This is a hard one to review. On one hand, it's definitely more pigmented and fuller in coverage than your standard lip gloss. But it's still not as opaque as your average lipstick. I'd liken the coverage to that of a MAC lustre lipstick. I had to goop and gop this on my lips to achieve medium-full coverage, though I do have very pigmented natural lips.
The color has potential to be either the most beautiful nude I've ever seen, or yet another bland nude that pulls greyish. Problem is, I can't really tell because the sheerness kicks in with my pigmented lips. If you have lighter lips, it obviously won't affect pigmentation. The shade looks like MAC Jubilee in the pot. In bright lighting, it appears as if this was a neutral pink nude on me in store lighting (I'm currently around NC25). But when I went outside in dim daylight (well, we don't really have sunlight here in Seattle), it appeared darker and almost coral.
I still can't decide if this is more of a lip gloss or a lipstick. I honestly would like it to be more opaque, but then again the gloss aspect of it does make it look more natural and melts in with the complexion.
Is it worth $25? No. Come back when you have fuller coverage and more pigmentation and then we'll talk, Nars.

This is another one of my very few nude coloured lip products. I like the colour and the payoff of this product, but it has an odd scent. I'm weird and sort of enjoy the scent, but I know it is probably terrible to most people. I don't like that it's in a little tub, because I have snoopy family members, and they just stick their fingers in there, and it skeeves me out. Many of you probably do not have that problem. (Don't you just hate it when people touch your makeup with out even asking?!) And lastly, this product is a bit sticky. But still. it is a nice nude shade.

The perfect pinky nude lip! I've been searching for a subtle nude lipgloss and I found it with chelsea girls. The packaging could be better, but the product is so pigmented and thick I don't think a tube with an applicator would work. I've found applying with your finger is the best. This is worth the money! I see it easily outlasting any mac lipgloss.

Great for making a nude lip. It will absolutely wash you out and make your lips all but disappear except for some pale shine, which is good for the smokey eye. But it is very sticky, so you have to wear your hair up (not so good for a smokey eye) and worst of all it smells bad, like cheap/old make-up even when fresh from Sephora. I expect way better from NARS.
Note: it is pinker looking in the pot than it looks on the lips; it's actually beige.

My search for the perfect nude lip is OVER! I have pale, neutral toned skin. Every nude lipstick has made me look like a zombie, or like I just ate a powdered donut. NO MORE! This is a nude with a hint of pink, and it's a touch darker than my skin so it looks light but in a flattering way. It makes my lips look juicy. I top it with Piree gloss for extra shine. Extremely gorgeous.
NOTE: It's a bit thick and drying so be sure your lips are well moisturized. This works best if I apply it with fingers, so I wash my hands first.

Been on a balm kick this winter, and have been wanting a bit darker then nude for my NW20 skin tone. Have tested Chelsea Girls before and thought they were a bit expensive, but I gave in to have that Peachy/pink/milky color. Chelsea Girls has great pigment, non drying and just perfect almost plumping for me. Love!!!!!

I LOVE this lip colour ! I have tried SO many nude lip products from glosses to lip butters to stains and nothing has lasted and worked aswell as the NARS Chelsea Girl lip laquer ! I agree it is thick , but that makes it last longer and even when its gone it leaves a slight stain on my lips , which extends the life of the colour . It is expensive but completly worth it to me . It works with a dark , dramatic eye or with a really simple look . I LOVE THIS LIP COLOUR !

I'm an nw35 in the winter, and an nw 40 in the summer. This works very well with my skin tone, which has pinkish undertones. It's hard to describe this color, but it looks fleshy pink on me, and not orange. It's a pink nude on my lips and looks good with black eyeliner, or rich brown smoky eye shadow.
This lasts around 4 hours over top of subculture lip pencil by Mac. This is one of the longest lasting NARS lip products I've tried. It lasts a very long time, so the price isn't too bad considering it lasts.
The only con is that I have to carry around a travel lip applicator, because I reapply it after lunch. But, the reason it lasts so long is because it's such a thick formula that it has to come in a little jar. The NARS lip glosses don't last longer than drug store glosses, and neither do their lipsticks, other than the matte lip. This was going to be my last NARS lip product, but then, it works so I'm going to repurchase.

I just bought this a week ago, hearing all the good reviews on MUA. I'm ONLY wearing this since I got it. When I'm late or in a rush I grab this and scrub this all over my lips. Its such a pretty pinky-nude color. Perfect for everyday or with a dark smokey eye. Love to wear this on top of Mac's Angel Lipstick for everyday! ADORE THIS! My current lip obsession! WILL REPURCHASE!

I cannot stand the smell of this cult product. It does smell like hay and horse manure, and the smell is so intense there's no way I can wear it on my lips. The lip gloss is thick and creamy, and has a nude peachypink matte color. I bought it because it's been raved about as the perfect nude to smoky eyes. First of all lip products in a pot is very unhygenic, the lip lacquer is thick and sticky, the color is not flattering (I have medium light skin with cool accents) at all and the price is high. As much as I love NARS, this is a no-go for me!

I recently purchased NARS Chelsea Girls Lip Lacquer, and I love this color. Chelsea Girls is a perfect nude when you're doing a Smokey eye shadow look, or just a natural sheen on your lips. I love that NARS Lip Lacquers aren't sticky; I get the look of a gloss without that tackiness. I like wearing this color alone, but it also looks good paired with NARS Catfight lipstick. Unlike other reviewers I honestly didn't notice a strong smell. I've wanted to purchase NARS Lip Lacquers for a while; by the time I went to get Chastity and Vagabond, NARS discontinued them. NARS needs to bring those two colors back immediately. That said I really like this color and if you're are a darker skin tone like myself (NARS Macao, for reference.) don't turn away from at least trying on NARS Chelsea girls, particularly if you're looking for that perfect nude. Oh, and try it on top of Belle De Jour that's another good color combination.

I can't decide whether it smells more like rancid zinc sunscreen, or a mix of hay and horse manure. Either way, it's aromatic... for all the wrong reasons. CG is a muted pinky beige colour that would suit most people I suppose... but it needs constant reapplying, and the realisation that I am accidentally ingesting that foul smelling gloss is a bit stomach turning. Frankly, there is a plethora of better options to buy than CG. I'm going to use it until it's gone (because it was pricey) then NEVER repurchase.

Well, this was a disappointment. I was so happy when I got a hold of this on eBay, only to discover that it's is too thick on application and gives me J.Lo-lips. I never wanted J.Lo-lips! I wanted a creamy, natural-looking, shiny lip gloss with no shimmer, and all I got was this sticky, lousy stuff .. And yes, the smell IS really awful. I kind of didn't believe it when I read the other reviews, but it really does smell like old lipstick .. or maybe a rotten (dead) cat. Although, I really do like the packaging, I think it's elegant .. I really don't care about germs and stuff: it's my finger and my lips. (Will not repurchase.)

Very cute pot and nice colour. Bit too sticky for my liking and seems to wear off a bit but nice to use once in a while when I want a toned down lip.
*EDIT* This stinks!

I am a big NARS fan, and I was debating on getting the Dolce Vita lipstick over this Chelsea Girls laquer. Dolce Vita doesn't hold a candle to this in my opinion. Some of the other reviews say that it's too thick and it may smell weird, but I agree that it's on the thick side, but it doesn't smell bad to me. I love the sublte color and it's shine (which Dolce Vita didn't have). It's a lip color you'd use for everyday and for occasions when you want to look like you're trying - only not that hard. I love it and I'm definitely buying it again, but I think that it'd take me awhile to go through all of it even using it daily.

I like to accentuate my eyes nd cancel my lips. My lips are thin and have wrinkly lines that makes wearing nude lippie a challenge. I can't wear beige based nude as it makes me look like a corpse. So far I found only MAC Hue to be the best but it wears off so fast. As if I eat it. I also need to make sure I put a lip balm before . Not with Chelsea girls. I reach for it all the time. It doesn't settle in my lip lines the opposite - my lips always look instantly lucious and plum. I love to use tarte dollface or Adored blush with it. It lasts 2-3 hours on me and never balls just kind of gets absorbed leaving a nice subtle silver hue. Unlike MAC I don't have to fuss with this lip product. The only problem is portability, you have to carry the brush and the pot. If you want to pair it with a lipliner - Lancome Natural
Mauve is perfect and it has a brush on another side.

My new favorite lip product! This is the perfect nude lip color that I've been searching for. It cancels out the color of my lips and makes them a great brownish pink color that is perfect for everyday and to pair with any dramatic nighttime eye look. I also really love the texture of this- it's not to glossy or too dry, and it wears for several hours on me without leaving that weird ring around the lips you can sometimes get from some glosses. I actually love the pot packaging, and I don't think you could even get this out of a tube if it were in one. I find that I get the best application with a lip brush ( I have a great retractable one by Face Secrets, sold at Sally's). all in all, I really love this, and since it doesn't take a lot to cover the lips, I feel OK about the price b/c I've been wearing it everyday.

Oh, sweet Chelsea girls, where do I begin? Lord knows I have enough pink glosses. But this gloss is a vintage antique pink with a trendy modern edge. The texture of this gloss is thick enough to last a whole day in the frigid Alaskan snow. I notice that when I apply this gloss, it stays on a long time without having to reapply because it is sooooo thick. It only takes a tiny dab and the result is a minimalist nude pink lip that looks stunning. I would not wear this gloss with a neutral eye look because it would totally wash me out (I’m MAC NC20) but it is just gorgeous on with darker e/s. This is a classic HG pink gloss. UPDATE: I wear this over Rimmel's Airy Fairy and it looks amazing! Airy Fairy gives this gloss a little more depth and coverage.

I bought this on a whim because I saw many reviews on how gorgeous this color was on everyone. So I caved.
I'm so glad I did! It came in a little glass pot with a screw top. I pretty much loathe having to stick my fingers into this pot to get the color but it looks so good on that I don't mind as much. It gives my lips a fleshy, natural color which lasts all the day, hence the stickiness. Its good enough to wear everyday.
My only problems with this product besides the packaging is the smell and taste.
