Got this as a christmas present, and have now used it about 20 times. I don't normally buy high end mascaras, and don't think I ever will because this was a complete let down.

It's really messy. The brush has a weird-ass shape and the tube dispenses waaay to much product on to the brush. The result is a ton of mascara on the lashes that just clumps and makes it impossible to build on with more than one coat.

It was okay at first. Quite liquid and could therefore be hard to control. I remember thinking that maybe when it dries out a little it would be less messy and easier to apply. instead it got progressively worse. Now it literally just makes my lashes one big, short clump. From there I try to spread the product out, but it just keeps clumping and going everywhere it's not supposed to.

End result for me is that the wand leaves my lashes "glued" together in groups of 2-3 lashes that are heavily coated, so it looks just like one very thick lash that is maybe a little longer than my natural lashes. Also I have a ton of product on my lid and under my eyes.

Lasting power is nothing to brag about either. After about 3 hours it smudges on me and after a 8-10 hour day I'm a panda. Wear-time is slightly improved with a good mascara primer but still not great.

Maybe there is some clever technique with the brush that makes this work, but in my opinion the combination of that weird brush, a tube that doesn't take off ANY excess product and the messy formula is just a complete fail.

Only pro I can think of is that the formula is really black, and that it does work a bit better with a primer. That is not really a pro but at least I can get some use out if that way.

Conclusion:
Save your money.
Very bad combination of brush, too much product and messy a formula that smudges after a short period of time.
Works slightly better with a primer, but will (at best) only make it useable for short days when you know it won't be challenged too much.

Very messy to apply and gets everywhere. Clumps very easily and hard to build up without getting clumpy and it also applied unevenly. There is light floral scent that makes me think of roses and I have to say I like it. Not that my mascara requires a scent by any means but it does make me a little happy :).
It flaked quite a bit during the day and got into my eyes.
When building up lashes it tended to give off more of a spider lash effect than a false lash look. Length is ok but not spectacular.
Overall I do kinda like it haha, after spending wayyy to much time I can get it to a look I prefer.
I would not personally every buy this again unless they revamp the formula and fix all the major flaws.

First off, my preference is for mascara that provides length, thickness, and separation. Added curl is a nice bonus but clumps are a no-go for me.

Which is where this mascara failed horribly.

I had a deluxe sample size that I used a couple of days before tossing. Despite wiping the excess product from the wand, there was still just WAY too much product. I could wipe off the wand, do one eye which would look horrid, and then do my second eye and still have way too much product when I was done. Basically, the clumps were out of control.

As I said, I didn't use it very long and I'm wondering if maybe this is a mascara that would get better with time. But it seemed to gradually get worse as I used it those handful of days so I wouldn't count on it.

This is my go-to mascara, though the reasons I like it may be reasons others won't like it. First, this is one of the few black mascaras I can wear. I'm pretty pale, and most black mascara makes me look like a creepy doll. This looks much more natural, and doesn't overwhelm my face, which means it's not as dark or dramatic as some other black mascaras out there. Second, it adds nice definition, but I'm not sure it does much for plumping or lengthening. Again, that suits me fine, as I have fairly long lashes to begin with, and I don't need major mascaraing for daytime. I also love the brush- the shape is perfect for how my arm and eye work together. I find it very easy to work with. This is something I absolutely repurchase when I run out.

I received this in a gift set for christmas, and loved it from my first application.

After a couple of weeks, thats when I started to notice a couple of cons about this mascara. The mascara dried out and became completely clumpy after around 6 weeks - and was completely unusable from this point. The fragrance of the mascara was VERY overpowering - think strong flowers and chemicals.

I love so many aspects of this mascara:
it lengthens my lashes amazingly.
The colour is very pigmented.
It lasts all day.
Thickens my eyelashes A LOT.
Isn't clumpy if you only use two coats.

Now the reason for the 2 starts, is that the cons totally outweigh the pros. For me, a mascara costing over £20 has to last for at least a couple of months - my £3 Essence Lash Princess Mascara has lasted me 5 months, and is only £3.

It clumped my long thick lashes, Its a mess to apply and I consider the formula TOO wet. I rather stick to the doll eyes instead. This was not what I expected from this mascara

I agree with some of the other reviews that this mascara was kind of "eh." I typically use Covergirl's Lash Blast volume as my first coat or two, then Maybelline Falsies for the added length and pop. I don't wear much makeup, but I do love to make my eyes stand out. I did the same with this except used the Lancome instead of the Falsies. The result was not as good.

I have found that mascaras with different wands (this one is kind of curved an wavy) can take some time to get used to when getting it right. That's how Falsies was with me. However, I just don't think the product for the price beats other much cheaper alternatives. It sort of goes on heavy, wet and clumpy. Maybe once it dries out a bit it would be better but I stick with my assessment that a $8 tube far exceeds a $30 one.

Over, I did find it to be an ok mascara. I've used 2 tubes of it already, once purchased and once gift with purchase. I will not be using this again unless I get it as another gift with purchase. The mascara is really great at lengthening lashes, although I did not find it to be as volumizing as I would have liked. Also, when applying, you have to be VERY careful, because the mascara does sometimes tend to clump the lashes together. (When this happens to me, I use needlepoint tweezers to re-separate my lashes). Overall, I think that there are a lot better mascara options for the volumized look that I'm going for, and will not be repurchasing.

I feel like this mascara is stuck in the 80's or 90's. It's the kind of mascara that coats your lashes in thick globs and screams MASCARA, like girls used to wear when I was in middle school. It's about as subtle as Kim Kardashian's butt. I much prefer mascaras that leave my lashes looking smooth, not full of goop. The wand is a weird shape too - not just curved, but wavy. It's all gimmicky and annoying without serving any useful purpose.

My favorite mascara hands down. Pricy but well worth it for me, I go back and forth with all types of mascaras and this by far is the one I always go back to. I have long lashes and this mascara works the best out of them. Its buildable, does not clump as much as other voluminous mascaras (you can just separate lashes easily with tooth pick when it rarely happens) and it lasts me a long time.
