I am not sure about this mascara. You need a good few costs for a more dramatic look (which I prefer!). It does make them longer and when used with eyelash curlers, looks great. The only thin I hate is that it doesn't come off!!!!! I literally have to scrub and scrub my eyes to remove and it's not even there waterproof mascara! I probably would buy again but maybe for holidays?!

I love this mascara. I have very thick eyelashes so volumizing mascaras just make my lashes look clumpy. Since they're already thick, I like to give them a long, feathery appearance. This does just that. Also this doesn't clump, flake, or smudge. Highly recommended.

I love NARS and have almost every other product in their range. However, i have tried their mascara's in store, and never been thrilled with the consistency of their formula, so hadn't taken the plunge until now.
Unfortunately, this didnt meet my expectations at all.
Reviews here said it definately lengthened. I didnt experience that with this formula at all.
it did stay. through days of facewashing, and was really pretty well waterproof.
I hated the brush (but that is not unusual, as i hate all the new defining plastic applicators).
The price in AU dollars is quite good at the moment - fortunately. so that saved them a little.
The packaging was good to look at and hold, but when i turned the lid slightly, it cracked the base! shocking for a new product.
This was fine, but not at the standard of other NARS products, curiously.
Back to MAC for me....

First off, I don't try a lot of mascaras. I've been using DiorShow and DiorShow Blackout (they came as a combo together) for the past year or so. I can't even remember the last mascara I owned before those. I like DS and DSBO which is why I never thought to get a new mascara, but I don't love them. There's nothing really wrong with those two mascaras per say, but I always felt like my lashes were missing something.
I bought this mascara on a whim because I thought it was length that was something my lashes could use. This mascara is GREAT at lengthening! I adore this product because it does what it says. I haven't had any problems with flakes or anything when wearing this all day. However, lengthening is ALL that this mascara does. Nothing more, nothing less. So I still use DS and DSBO to help add a little volume to my lashes. But this mascara does a great job at lengthening and at not flaking off. I use Lancome eye makeup remover so I don't have a problem taking it off and I always close the lid tight so I haven't had it dry out at all. I've been considering purchasing the volumizing version of this mascara, however I would like to find a mascara that does both in one. But I will definitely repurchase this until then!

This mascara is amazing! I have tried and tested MANY mascaras that are out there over the years, both high end and the cheaper brands.
What I look for is lengthening, as my eyelashes are short and very straight, and I have to say that Nars lengthening mascara is the best! It does exactly what it says, lengthen! Not only does it lengthen, but it keeps your lashes curled all day. 2 coats of this stuff is more than enough.
It doesn't irritate my eyes, or flake at all. However, the one drawback to this product is removing it. When I bought it for the first time, I asked the guy if it was a waterproof mascara (as I hate waterproof) and he said no. Looking back, I see he was kind of telling the truth, waterproof mascara is MUCH easier to remove than this stuff!!
I tried 3 different eye make up removers, and nothing worked, but I have now found a great and cheap way to remove it... baby oil!! If you put a few drops on your finger tips and gently massage around your lashes for a few mins, (it can get a bit messy) then wipe away with make up wipes, you're good to go! If you find there's still a little bit left, repeat the process.
One more negative is that the brush end of the tube is actually a bit longer than the actual mascara end, so you feel a bit cheated as there isn't as much mascara in there as you thought.
Still love this product though and will keep buying it. I'll be devastated if it ever becomes discontinued!!! :(

When i first got this i was in love, i wore it everyday and got a bunch of complements.. then after a while i started noticing my lashed were falling off while i try washing it off. I would have to peal the mascara off and it got really irritading. Now i bearly reach for it or actually i try and avoid using it. Maybe its the fact that i used it everyday, since this mascara will hold your curl and last all day it has a heavy formula. Its not horrible mascara just not an everyday thing. It'll be great for going out looks though.

This mascara was very heavy on my lashes, was a PITA to remove, and even worse BURNED my eyes at the end of the day. I suspect it flaked and got into my contacts. Glad I never bought it and only tried it on during a makeover!

I really like this mascara, but there was only one factor about it that I absolutely hated. It does what it says, lengthen, as well as hold a curl, which was a pleasant surprise because I have stick straight asian lashes. The only thing I hated about this product was the fact that it was incredibly hard to come off. With that said, it can be worn for such a long time without flaking, but it was tougher than waterproof mascara. That aside, I think the price is pretty reasonable, because it's been lasting quite a while for me, and I use it everyday. Hope my review helps :)!

If there is one product I have tried many of, it is mascara. I bought this on a whim as the cost of a makeup application was redeemable so I didn't really consider the price but approx AU$50 is pretty steep!
I like how it makes my lashes look but I have had similar results with several products including YSL Faux Cils and Chanel Inimitable (which are admittedly of a comparable price). There are two things I dislike though:
1. I wasn't told it was waterproof but my gosh it is hard to remove. Even after using remover and cleansing I will still end up with under eye smudges the next morning which will only budge with more remover.
2. The end of the mascara with the product in it is tiny, I have had samples from other brands of similar size! Both the Chanel and YSL products mentioned above are definitely bigger.
So while I like the results, they are nothing amazing and there are products that are better value out there that are far easier to remove!

I decided to try this because of the good reviews. I use this over Clinique lash primer. I could instantly see a difference in the length of my lashes, but I don't like the brush. It feels like a cheap drug store mascara brush, which is why I only rated it a 4. I expect more from a $24 mascara; however, I will repurchase because it does do what it claims.

Ok, first few applications I loved it, but after using it the third time, it started flaking, dry, and clumpy! I mean for $25 mascara I would sure hope that it last longer than 3 applications. I'm returning this to sephora. I'd go back to my bare escentuals flawless definition. Its much better!!!!!!!!!

This is simply the best mascara i have ever bought. I am half chinese with very thin and short lashes and i tried almost everything, and this is the only one that makes a difference on my eyes. The packaging is sober and classy as always at Nars, and it really do lenghthens lashes, even if you have to brush several times before reaching the maximum length. It could be quite expensive though, but it is worth it. I would certainly keep it for the rest for my life.

This mascara was great for holding curls and separating lashes, but after about a week I started getting a really bad allergic reaction because it contains macadamia oil as an ingredient! So I definately won't be repurchasing this producct but I def recommend this for people who arent allergic to treenuts.

I adore this mascara (as i do of most NARS products!) It does what it says and is escpecially amazing for use on top of another mascara ( cheaper trashier Maybelline Volume Express Curve for instance) It combs out really nicely used on top or on its own. But I will say it runs out very quick!

I hate to break up the love-fest for this product, but it was a huge disappointment. This didn't do a damn thing for my lashes. There was some very slight lengthening with multiple applications, but that was it. It's going back to Sephora tomorrow.

Like it says, it's a lengthening mascara. It makes no compromises, unlike other ones that try to be an all-in-one volumizing, curling, and lengthening. All length, but little volume. I haven't had it long enough to assess whether the formula becomes flaky after a few weeks like the prior reviewer says, but it has yet to flake on me. Using it with primer should definitely prevent that.

This is a wonderful mascara and does indeed lengthen. After about two weeks though, I noticed that it always went on flakey and with clumps no matter how careful I applied - tried different strategies, etc. Despite that, I bought another tube of this mascara a month later and it's consistency also evolved to flakes and clumps. This is a great lengthening mascara right out of the box, but IMO, it doesn't last long, so for the price I didn't find it a better investment than other lengthening mascaras.
