioner. This is the kind of zesty floral-fruity scent that I love. It permeates the hair well without being overly strong, and the scent lasts a long time, sometimes a couple days.
Tousle Me Softly Shampoo is a thin, bluish-purple gel. A little bit of this shampoo goes a long way and I tend to accidentally overuse it. It lathers very well without much effort. I usually let it sit in for 30 seconds or so before rinsing.
I like this shampoo and conditioner set, but I have a question...what does it do? It doesn't make my hair anymore wavy than it already is (I have slight waves), nor does it make it any more wild or flippy like the commercial would lead you to believe. Then again I didn't use any of the styling products in tandem. I guess it adds a little bit of volume, but nothing extreme.
So I guess this shampoo doesn't really live up to it's claims, but nonetheless, its a good shampoo. My hair is soft, silky, healthy, and shiny after I use it. It also smells fantastic and keeps my hair clean for a couple of days. Herbal Essences is almost always on sale, or has a coupon out, so these shampoos and conditioners are usually a good value. Pick Tousle Me Softly up if you're looking for a fruity floral shampoo that gives a little bit of volume. If not, skip it. I won't be repurchasing it, in favor of Long Term Relationship, also by Herbal Essences, to continue my review series on their shampoo/conditioner line.

I'm all about the wavy hair look! My hair is naturally straight and so I like any product which will softly twirl my hair. This product seriously works! It gives me the perfect tousled look, leaving my hair softer, shinier and sexy. :) I'm impressed at how just the shampoo and conditioner can do that! It almost looks as if I've waved the ends of my hair with an iron!

I have wavy hair in general and I love this product. I even buy the mousse because it does make your hair "touchable". I've tried many different products and this one is my favorite. I'm surprised by the previous reviews. Maybe my hair is much different so it works? My hair does get pretty oily (I need to wash every day. I definitely can't skip a day!) and is very thick. I do like the way my hair looks and feels, but my hairdresser has warned me that Herbal Essence is one of the worst brands for your hair. I don't know... I still like this!!

I struggle to find many (any?) benefits to this shampoo. Its most basic ability to clean hair is the extent of any positive qualities I experienced while attempting to endure the agony of using up a large-size bottle of it. Because my hair has a natural wave to it, I expected this product to enhance those waves. Not only was it extremely drying, but it did absolutely nothing for my hair in terms of waviness. My hair was stringy, dry, "deflated", and lackluster in every way. Even the scent was unattractive, and almost unbearable after a few months of using the product. Thankfully, the scent didn't linger on my hair after drying. It was cheap, it did clean my hair (as any shampoo should be expected to do), but I would never repurchase this product. I have no idea how a shampoo as drying as this formula is could be marketed towards individuals with wavy hair.

Ive been longing to try the herbal essences totally twisted on my brown curly hair, however i couldnt find it anywhere so i spoke to the herbal essences on facebook and i was told it isnt available in australia anymore, but it has been substituted with tousle me softly, which i am familiar with because the tousle me softly mousse and hairspray are absolute staples in my curly hair routine. so i decided to try the shampoo and conditioner, at first it didnt make a difference, but when i used it for the second time it worked wonders, my hair was left with very little frizz, nothing i cant handle with a little anti frizz, most of my curls were shaped nicely and shiny and the scent is amazing and stays in my hair until my next wash, i LOVE the packaging for the shampoo it looks gorgeous in my shower haha. definitely recommend this is you have curly hair and cant get your hands on herbal essences totally twisted, however if you have dry hair like i do STAY AWAY FROM THIS. after a while my hair became more dry, and i already have dry hair since i am a curly girl so thats why im not repurchasing it for the 3rd time since i feel it doesnt have the moisturizing properties my hair needs. So yeah :)

I just got done washing my hair with the shampoo and conditioner. I have naturally wavy/curly hair that is right now medium length and is dry and damaged. The shampoo and conditioner smelled good and for only using once so far my hair was already to dry and tangled from this. I know that if I keep using it my hair will definitely be straw. At least it was only $3 each so i'll just keep them for emergencies. Still looking for my HG!

I'm going to copy and paste my exact review from the wavy version of this product because my feelings are exactly the same.



Maybe I was expecting too much.

I have long hair, razor layer cut, and if left to it's own evil devices it will dry with many odd wavy/lumpy areas.

I had a brief phase of denial wherein I became convinced I could pull off that wavy, just back from the beach hair without spending an hour with a flat iron trying to look casual.

I bought this shampoo, the conditioner, and the mousse and attempted some scrunch drying. Nope, doesn't work. It cleans your hair, it conditions your hair, but in no way does it tousle or even encourage tousling. Don't get your hopes up.

I used the shampoo and conditioner for tihs product. The first day of washing my hair was actually pretty nice but it felt totally scraggly and dried out by the 2nd day. I have soft, uncolored, un-blow dried hair and this shampoo/conditioner makes it feel like straw. Maybe the idea is to add texture to your hair so that natural waves will come out? Since I like to wash my hair every 2-3 days I will not be repurchasing.

I love this product. I've been using it for two years and it does wonders to bring out the waviness. It also smells AMAZING. If you want sexy, tousled hair that smells gorgeous, get this!
