I'm a bit of a top coat junkie, I like to try out different brands so I doubt I'll repurchase this. It's ok and does the job, makes my nails shiny but takes a while to dry and gets thick in its bottle over time.

I am crazy about the Colorstay base coat. It's my Holy Grail. Since CVS was having a sale, I gave this a shot. Eh. Nothing special. It doesn't dry quickly, and it doesn't dry my polish, and it didn't make any difference in the endurance of my manicure. Will not repurchase.

Interesting reviews on this! I use Nicole by OPI drying drops whenever I paint my nails and I haven't noticed a difference in the drying time while using the colorstay top coat. No matter the top coat I use, I always wait about 15min after using the drying drops before I do anything with my nails.
Anyway...I really like this top coat and feel it does a good job of keeping the polish (whether colorstay or another brand) on my nails with minor tip wear. I feel like my nails look good for about 3/4 days before big chips start to appear, and for me that's great!

i know a lot of people complained about this top coat taking a long time to dry and though it's not a quick-dry top coat i found it dried pretty quickly for me. it leaves me nails looking really glossy and it makes the colour last a bit longer than other top coats

Simply put, I hate this top coat. I would rather go without a top coat than use this again.

Good news: If you're looking for a top coat that takes so long to dry that your nails have visibly grown out and need to be repainted once they are finally dry to the touch then this is the one for you!!

I usually use Seche Vite and absolutely love it except that it gets goopy before I can finish the bottle. I generally like Revlon nail products so I had high hopes for this top coat. Upon application it seemed okay - it has a nice bush and isn't too thick or watery but it took forever to dry. I waited an hour for them to totally dry before I went to bed. Fast forward to the next afternoon - my nails weren't very shiny, some had a couple smudge marks/indentations because after an hour they apparently still weren't dry, & they already had tip wear and a few had chipped!! I used it three times (with different brands of polish each time) and had the same awful results.

This top coat takes forever to dry. I've waited for 30 minutes to dry and go to bed. I wake up in the morning with markings all over my polish. NO BUENO :(

Definitely helps nail polish last longer when used with Colorstay base coat and Colorstay nail polishes.

AMAZING TOP COAT! like holy mother freakin cow, it's AMAZING! This stuff seriously dries in a minute or two and it makes your nails super shiny! People always think i have a gel manicure or fake nails because it's that shiny. It's comparable to the seche vite but it's 1. cheaper and 2. better brush/consistency 3. shinier and makes my nail polish last longer. Only con is that I have a very hard time finding it at the drugstore/target, it's always sold out!

Im kinda in love with this top coat but its not bad either. It does not dry as fast as my Revlon Quick Dry top coat(which literly dries with in minutes)I'd say with the colorstay top coat it takes about an hour and a half before I can go to bed safely and sleep and not wakeup to sheet dents with the colorstay top coat.Trust me..you have to wait for this one!I like the high gloss on my nails that this top coat gives me and my polish stays put about 5 days, with just minor fading at the tips of my nails. With my Revlon Quick Dry top coat, takes a half hour, and I know Im safe to go to bed.Im not disliking Revlon colorstay(its an excellent product)it just doesnt dry fast enough.I only do my nails at night, and if I have time(2 hours)before I go to sleep,I will use the colorstay top coat. Will I buy this again..you bet!I give this a 4.

This product has some major pros and cons for me. I've used Seche Vite for a while but was looking to try something new so I bought this instead with the base coat as well. I'll list my pros and cons (with lots of comparisons to seche vite).

Cons:
- This top coat takes FOREVER to dry. It doesn't claim to be fast drying, but I've gotten dings and dents even 1.5 hours after using it. With Seche Vite, I only need about 20 minutes for my nails to fully dry.
- Does not dry smoothly. I've noticed a lot of bubbles after using this top coat and my nails just don't look smooth and professional like they do with Seche Vite.

Pros:
- I found that this top coat and base coat do live up to the colorstay name definitely increase the wear of my nail polish. With Seche Vite I'd probably get about 3 days of chip-free wear. With this, I'll get 5+.
- I do really like the brush. It looks a little weird (like 2 little brushes attached side-by-side), but I like the wide shape it gives.

Another thing to note (not really a pro or con) is the price. I had my eye on this for a while and at drugstores it was $7.99, which seemed a little steep for a DS nail product. I only bought it when I happened to notice it was significantly cheaper at Walmart, I think it was between $4-5. Definitely look for it at Walmart if you want to try it.

In summary, I will not buy this product again. I paint my nails frequently (usually 3 times per week) so I don't really need my polish to last long and I'd rather use Seche Vite which gives better looking results and dries much faster. If you are somebody who doesn't paint your nails very often and your priority is finding a top-coat that will make your polish last, this might be a good option. It's not a horrible top coat, just not for me.

More people need to know about this top coat! I love it, I've been using it for just under a month and it's fabulous. It keeps my manicure lasting days longer than any other top coat I have ever tried (seche vite, OPI, sally hansen and other drugstore brands). My nails stay 100% chip free for at least 2-3 days, and virtually perfect for 5 days (just with minor chips). It dries fairly quick, not as quick as seche vite but it's good enough for me. It really makes my nails look glossy too. Considering it's a fraction of the price of the high end top coats (I payed around $6), you really can't go wrong here. Love it!!

I love this top coat. With this I am getting approximately 5-6 days out of my nail polish before I get a single chip. Actually so far I've had no chips just some wearing at the tops. If I'm going to be just a little picky, I will say that I don't love the strange brush, it's wide but it's like two little brushes joined together. I don't know, that was odd to me. I highly recommend this one!

My bottle says Colorstay Gold Top Coat so I hope I am reviewing the right product. I think this top coat is pretty good. It gives good shine and in my experience less shrinkage than Seche Vite. Of course it doesn't dry nearly as fast so layering could be a problem since it might take a long time.

I really like the consistency of this product. For me runny top coats work well since they easily cover without making layers that are too thick.

My main problem is that the brush only reaches to just below half of the product which is an absolute waste. I have a couple of these so I normally mix the remaining halves of each bottle and add some thinner - so I can use them up. I would not buy it again simply because they are too overpriced in South Africa 11USD (its the same price as Essie here, and just short of the price of OPI). But if I lived in America where I hear these are cheap - I think they are totally worth it!
