This is an awful product. It made my nails peel, something which I have never experienced before! It didn't make my manicure last any longer than normal and additionally... it caused bubbles! I hate bubbles! It also was somewhat pricey. I really dislike this product, I do not think I will use it ever again. Even the cheap as chips BYS base coat works better.

This is my favorite base. It dries quickly and my nail polish definitely lasts longer when I use this base underneath.

Was an awful purchase for me. It has a vile smell uncommon for nail polish and it remains there for the remainder of the wear. I like Revlon's quick dry top coat, so I expected this to be similar, but it is terrible - my nails chip much faster when I use this base coat - in chunks. It is not cheap in the UK, around $11, so I'm disappointed with it.

Was looking for a normal base coat that didn't cost me an arm and a leg, I needed something to help prevent staining on my nail bed when I used dark colors.

It does seem to make my nail polish last longer before the first chip, but does not help with staining. Not sure if it's related but it also seems to cause bubbles after I apply my nail polish.

I've tried a few base coats - including OPI that was extremely expensive - and this one is absolutely the best.
It's simple: whenever I use it - my nail polish doesn't chip for 4-5 days. When I use a different base coat (nail and top coat are the same) - it starts chipping after 2 days.
Really great stuff, better than anything else I've tried.

Does what a base coat should: clings to the color I put on over it, and prevents staining. When it dries, it has a slightly tacky feeling to it, which I actually like--it's kind of reassuring that it is going to hang on to whatever polish I put over it. Also the price is right for this product. Would recommend.
EDIT: I still like it, but I've noticed that when I remove my nail polish, it leaves behind an odd film-like thing on my nails. Icky. I'm not sure I'd repurchase it now--maybe if nothing else was available.

I normally like Revlon products but this one is a fail. It takes a really long time to dry and then doesn't remove easily. I read the positive reviews here and tried to make it work by having it completely dry before painting color on. That helped with the drying issue but this stuff is still really hard to take off. It takes several more cotton balls than usual (full of standard polish remover) to get all of this off. Last night I removed my polish to give my nails a break for the day. I even placed a dot of remover on each nail to let it sink in a little longer. I wiped and wiped to get it off, and still this morning I saw traces of Yummy Mummy on three of my nails and they were sticky in some spots. It doesn't prevent SV from shrinking and my nails were slightly orange today. I miss my Wet 'n Wild matte base coat!

Picked this up on a whim, its a great basic top coat.

It goes on thin (which I like) and when dry, it is slightly tacky. I think this is supposed to make the polish "stick" to the nail better, but I'm not sure if this is true. I don't think it makes the polish last any longer, but it definitely protects the nail from staining with darker colors. And I think that's the only real benefit to using a base coat

I bought this when I was out of town and needed to snag a base coat in a hurry--I had left mine at home. Since then it has become my favorite base coat. As others have noted, it doesn't dry particularly quickly. On me it takes 2-3 minutes, but I don't mind because it's an excellent product. What I love most about this base coat is that my nails grow long and strong when I use it. I thought I was imagining this and then I left off using it--peelies and breakage again. *sad face* Resumed using it and now my nails are growing well again. Amazing, since this is not billed as a treatment. I know YMMV when it comes to polishes and bases, but this one is absolute HG for me. For the record I have used Seche Clear, various Barielle base coats, and many others, and they are okay, but this one knocks the socks off them.

I love love love love love this basecoat. It dries super quickly, it never bubbles, and it's affordable!

I love Revlon's nailpolishes, and this isn't an exception.

HORRIBLE! I will *never* use this basecoat again. It is by far the worst one I have ever used. "Quick-Dry" is an outright lie as it never seems to completely dry at all. It also bubbles every single time even though it hasn't been shaken and it's been applied to clean, dry nails. If you want any semblance of a decent manicure, steer clear of this product. Otherwise, you'll end up with rough and bubbly nails.

This is the only base coat I'll use! It never bubbles up like others do & my nails stay strong & healthy without any staining from polish. It's affordable & easy to find.

I use this in conjunction with Revlon's quick-dry top coat. I like the top coat a lot, but I'm not so sure about this base coat. It goes on milky and has a very thin, nearly cuticle-flooding consistency. Dries fast but not any faster than any other base coat I've used (Seche Clear was my go-to before I decided to give this one a whirl). So, I am suspicious (at best) of the "quick-dry" claim. Also, went to remove my polish last night--the polish and top coat came off fine but this base coat did not come off all the way. I had to go over my nails again (with acetone remover, no less) to get the sticky remnants of this base coat off my nails. I'll use the bottle I have, but I won't be repurchasing. There are too many other base coats out there at the same price that will (hopefully) perform better.

I was so sad when I used this base coat. I LOVE the quick dry top coat but this base coat is just bad. Really bad even. I've tried working with it but no matter what I will always get bubbles with this base. That and anytime I have used this base my nails peel off practically whole as if the polish just can't grip my nails. I've tried buffing and even letting the base dry for an hour before continuing my mani but this base is just hopeless.

The only reason I'm giving it a one is because if you use it with the AMAZING quick dry top coat it can possibly last a week but it eventually starts chipping or peeling a day or 2 after. This base does nothing for me.

But I'm still loyal to revlons quick dry top coat so that's a plus. Without the base coat my nails last for over a week.

This is the only base coat I use and it really makes my main last longer. Without it I get chips almost immediately.
My only complaints are you have to make sure it is fresh because you will get tinny bubbles, so if you don't use it up fast enough then you end up wasting it-but it still works better then anything I have found, so that issue will not prevent me from continuing to buy it!

I will say this--it contributed to a manicure that lasted 9 days free of chips or peeling. However, I got bubbles. Lots of them--no matter how thinly I tried to paint it or how long I allowed for it to dry. It also also did not promote easier/smoother polish application. I wasn't sure if it was my technique or the base coat to blame, but I picked up a bottle of China Glaze strong adhesion yesterday and this completely solved the problem and my nails look perfect now. So no, I won't be buying this again.

I've been using this base for about three years and I can vouch that it significantly prolongs manicures. After putting colored polish on, though, if you don't wait for each layer to dry (and I mean REALLY dry) then it'll never be dry. Ever. Also, older bottles tend to bubble the polish quite a bit so it's better to have a newer bottle. The polish goes on thick so its better to be stingy because if you use too much you're pretty much through. It's not a perfect base but it's better than any other kind I've tried and REALLY makes the polish last. As long as you have a new-ish bottle and you wait for each coat to dry you'll have a manicure people always compliment.

I didn't like this at all. I bought it to prevent staining & peeling, and it DOES work for staining, but not peeling. in fact I noticed my nails were peeling easier because of this base coat. The product also gets sticky easily and does not promote an easier surface to apply nail color. I'm definitely investing in a higher quality nail base. I wouldn't recommend this at all.

Great product! I have always had issues with nail polish peeling off in sheets the day or the day after I apply it, and manicures never last on me. I bought this at Ulta and am amazed. I just removed a manicure I had on for five days with no chips, only normal tip wear. I highly recommend this base coat if you have problems with polish chipping normally.

I purchased this product because I noticed my nails getting stained from nail polish. It goes on smooth and dries quickly, however I haven't noticed any improvement with the staining, after using it for 4 months. I'll be trying a different base coat next time.
