Currently using Barry M Shocking Pink and Barry M Vibrant Pink. Both are bold, in-yo-face shades of Nicki Minaj-ish pinks. Luv the fierce colors. The only drawback is, the heavy pigments leave an extremely difficult to remove reddish stain on the lips once u wipe it off at the end of the night. No matter how much I rubbed my lips with tissue and makeup remover, the reddish stain was still visible on my lips.

I absolutley love the Barry M lip paints! I started being obsessed with them when i was in my pre teens but as soon as i got my first wad of money i went to buy one! My favourite shades are 101 Marshmellow because it is super pale (like myself) and i love the 1960's 'mod' look. It is quite drying because of it lack of pigment but some lip balm or vaseline underneath does the trick :) it's also good for mixing other lip shades to make them lighter. My other favourite is 100 Bubblegum pink, this was the first one i bought. It does have some blue tones running through it so would'nt be wise for maybe olive skin tones, again it's abit drying and i have noticed it wears off quickly and leaves a brighter pink stain behind. Overall they are one of my favourite drugstore lipsticks. Ranging from mattes to sheens they are pretty good! Retail at £4.49

I really like these, I only have two, one which the number has rubbed off so I wouldn't be able to say (lol) but the other one is in the shade 100. They are both pink shades, with one having a slight magenta hue and its quite bright and vibrant and 100 is a baby/pale pink and has quickly become one of my very favourite lipsticks. They are very matte, so if you prefer a 'glossier' lipstick then these probably aren't for you. My only negative thing about them is that they are very drying, which means you do need a bit of vaseline or something similar to put on first, which I find dilutes the colour a little bit which is annoying. However overall I think they are really nice, affordable, reliable lipsticks with a good colour selection and nice packaging.

i have this in #54 PEACH. its a beautiful bright orange colour with a hint of pink. the colour suits me very well, but honestly i can't wear this lipstick, simply because the formulation is horrible. It settles into lines, bleeds, and its super-patchy.. such a shame that a beautiful colour like this wont be worn :(

I bought Barry M Lip paint in 151/Sunburst, I actually thought I had bought 121/Pillarbox Red, which I had before and loved but I lost it when I moved house. First I was disappointed as obviously it wasn't what I was expecting but I found it was a much better shade for my colouring as it's more of a matte coral-red. If you don't want such a striking colour you can dab it on over lip balm, or for a more intense look you can put it straight on, either way it looks great. It is pretty cheap though and doesn't taste/smell of anything other than cheap lipstick so definitely isn't a luxury in any sense, but I tend to buy Barry M products for the colour which it is always good for. It lasts quite well and as long as you put lip balm on first it reapplies well, I will definitely be buying it again!

I only own the 'pillar box red' shade of this lipstick, which I brought because I thought a vibrant lip colour would make me finally abandon my tendency to go bare lipped. Despite the comments people are making regarding drying, I find that buffing lips lightly before applying lipstick makes a big difference to how long lipstick lasts (you can make a lovely sugar scrub for lips with fine sugar and a little bit of peppermint oil).
I was at first a little disappointed with how it seemed to lack the impact I was after. There was very little shine and softness or depth of pigment when it was actually on my lips. The formula had an old fashioned texture, quite hard and not at all creamy or glossy. I then read that red lipstick is best applied with a finger tip and blended for impact. After using a nude lip crayon, I tried the finger technique (downside of course is that you need to wash your hands immediately). A coat of vaseline on top created that rich, flattering and dramatic pout I had envisaged. Those multi taskers amongst you will also appreciate the cream blush potential of this product.
The lip paints usually retail for under £5.00. I like the simple matte black packaging for this product, as the actual lipstick speaks for itself. Definitely one for when you are wanting to experiment with new shades.

This is a review for #62 Shocking Pink. Ultra bright almost neon hot pink in a matte formula. Applies very opaque so what it looks like in the tube is true to how it applies which I love! I wore this today and walked into a Mac store to pickup something. The first thing the sales person said to me was "wow amazing lipstick, what colour is that? It's one of ours right?"
The quality of this lipstick is absolutely on par with some of Mac's matte shades.
The only disappointing thing- as others have mentioned - it is VERY drying. After two hours wear I walked out of a meeting and realised it has balled up around the centre line of my lips and made a thick line of buildup. A bit embarassing actually!!
So for that reason I might not repurchase if I ever ran out. For such a bright beautiful shade though, it is a worthy purchase if you don't mind some midday maintanence!!

My rating is for the only shade I've tried: Peach. I was expecting a shade that resembled "peach", but it looks fluro orange on my lips and the texture is so drying, no matter how soft my lips are before I apply the lipstick. Waste of money, really.

These are great, my favourite shades are 100 baby pink and 101 marshmallow. They are highly pigmented and long lasting. They are quite dry though and look chalky on their own. I always wear them over lip balm or under lip gloss and they look really good.

I have this in shades 52 Shocking Pink and 129 Palest Lavender.
I haven't worked out a way to wear 129 yet so that I don't look dead, but it's very creamy and pigmented.
52 is hot pink, stick-on-lips hot pink, and I LOVE it. When I wear it I don't get much done because I get stuck in front of mirrors staring at my lips. I've read that this is a slightly more pigmented dupe for Candy Yum Yum. It is just amazing. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!
EDIT: I recently bought #62 Vibrant Pink as well. 52 and 62 are *nearly* identical, and they are both amazing. If you are deciding between them, 62 is slightly warmer, slightly lighter and slightly more neon, and the texture is a bit creamier. For my skin tone (fair and neutral, leaning slightly pink) I prefer 52.

positives - cheap, nice packaging, pretty colours
negatives - very drying, chalky looking, has to be layered with gloss and used sparingly.
overall they are a bit awkward to work with but if you've got the patience you can make them look decent. Quite a lot of effort though.

Hello all.I am nc42 in mac foundations and i have looked at all barry m lipstick shades and i dont think any of them would really suit my colour tone.....until something amazing happened.Barry M have 3 or four new shades and one is called pink suede ..yep yes it is the most amzaing colour omg i cant believe i would ever like a lipstick so much .If any of you have mac velvet teddy it is like a dupe of this but even better the pink is little less brighter applies fantastic creamy and lasting colour.I have bought 7 yes im daft but i cant believe its such a beautiful pink shade which i can apply daqytime or evening and would look fantastic.it is definitely better shade than velvet teddy i will try and put a swatch of both lipsticks together later but girls please go buy this shade its so amazing its called pink suede 150 you cannot go wrong with this shade a neutrasl yet rich colour on your lips no awful smell from lipstick which is why i dont like buying cheaper lipsticks because smells and quality puts me off.this is my no 1 lipstick .in the uk boots have it on offer now for two for 7 pounds otherwise normally one i 4.49.still very cheap and better than mac vevet teddy.im so happy .

I am completely in love with this matte lipstick formula. It feels fabulous on my lips. So far it hasn't really been drying, but I really enjoy how it does feel too creamy but stays on my lips (and doesn't rub off on teeth!). I have this in 145 Punky Pink and I must say, it's the most perfect color I own. It's brilliant. It was exactly what I was looking for. Also, the lipstick case is very nice, functional but pretty and sleek. A+, would buy again.

I've tried 101 and 147. 101 is hideous on me...a white based light pink, looks ridiculous on my golden NC20/25 skintone. 147 is my favourite lipstick ever though, a gorgeous light-medium slightly pinky peach colour. Looks great for summer time, has a matte finish, great lasting power. I think the quality of the lipstick range is pretty good, the price is affordable and there are lots of colours.

Baby Pink (100) - Matte white pink. No shimmer or sheen. Much lighter than Viva Glam Gaga I, Saint Germain (by FAR!), and Melrose Mood, for reference. Saint Germain can be too dark for me so I love this lippie way more! 5/5
Marshmallow (101) - HG nude. Lighter than Myth! Matte. Almost-white but with a slight pale pink base. 5/5
Peachy Pink (147) - Perfect baby peach. Very light. A dupe would be "India" by Nyx Black Label collection lipsticks. Although where India is shinier; 147 is again, matte. 5/5
Shocking Pink (62) - The brightest pink I own. Neutral tones. Not too cool/too warm. Extreme neon pink! This one is darker than the others, but still relatively light compared to other ultra brights. Stains slightly. 5/5
Robot Blue (148) - Dark metallic blue. No lip staining whatsoever; wipes off like it was never there! However does produce a potent lipstick scent. 4/5
Silver Sparkle (105) - Clear base with only small silver glitter that show up on lips. This is actually really wearable over other lipsticks and not overly dramatic statement. It's not a silver lipstick but the glitter content is dense so from a distance gives a silver sheen. Can be messy but I have heard that glitter is the herpes of arts and crafts. You can't get rid of it no matter how hard you try. Regardless, 5/5

I have 4 shades of this brand of lipstick. In general these are pretty decent - they have a good colour range, they are highly pigmented and aren't super drying. They might dry your lips out a little bit - not a lot at all, maybe just a little bit, carry a moisturiser and you should be fine.
I like to rub the red shade I have from this brand (Pillar Box Red) on the back of my hand and just dab a small amount onto my cheeks as a cream blusher, it works really well.

I love bubblegum pink and had seen so many people talking about 100. I see it and thought wow a bubblegum color that stays, no way! So I bought and umm yeah its def chalky and I cant imagine ne one just slathering it on a normal lipstick. It has way to much pigmented white in the color BUT I love to either put it on before I put my mauve lipstick on instead of foundation or concelear its perfect for getting ur lipstick to show its true color while adding more pink tone then a concelar would OR I exfoliate (as always) with my green by nature lip scrub then dab it very lightly (a little goes a LOOOOONNNNGGG way) and then adding some gloss and u have a great color to go with a smokey eye (ya know when u overplay the eyes u gotta underplay the lips) But the pigment u get with this is amazing for the cost. I havent seen anything close to being as pigmented for so cheap ever. I dont have a problem with it being dry but then again I dont just wear it by itself and I always exfoliate! DEF DEF DEF WORTH THE MONEY!..try ebay, best deals ever!
