I feel terrible saying I didn't like this. :/
About my hair: it's dark-ish blonde, VERY VERY greasy (I have to wash it every single day or I look really disgusting), fine and long.

I have been using baby powder on my hair for a while, now. If you've never tried it: it's very powdery, so it does leave a residue that you can feel and see, but it soaks up the oils FOR REAL. Because I'm blonde, I don't mind the residue very much, it just kind of disappears once I rub my scalp.
Recently I had to travel and decided to buy my first bottle of dry shampoo ever, because taking baby powder on a trip it's obviously not practical. I had heard amazing things about Batiste and everyone seems to love it so much, so I decided to get it. I first bought the Fresh scent, but couldn't stand it. It gave me imediate headaches, so I returned it and got the Original scent.

I have used this product multiple times now, so here's what I think of it:

1) I do like the scent of it, it's quite citrusy and clean without being overwhelming. It gave no headaches.
2) It doesn't leave too much of a residue and I believe this will work for any hair colour as long as you blend it into your scalp. Never forget to do that, or else you'll have a white blob in the middle of your head.
3) It doesn't feel powdery, which is something that really bothers me about baby powder. Whenever my boyfriend touches my hair, he imediately knows I have it on (he doesn't understand the struggles).
4) Didn't make my hair tangly or stiff, but rather flowy and soft
5) Now, what I DON'T like about it's that it didn't do the only thing I was expecting it to do: clean my hair. It seriously does nothing. The effects are so subtil they're barely noticeable. At first, I thought I wasn't using enough, so I spritzed a few times in each section of hair (which is honestly a waste), but my hair still looked dirty. Maybe a little less, but dirty. Unlike baby powder, that would keep me clean for a few days, this made my hair slightly less gross for a few hours, and then it would look horrible again. The only way I could use it without being pissed was at the end of the day, when my hair isn't greasy yet but it's already starting to look limp, so a little oompf is appreciated.

I've tried the XXL Volume only once before, and I remember I really liked it. It gave volume, despite making my hair a little tangly but it definitely cleaned my hair in just a few spritzes.

Overall, I don't understand the point of this and I don't know why it didn't work for me. Because this is affordable, I would recommend trying it out if you're curious. I believe it could work for hairs that don't get extremely greasy but could use a little pick me up. If your hair is similar to mine, though, I don't see how it could be any good.

This is the best dry shampoo I've tried so far. It's cheap and it works.

I've tried several scents from bastiste, and this one was what worked the best. It's very white when applied (I have dark hair), but after brushing the hair it's almost gone, and the hair looks nice and not oily. I totally recommend to try it :)

Batiste is the only affordable dry shampoo that can completely rescue oily hair two or three days after hair washing. I usually apply it once washed hair has become oily, but I will also put it on in advance if I'm going out somewhere where I'll be hot and sweaty to give it texture and help keep it looking good all night.

I bought this as an emergency buy when I was working an afternoon shift followed by a night shift followed by a morning shift right after redyeing my hair, and didn't have the time or opportunity to go anywhere but the local supermarket in the hour's break before the night shift began.

It's OK, is all I can really say about it. It leaves a pale residue, but at the very least it's an even pale residue. My long-term hair colour is Special Effects Iguana Green, so washing it as little as possible is key to keeping the colour fresh for longer and avoiding spending inordinate amounts of money on dye (SFX is difficult to find and expensive to buy in the UK).

A week to ten days is my optimum hair-washing frequency. I'm on day four, with being cooped up in a showercap during showering and facial cleansing having left my hair rather limp. Having just used this, it has definitely put the bounce back in my hair and made it look far less greasy, although the roots still feel oily (though not sticky) to the touch. My velvet-green is a full shade lighter, however, and looking much less vibrant. This might be less of an issue for mid-to-light, virgin hair, but in my case vibrancy and brightness of colour is what I was aiming at by having green hair in the first place, so it's a little sad to see.

I wouldn't exactly keep this on my must-haves shelf but as an emergency buy, it wasn't bad. It does the job and doesn't make me look like I have a bad case of dandruff. Three stars.

I am not sure if it is simply this particular product I am not impressed with. Guess the whole concept of dry shampoos is not for me as I prefer freshly washed clean hair.
The product does seem to absorb some scalp oil but it is slightly visible and it leaves my hair bit messy and greasy. I am assuming it should work better on someone who has lots of wavy or curly hair.

This is the best dry shampoo I've ever tried. It beats out the Bed Head one by a long shot. The sprayer works better and it doesn't leave so much heavy residue.

With a couple of sprays and a little bit of brushing, this stuff transforms my hair from greasy to light and full of body. I have really oily hair but I HATE having to wash it everyday because it destroys my hair. When I discovered this, it was love. This combats my oily so well without weighing my hair down at all. I was so impressed!!

The scent isn't bad, either. I don't love it but it's much better than the weird citrus scent in the Bed Head spray. As for white residue, I don't really have a problem with it. As long as you brush your hair after you spray this, and don't spray too much, you'll be just fine.

I haven't tried any of the other scents or any of the tinted versions of this, but so far I love this one! Definitely my HG dry shampoo and a life saver as well. My hair is so much healthier now that I'm not washing it to death.

This is a great value dry shampoo. Major volume too. I have one at home and in my gym locker. The original is the best. I always find the colored ones so messy. The key to eliminating the white powder is to not over apply and the really shake/brush the product in thoroughly

I love love love this dry shampoo! I have used almost every brand of dry shampoo the drugstore has to offer. I have very oily hair which needs to be washed every day. I have been able to take stringy, oily hair to fresh bouncy clean hair, using Batiste! The smell is ok, and I don't like that it goes in white, with this being said... The white easily brushes out and you couldn't even tell it was there. Best dry shampoo on the market.

Boy, do I not like this stuff.

Long story short, the only thing that's good about it is it's the only dry shampoo I've found in a travel size that's easy to find at walgreens. Other than that, it weighs hair down, doesn't blend, stays white in your hair (I have lighter colored hair too so it should blend just fine), and SMELLS LIKE CLEANER. I think they should drastically improve the scent if anything.

Amazing. I hate washing my hair everyday, I try to get at least three days out of every wash and thanks to Batiste I can go a week. It smells good. Adds loads of volume, it covers my roots which is great, being blonde it lightens up my hair and brushes out easily. It is also a necessity for festivals or travelling where washing your hair may not be possible but you can still look good and have great hair even after two days - love it! The XXL volume is especially good for volume though maybe not as easy brush out but still great :)
