I bought this since I was looking for a cheaper alternative for Essie polish. Got this at Target for 2.99. Looked cute, almost like Orly's Star Spangled polish. Upon application, I found that the formula is really runny and weird. The brush is a bit longer than normal polish but also thinner. It's not as foolproof to apply as Essie because the polish is so runny and the brush makes application messier. I had to clean up a lot of polish outside my nail bed. Not for non-pros. It also took so long to dry between applications. Been sitting for 30 mins and it still hasnt dried. The glitters were not at as expected, looked flat and not too sparkly when applied had to put 2 coats of Orly top coat to give it some shine. Im yet to test its lasting power. But might not buy the same product again. You get what you paid for.

I never wear bright red nail polish - except around Christmas time I might do an accent nail with it. That's why I bought this color last holiday season - I got this for dirt cheap on clearance. The color is absolutely stunning. A vibrant maraschino cherry red with red sparkles. It just glows on the nail. It has a jelly consistency but given that it is very opaque. I fell deeply in love with this color just wearing it as an accent nail (I wore it w/ ChG Emerald Sparkle and it looked a-mazing!). I didn't have any problem with the wear time on it and I used an inexpensive top and base coat. I have tried ChG Ruby Pumps but much prefer Red Carpet because it is more vibrant to my eye. I would absolutely recommend this color and will be pulling it out again for Xmas this year :)

From the bottle, this color looks like a gorgeous, sparkly red. The brush is horrible. It's too big and polish gets all over the place. It started chipping the day I put it on, even with two coats and a top coat. It also took forver to dry. I will not buy this product again.

This is a great color to wear, and I always get questions and compliments when I wear it!! Love it, and since I got it on clearance, I hope its not being discontinued. This is the one polish my roomies always ask to borrow out of the 50 or so that I have for them to choose from. Looks beautiful every time.

This is one of my favorite red nail polishes. This is a beautiful deep red with red shimmers. I got this because it reminded me of Dorothy's red slippers. The application is very smooth. It really only needs one coat, but two coats make it extra opaque. It's perfect for the holidays or any occasion, really. I love this polish! I wear SV over this and it lasts for a good 5 days without chipping, and I do a lot of dishwashing! I will definitely repurchase this when I run out!

OK I hate jelly polishes, so I bought this to layer over black. This polish really shines when layered over a dark color! It makes a normal flat black polish look like a sparkly, deep blood red. I wouldn't wear it on its own because I like deeper reds, but it's awesome for layering.

Absolutely gorgeous deep red shimmery polish that is very inexpensive and readily available in most drug stores. The polish is pigmented and dries very quickly. In terms of wear I do find it can chip easily, but a good top coat definitely extended the longevity of wear.

This polish is a gorgeous deep red jelly with red glass fleck glitter. It is beautiful in two thin coats, but you could even get away with just one coat. It is *that* densely pigmented, and without being thick at all. The people who are saying they needed three coats, I have no idea why... maybe the formula has changed? Well whatever, all you need to know is that the current formula is fantastic.


I have it on my toes right now with two coats of clear on top to bring out the amazing depth of the red jelly. I love that the red glass fleck is somewhat subtle. It's not in-your-face blingy glitter, it's little sparks of red light shining through. My toenails look like jewels! I absolutely love it, and for the dirt cheap price you can't go wrong with this purchase.

So pretty.....love it. My first purchase of an Extreme Wear polish, and I am pretty impressed. It is such a beautiful red. It's shimmery, but not like big chunks of glitter. I use it only on my toes, as I don't polish my fingernails. It has been on them for a week now, and they still look perfect. Would definitely repurchase.

This color is just mind-blowing. I bought it thinking it was just going to be a red glitter, but I was wrong! It's a true red jelly packed with tons of glitter. After a few coats (I believe I used either 2 or 3), my nails were GLOWING. I wore it for 5 days (which is a long time for me; I get bored easily) and could not stop staring at my nails! I can definitely see myself wearing this a lot in the winter and even a special night out.

I'm obsessed with this color!! I love super, extreme red nail polish and that fact that this one has red sparkles all in it. My god, I just love the color more than anything. I think this is a cheaper alternative to China Glaze's Ruby Red Pumps.
Only dislike about this polish is since it's loaded with BEAUTIFUL glitter it's a job and a half to remove. Worth it, however!!

Sally Hansen Red Carpet is super cheap, really sparkly, and very pigmented! This is a beautiful, rich colour that would suit a lot of people. I bought it for less than two dollars so it's definitely not as pricey as some other red jelly shimmer polishes. I used two coats but I definitely could have gotten away with one.

As for cons - I found the brush a bit too wide to get at the bottom sides of my nails. Also, it dries a little bit bumpy but that is pretty standard for a shimmer-packed polish. Any top coat eliminates the problem altogether.

I would definitely buy this again. The colour is stunning and rich and the shimmer is so pretty.

After randomly picking up a LE Essie polish called Love, Beverly Hills on sale over a year ago, I've been on the look out for another dupe. It was an amazing red with real 24K gold micro glitter that everyone commented on. Sadly I ran out of it pretty quickly because my roomies/friends kept using it! Therefore, I was super happy to have stumbled on the last Red Carpet today during a $1.99 sale at CVS today. Although it's not the same, it's very close to Love, Beverly Hills. 2 coats is enough for a gorgeous and vibrant statement!

This is one of those nail polishes that look amazing in the bottle and you kind of expect it to look less shiny and nice on the nails. But boy are you ever wrong because this looks so gorgeous on the nails!
It's a beautiful colour for the holiday season. I don't think I went a day without this on in December. I've found love in a bottle, and it was surprisingly affordable.

This looks amazing in the bottle----sparkles like a jewel, but when on the hands it's even more perfect. The color is bold and sexy and is not something I would normally wear (generally like darker shades of red) however I will make an exception for this one. Application is easy, and lasts for about 5 days before chipping. The long wand and flat brush makes for precise painting; something required when wearing such an attention-getting shade. I've gotten compliments on it daily and recommend this to everyone. Price paid was $1.75 CDN =).
