- I take care of my lips due directly to my obsession with lip colors, so there is no reason why this product should fail so miserably on every level. Save your money or try something else. -
*Quality: I did NOT like this product at all. The color immediately goes on unevenly. Even when I went over it again, the dark areas would just get darker and it still gave a splotchy look. It felt sticky constantly, it never completely "dried" to get rid of the stickiness. After a couple of hours, the color towards the inside area of my lips began to fade away so it looked like I was wearing very dark lip liner with a completely different color lipstick. Around the same amount of time, it began to ball up in random areas and flake off. Although my lips never felt super dry like some other long wear lip products do, the stickiness was just as irritating.
*Color: I gave this product 2 tries. Before the above mentioned fiasco, I had purchased and returned a different shade of this lip product without wearing it long enough to test the quality. I thought maybe the first color I bought was just too light for my skin tone (cannot recall the color name), but even Brilliant Bordeaux was not quite the same color as the bottle after applied. Although, this could just be because of how uneven it wears.

I actually really loved this product. It went on well and the colour was brilliant. It stayed on all day and only flaked when I ate something oily. This is the only long wearing lipstick that's ever worked for me.

After using this product for a while. I feel as though I have been harsh on this lip product. It does fulfill its claims that being: it provides a full on colour which definitely last along time, if not all day. The colour is beautiful and rich and the intensity can be varied depending on how weak or strong it is applied. The formulae of this lipstick has changed since I purchased it and it is a lot less runny than it was, which for me is a good thing. All in all its a good product and I generally use it as a lip stain, it does the job well. I do like the fact that it contains a lot of product and it is cost effective in comparison to felt tip lip stains (which tend to dry up). All I can say is ... that this product has grown on me :)

It was a great colour, and great idea. It does work well, but it is extremely drying and does feel very tacky after putting it on. It looks great on my lips, but it does go on unevenly. I normally put lip balm, a lipliner and then put it on. It still comes off after a while, but it does look good on me as long as I do it lightly which can be hard to do because a lot of the product likes to get all over the applicator.
Price is a bit too much for it. I don't think I'll be repurchasing even though I do like the colour a lot.

I absolutely love the color of this but the formula is gross. It is super drying and tends to peel after a couple hours. Also I hate the want for trying to apply lipstick. It's hard to use.

The color is gorgeous, but it goes on unevenly and it tends to feel like dried glue on my lips that I can't help but peel off, but maybe others out there have more self control in that matter

I bought this at CVS when they had the two for one deal, which I think they still have going on. I loved the color, loved the packaging, but the applicator I did not. It's just a doe footed applicator which sucks because the color goes on completely uneven and splotchy. The sponge also soaks up a lot of product so you have to wipe a lot of it back off into the tube before applying or you'll get a mess. You're probably better off with a lip brush, but I just wipe the excess color back into the tube and layer the color a little at a time for an even distribution. It dries to a matte finish which I really like, but it leaves your lips extremely dry. I just put a bit of Carmex lip balm over it to moisten my lips instead of gloss because I don't want all the shine. It does do as it claims. This color stays on for HOURS. Even if you try to remove if right after application, you're gonna need some oil-based product to remove it because simply wiping it off won't cut it . Overall, I wouldn't purchase this product again unless they changed the applicator or it was on sale. It's just too much hassle for a simple lip color.

wow, so not what i expected, i hated this! beautiful color but made me look like i had dried spots of blood on my lips where the color adhered, other places it wore right off. i read some reviews of this particular l/s and how to apply it, dry lips, all of that but still, just so awful. i did try it with a gloss over it but it still looked patchy, uneven and the gloss made it come right off. i am always searching for a truly long lasting l/s or lg that looks "normal," stays put (ahem!), and wears off in a more attractive way than this. waste of money for me.

I've been really wanting to try out some reds and darker cherry shades this winter and when I saw this at WalMart for roughly $7 I thought, why not?

Well, I bought this lastnight and have tried it on a couple of times...I'm thoroughly unimpressed.
The doe-foot applicator is great for a light to clear gloss, not something as dark and pigmented as this. It makes for an uneven and even sloppy looking application, a brush would have been better for more careful precision and even distribution of the product across the lips.

In the tube it looks pearly with tiny micro glitter flecks in it, but on the lips it dries to a matte-like finish and the subtle shimmer is practically gone.:/

It has a sticky feel to it and is very drying on my lips, not at all flattering on enjoyable to wear.

The color is still pretty, but not what it's advertised to be in the tube.

I'm incredibly disappointed and will be returning this item back to WalMart immediately.

Here's a pic. of it on my lips -2 layers:

The only reason it's getting 3 lippies instead of less, is because it is a pretty berry red shade.

Great color. This is a beautiful burgandy color on my NW25 skin. It's easy to use and lasts forever.

I took off one lippie because this stuff really seriously dries my lips out. It has to be used with a gloss which doesn't keep the matte finish I love.

Absolutely gorgeous colour, but this flaked terribly on me! It's also very drying and i had to apply a top coat from another long-wearing product. Not a good formula. I expected better from Revlon!

Covergirl Outlast lip color has been my mainstay for years, but I haven't been able to find a good, neutral, not-too-bright color for everyday for a while - I've wasted a small fortune trying colors that looked great in the tube. I finally got smart and started buying them at places I could return them.

Anyway, I saw this and decided to give it a try. I got it in Brilliant Bordeaux which doesn't sound neutral but is on me - matches the inside of my lips yet give me nice, flattering color without being too bright.

Like Outlast, it comes in a hard plastic tube with a wand. It's more liquid than Outlast, but otherwise applies and wears very much the same: I apply one quick coat, smooth with my finger for a more even look and clean up the edges if needed before it can start drying. Then I let it totally dry and apply a topcoat of my clear Outlast gloss or balm - Revlon says one's not needed, but I like it better with it.

Like Outlast, unless I eat something really greasy, it lasts from early morning until I remove it at bedtime with oil-free eye makeup remover. As with other brands, all colors may not wear equally well. Also as with other brands, it won't crack or flake unless you put on too thick a coat or multiple coats
