Like many on the fragrance boards, this was my first exposure to the ubiquitous Chergui. I loved the dupe so much (my sister is also obsessed) that I had to get my hands on a mini of the original for comparison's sake.

Initially, the original has more of the famous 'hay' accord, a bit drier and slightly more masculine. Minutes later, the real deal and the dupe are absolutely identical to my nose. I'd be more than happy if the original fell into my lap somehow, but otherwise, I'm very satisfied with Kathy's version. :)

This was my introduction to cherryblossomdiva's perfumes. I'd read a lot about her on the boards and had planned to try some out, and then received this in a swap. Although I cannot really compare to the SL original since it's been too long ago that I sampled it, this dupe is a huge, warm, dramatic hug of sweet spicy hay and rich tobacco-vanilla that smells amazing on me and my husband. I adore it and can't wait for colder weather so I can wrap myself up in it.
Needless to say I've got 2 more orders in to CBD! Great work!

Like the previous reviewer wrote, it smells like honey, a bit of tobacco and vanilla. It has great sillage, and yes, it is beautiful! It lasts some 3 hours. I only have the sample. Idkn the original though, but it is certainly worth at least having a vial sample.I would buy the roll-on. I chose this sample because of these reviews, and I am happy with it.
I bought the CBD PERFUME OIL 6 VIAL SAMPLE SET .02 OZ .I have tested many fragrances from cherry blossom diva this way. It is great fun to choose from the list and smell all the vials when they arrive.

I started with 6 samples. I live in Brazil, and I wanted to see if they would indeed arrive. Ladies, it takes about 30 days for it to arrive here. Nothing leaked.

It is as TrailerQueenPDX said below - pretty powerful stuff. It captures the spirit of Chergui rather accurately. Without a side by side comparison the smell is of a lot of hay (tonka), sugar, and cream, highlighted with a bit of tobacco and vanilla. It has great sillage, and as the tobacco gets deepened I'd say it's a pretty good imitation of Chergui's downwind and pretty beautiful! The first time I wore it I put a tiny dab on my wrist before I walked home from work and I can smell it strongly throughout the 40 mins walk.

Now meet SL Chergui. It has more spice and wood. The hay and sweet notes that give me a vision of glorious golden sand dunes are common to both SL's and CBD's concoctions. But only SL's version brings in the Moroccan wind in the form of sandalwood and anise, which then transform to jammy rose. It isn't hard to tell which one has " a bit more of something". But then the two are drastically different in prices, so it is only fair that they are different.

I wouldn't buy this again because unless I absolutely bathe in Chergui every day I can't foresee myself finishing up my bottle of Chergui AND this CBD's dupe oil for a very very long time.

I have tested a few other of CBD's oil (Diva!, Fleurs Oranger, Wood Vanilla, and Spiritual Vanilla) and out of the five this is the only one that impresses me. If you are interested in CBD products by all means try this - but don't expect the others to live up to the same level of promises!!

Regarding Cherryblossomdiva Chergui dupe, I do have a sample of Serge Lutens Chergui. The SL sample lasts a long time, is powerful, a dab will do, and is always pleasing. The CBD version is not approx, is linear, no development, but is in that general area and is powerful. I don't like the oil carrier, as it tends to add a cooking vegetable-oil smell that turns funky on hot days, and is more evident in lighter floral types.
I commented to CBD, but she did not make any offers to replace with an alcohol-type.
I had stupidly bought about 10-15 samples, and truthfully, I could not tell much difference between the musky types, as well as the light florals.
I'd love to hear of better dupes.

I don't have SL's Chergui here to do a side-by-side comparison; however, this Moroccan Chergui is *exactly* how I remember. Beautiful, stunning, and I would never see the point of paying big bucks after finding this. Cherryblossomdiva is an etailer. She sells on evilbay plus has a site of her own. Really great stuff.
