I don't get this eyeliner so it's waterproof and long lasting but some how it transfers on to my crease and somehow manages to smear all over my face and its difficult to remove when i wash my makeup off. This is just a disappointment I only got this because I'm allergic to eyeliner (and no my eyeballs don't turn red I have an allergy where my skin around my eyelid swells and itches) but this eyeliners burns like crap Everytime I put it on! I thought everything bare escentuals made was for sensitive skin! Well it's all lies. Also the color payoff sucks I have to put on a lot of this liner in order to make it opaque while through out the day it fades and turns gray. Just not worth it

love this. this is my first gel liner. and this trumphs eyeliner pens and liquid liners! gawd, it draws such a tight line to my eyelashes, FLAWLESSLY. one clean straight sweep. i've used liquid liners and it takes some time to get it so perfect, plus, b/c of my eyeshape, doesn't seem to sit nicely throughout the day (i have partial hooded eyes).
so i love how easy this products lines the eyes and sits all day! no panda eyes. usually i need primer and powder to have it sit properly, but nope, i can take the lazy way out on this one, if i do a tight line over my eyes. bought at sephora $10 with brush and gel liner. the brush is also awesome.

Goes on so easily (smooooooth), decent staying power, and has actually made my eyelashes grow longer. I've been using this generously for ~6 months and only gone through about half of the pot. This stuff is great for lining but not as good if I want to do winged liner or any crazy stuff as it seems to never dry completely if I apply it anywhere but directly over my eyelashes.
I like to use a fine point brush for application, it seems like angled eyeliner brushes pick up too much.

This is a decent gel liner. The formula is great and stays on for a really long time. It also applies very smoothly. Leatherette is a basic black, but it is not a super dark black or anything. I do wish this color was more pigmented! This little glass jar will last a long time- I've had mine for 2 1/2 years and it still hasn't dried out yet! I didn't find the lash enhancing claims to be true, even when I used it every day straight for a year. When I run out soon I probably will not repurchase as I want something more black and pigmented, however this is a good product if you're looking for a basic black gel liner!

OMG! at the steep price and the name brand it is I expected sooo much better quality of a product. I tried it for a week and everyday it transferred to my crease. I don't have saggy lids, I used a primer and all it went back to Sephora. It had promise because it went on amazing and smooth.

I'm surprised by all the positive reviews on this product because it did nothing for my lashes and it dried out very fast (and I live in a very humid city). It applies the same as other gel liners (MAC, cheap Japanese ones), and isn't really that "black".

So first off, the eyelash claims are definitely true. The length and thickness of my lashes improved noticeably, which is the main reason I would buy this. Some cons are that it dries up quickly so that i have to dip in more than once to get a solid dramatic black line. It is a dark black but not the blackest black i have ever used. Also, the price for one pot ($18) is relatively steep. Overall I would repurchase again because of the eyelash growth , lasting power, and application but I'm also eyeing the Physician's Formula Eyeboosting Serum+ Eyeliner as a cheaper alternative.

Best liner by far. Im not sure why but my lashes do actually look a lot thicker when I use this liner versus a regular pencil. The effects are not lasting though, as soon as you stop using it, lashes go back to normal. It does however last forever, wont need to repurchase for a while, but when its time, I pray they wont discontinue, much less loss of lashes when I take my mascara off.

Although this product is expensive I would buy it again. It has a nice consistency, which does not irritate my sensitive eyes. Another thing I like is it's not a dramatic black. Carbon black eyeliner is too harsh on me. This lasts tor awhile as well. It doesn't flake and goes on quite creamy. I don't know if it will help eyelashes. Time will tell.

I was super excited to try this because of all the positive reviews I had seen but it unfortnately did not work for me. I wore it for a whole day with seemingly no problem, but when I woke up the next morning my eyes were super bloodshot and filled with goo (ew) which is totally not normal for me. I'm guessing this hasn't happened to many people but I'd say to those with sensitize eyes...use with caution.

I love this stuff. I don't use liner unless it's a special occasion, which is why I feel justified in buying a pricey brand. When I use it I do notice my lashes look longer and don't come out as easily as they usually do.

- it lines VERY smoothly so it's soooo easy to apply.
- it's very thick and rich black. i LOVE it.
- reason i gave it a four: i have asymmetrical lids. they are both double eyelids but one of them is folded farther down than the other one. this one is a problem because when my face is relaxed, some parts of my top lid touches the lower lid and the lower lid is where i apply the buxon lashliner. the lashliner doesn't really PREFECTLY DRY. over the time of day, some of it would smear onto my upper folded lid, creating like a double lash line. it's not very noticeable but it's just something that bothers me and it's my genetics fault. but if you have perfect eyelids, this is really something to get.

It is so smooth and pigmented, you really get a true black! It is extremely hard to take off, but i do find that when i do a winged out look, the ends (where wing is) smudges a bit throughout the day (might be b/c my eyes get easily watery). There is a lot of product, considering you only need to use a little bit, this jar easily lasts me over a year so it is definitely worth the investment. However, i did not notice any changes in my eyelash length. I have repurchased it twice already and i love it!

This glides on evenly in a rich black, even with a very thin line. I find it easier to control than a pencil or wet liner, and it doesn't make my eyes itch at all. When I want a simple but put-together makeup look I reach for this, some blush and a lip gloss and I'm ready to go.
Edit: Upon using another gel eyeliner, I realize just how much I love this stuff and am bumping it from 4 to 5 stars.

Love the smooth, creamy, easy to apply consistency. I would think that with such creaminess it would smudge, but as long as I give it time to set it stays on the entire day. I've used clinique (which I hated) and MAC gel liners and overall this liner is so much better. I use this to create the perfect, easy, dramatic looking wing liner for my upper eyelid and to tightline. It is so easy to create the perfect shapes with this because of the consistency. Super creamy and yet not watery (ahem clinique). It's been a year since i've had this and it retained its wetness without drying out at all (ahem MAC). I don't really know what to say about its lash enhancing properties because I only use this eyeliner a few times a week. Looking at these reviews below though i might start becoming more diligent about applying daily :)
I take a lippie off because the only thing that prevents it from being hg status is that the color isn't a true inky black. It is definitely a dramatic color but I like my mascaras and liners to be as black as possible and find that I have to go over this with a liquid liner or go over it with another layer to achieve the perfect color. I wish I can combine the smooth, wet texture and staying power of this liner with the pigmentation and of Clinique true black and i will be a very happy girl. Sigh.

I've been using this product for almost a year now and I love it! It promises to increase growth in eyelashes, but I already have pretty long lashes naturally so I didn't see much of a change. I did however notice that my eyelashes fell out less and less, so I do believe that the product strengthened them. Nice noticeably black color. Stays on all day long without smudging; however, if you accidentally rub your eye or touch the liner then it will rub off. One tub lasted almost a year with use everyday. I would definitely recommend this to a friend and will for sure be buying it again.

This gel eyeliner is just okay.
"Leatherette" is a very accurate title, because the texture it just odd.
It dries out very quickly as you use it. After having it for just a month, using it maybe 10 times, I had to SCRAPE OFF a top layer to be able to use more of the product.
At the top, it had been chunky, and very rough. To the fingertip, it did actually feel like leather. Quite odd.
It is very black, which is the best thing about it! As long as you can dip your brush into a non-leathery spot, it also goes on very smoothly.
It lasts pretty well throughout the day, perhaps too well?
When I am removing my makeup at night, if I want to take it all off of my top lash line, I'd have to rub my eye more roughly than I would feel comfortable rubbing.
The packaging was very middle-of-the-road, just like the product and the price of around $15 at Sephora. The lid on the gel is very hard to remove, because the lid is so much bigger than the pot of the liner.
I wouldn't buy this product again until I've tried a few other gel eyeliners that I haven't tried. I wouldn't be averse to coming back to this liner later on if nothing else works out for me. My experience with this product wasn't bad by any means, just not remarkable.

I had been hellbent on trying out this liner for a long time. I'm an avid user of gel/cream liners and when I heard MakeupbyTiffanyD rave about it I knew I had to try it. A liner with lash enhancing properties appealed to me greatly. The idea of the Buxom Lashliner is great, but I do have some issues with it.
First off the amount you get is minuscule. It comes with 2g of product, which I think is a rip off considering the price you pay for it. But for a HG item I'd be very willing to pay a steep price. The pigmentation of this liner is not what I'd like it to be. When I get a black liner I want it to be a true black. This liner is not at all like that. It's a muted black, almost a grey when applied. I always have to set it with a pigmented black for it to actually look black. This is frustrating for me, even though I always set my liner with powder. If this liner is classified as black, I'd like it to be a true BLACK. As for the lash enhancing qualities, I have absolutely no doubt that this strengthens your lashes. After using this for a few weeks I noticed new lash growth around when I applied my liner and less lash loss when I removed my eye makeup.
So it's mixed feelings I have for this liner. It's decent when it comes to the liner itself, but I love what it does for my lashes. I will have to see if I would purchase this again, but I do think this is a unique product worth trying.

Holy wowee. I didn't even know this product was a conditioning/lash growing liner until my boyfriend noticed one day after using this for a few months every day @_@ That in itself is awesome, he said "Are you using a new mascara? You're lashes look really long, babe." I had noticed a few times they looked longer and fuller, but I thought maybe it was just me :o! This is rather excting for me because I've always had short sparse lashes, and now my lashes are curly and medium length almost :) Makes me wonder how unhealthy my poor lashes were!
And the liner itself is great, good pigmentation and it doesn't migrate on my lids like Blacktrack from MAC does :) A def rebuy!
