As someone that has had too many DIY hair experiments, bleaching and dying my hair, my hair is damaged, frizzy and extremely dry and I was thinking I might have to get most of it chopped off. After using this mask only once my hair has never been better! I have used the kerastase version before and while it helped my hair a little bit, it did not do quite as much as this one. My fading hair colour looks better, my hair is not frizzy and it is the silkiest and healthiest looking it has been for 8 years. Definitely get it if your hair is very dry and damaged.

I like this product a lot. It smells good and sometimes it is a good substitue for regular conditioner. I would not use it everyday because it can make your hair quite oily. It's a bit pricey but since I don't use it everday it lasts a long time.

It cost $50 a tub but it doesn't work what so ever!

I use this after using Moroccanoil shampoo - so this product may have a different effect on somebody that uses a different brand of shampoo.

My hair is actually shiny with this. I've dyed the bottom of my hair so many times (because the colour fades) and after I use this mask the bottom feels so silky. My hair is a lot less frizzy. It's easier to blowdry and straighten my hair after use.

You have to use it on towel dried hair or your hair won't absorb it as much as it designed to. You have to rinse it off thoroughly. You don't need too much around the scalp.
It is really thick so don't scoop up too much at one go.

I really wanted to like this product because I've had such good luck with the Moroccan Oil Treatment. Unfortunately, this was a bit disappointing in contrast, and I don't see myself buying it again.
My hair is what rather diplomatic hairdressers call "difficult" - incredibly thick, coarse, curly, generally unmanageable, and dry; it's also coloured and rather damaged from years of incessant bleaching. It responds well to the Moroccanoil treatment, but I do need to use about four products simultaneously to even begin containing its "poufiness".
In the tub, this feels nice and rich and creamy, but I often felt as though it was coating my hair rather than penetrating it. In the beginning, it seemed to be making my hair softer (and weighing it down, which is a good thing for my impossibly big hair), but after three or so months of using it, I haven't seen enough difference to consider repurchasing. It isn't terrible, but it's underwhelming, especially considering its price.
I also found the smell a bit overpowering in a way that I personally don't get from the treatment, whose fragrance is strong but quite pleasant. This has a kind of plasticky undertone which I sometimes (but not always) find a bit sickly.

Consider that my hair:
-has been dyed various colors in the past.
-has suffered a lot of process.
-is thin and dry.
This masks looks, smells and feels good enough to eat!It hydrating and soothing without leaving hair greasy. Most importantly, my hair looks freshly washed even after 2 days of actually using this product. Also, the packaging is cute, too. However, you have to give it 5-7' to sink in properly and some people may not have the time for that. That's why I like using it once a week.Didn't weight my thin hair down, love it :)

A must have for anyone with thick, wavy, over-processed hair, this is the Rolls Royce of hair masks. I leave it on from anywhere from a half hour to overnight just once or twice per month and always before coloring. Please try this if you have been mean to your hair. and are considering cutting it short before you do so. Your hair will thank you and reward you with glorious shine and softness, and the scent is to die for.

Well I been hearing about this product right and left, and I had been looking for a deep conditioner for my black, frizzy, dry hair because I was tired of being clueless to what the salon was using in my hair, calm my frizz, and help with my dryness. So I finally came across this product in my local beauty supply store and thought why not ? Well, I went to the salon and ask them to use this in my hair (plus the shampoo & conditioner from this same line), and I was surpised. She put about a quarter size about in my hair and had me under the dryer for 15 mins, washed it out and roller set my hair. When she took me out the dryer and took the rollers out, I thought my hair was still wet ! My hair has never looked so healthy like this for about a year. It doesnt way my hair down, not oily or anything like that, the shine was beauiful, and the scent is amazing. The price is not so amazing I'll say, but doesn't your hair deserve to be spoiled time to time ? After I'm done with this product, it is a must for me to go out and get more of this stuff !

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product! Smells great, and it makes my hair so healthy and soft! It's ridiculously expensive, but I'll repurchase because it works, and you don't have to use a lot. What I do is when I'm in the shower, I shampoo, then apply this. I don't use it after conditioner as I find that it doesn't work as well. I leave it in for 5-10 minutes 2x a week and my hair looks and smells great. I don't even use conditioner after because my hair doesn't need it, and my hair ALWAYS needs conditioner. Overall, it's pretty close to HG status, I just wish I could find something that works as well that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
Also to those that say that they don't like the container, almost all professional deep conditioners come in tubs like this. If you don't like it, put it into another empty container. Problem solved.

I have fine, long, color-treated hair. I went to my salon for a haircut and asked for a conditioning treatment. After a shampoo, they set my hair in this, followed by plastic wrap, and put me under the heat bonnet (?) for 15 mins. My hair felt DIVINE for days later. I have since purchased it on my own and while results are NICE, I'm not sure that the product is worth the $40 I spent even though I follow the same steps (minus the heat bonnet, I use a shower cap). I've had similar results with a $10 tub of Neutrogena Triple Moisture Mask.

Pros:
Smells sooo good.
A little goes a long way, I only use a couple of tablespoons

Cons:
Not crazy about the tub, un-hygienic
Not very moisturizing

My hair was extensively damaged through years of bleaching and hair colouring from black to blonde. My hair is naturally thick and with lots of split ends etc. I use to be hesistant in trying new hair products as I believe that you cant trust those hairhouse warehouse representatives etc from recommending me redken heavy creme treatment to de lorenzo, to even natural organic treatments. None completely worked, my hair was probably 10% improved but saw no long term benefit.

I tried this Morrocon Oil hair masque and after two washes, my hair had improved by 50%, it looked much healthier and softer. It didnt make my hair greasy as my hair was thick and quite damaged. Its one of the best products ive tried. Ive also tried Kerastase hair treatments and they were also amazing.

Unfortunately the pricing on both these products are quite expensive, but totally worth repurchasing.

I feel kinda bad for giving this product such a bad rating. I wanted it so much, and it turns out that it is for thick, coarse hair - and mine is really fine, light and thin. I have to review this product from my own point of view and it makes my hair super greasy. I bet it's a HG for people with thick hair, but I've learned my lesson - Moroccan Oil is not for my hair, sadly enough.

I believe this stuff is a gimmick. They add a bit of some rare and exotic extract from a nut grown on a tree in the desert that goats climb and give people the impression that it has some long term benefit for your hair. I would suggest that it is probably the linseed oil and silicone in this product that is actually making peoples hair temporarily soft, because it DOES make your hair feel softer. I would also suggest that the overpowering sweet musky fragrance that some posters are extolling is not the aroma of argan oil (which in it`s pure state smells vaguely nutty and very similar to sesame seed oil), but rather the loads of strong synthetic parfum that has been added to this concoction which is somewhere in the middle of the ingredient list. If you are at all sensitive to synthetic fragrance, this stuff will make you nauseated until you thoroughly wash it out of your hair with 2 washings. Your house will smell like a perfume factory until you open your windows for a few hours, too. (My husband will vouch for that)
I used it twice, following the directions on the container, and unfortunately it did nothing more than your basic 5 dollar drugstore conditioner containing dimethicone would do if you left it in for 10 min or so. In fact if you have thin hair that is prone to frizz, you'll likely end up with thin soft greasy hair with frizz( I didn`t know that was even possible, but apparently it is)
My advice- go for it, if you like to try all the latest hair curatives and don`t mind wasting your money. But better yet, extra virgin coconut oil/ paste in a jar that can be obtained at your local health food store actually does work to restore shine, softness and reduce frizz for about 1/4 the price, and the smell won`t offend your olfactories.

This hair mask is amazing! I had been wanting to try this mask as I have become a loyal moroccanoil shampoo, conditioner, styling cream, and oil user. I have to admit, I am a little peeved that the price went up on the mask, however, I wanted to make sure it was genuine so I got mine at Regis for $41 instead of off the internet. That being said, this is probably one of the highest quality hair masks I have ever tried and I can truly say I WILL repurchase this whenever I finish this huge tub! I have been using this once a week and it has made a real difference in my dryer ends. By using the moisture repair shampoo and conditioner and the treatment my dry ends did get alot more nourished and softer, but by then also using this mask weekly it has improved even more. I'm currently trying to grow my hair longer and so I have been getting frequent trims due to split ends I get from straightening, but I feel like since I've been using moroccanoil there has been a huge difference. I would highly recommend this product, it is pricy but it really works.

I love this conditioning mask. I really think the trick is leaving it in for a long time, and using it for a few months before coming to any conclusions.

My hair is heavily bleached and was breaking off all over the place. When I first started using the mask I didn't see much difference at all, however now after 3 months of using this product once a week and leaving it in for around 4-5 hours a day my hair is supper shinny, smooth and there is very little breakage. I also use Moroccanoil leave in oil every day after washing my hair, which I definitely think makes a difference and works well with the mask.

The smell is really strong but I love it.

I get good results with this product. I like the scent and the texture, and I especially like leaving it on for a couple of hours or even overnight. I'll put it on when I go to the beach to protect my hair from sun and salt.

A salon in my area does a special Moroccanoil treatment where they wash your hair with the shampoo and put this mask on -- wrap your head in plastic and put you under the dryer for 20 minutes. They rinse it off, add the treatment oil and style/dry. Fantastic!

But because it's expensive and I get the same results (if not better) with the much-less expensive One N' Only Argan Oil Repair Conditioner that you can get at Sally's, I probably won't repurchase.

I have coarse wavy frizzy thick hair. Color takes 1/3 longer since it is so resistant. I break out from most leave in conditioners. Blow outs are exhausting to do myself. I would love a product that tamed the frizz and let me air dry.

So this tub was a hopeful try. I left it in for an hour, rinsed, and twisted my towel dried hair into a bun. After a couple of hours, my hair was definitely soft but still frizzy on the ends. I do not care for the tub either. This product is not for me. Very expensive also.

I've been trying with this mask once a week for 3 weeks now and I can't say I love it, but I can't say I hate it either. Like all the other MoroccanOil products I'm addicted to the smell. yumm. However unlike the great love I have for everything else in this line ... this seems to fall short. I don't find it to be hydrating at all or to soften smooth or detangle my hair any better than a regular condition. In fact the MoroccanOil Condition actually works 10x better and makes my hair feel so much softer than the mask. Perhaps I haven't been using enough product, and I will keep working at it to see if I can get it right. Will update if I make a breakthrough, but as of now I'll use till the jar is gone but wont repurchase.

I received this product for free during a beauty event. I've used it up but I'm not sure if it really made any difference in my hair. I applied it after a standard rinse conditioner in the shower & let it sit on my hair for a about 5min each time. It immediately made it softer and more manageable but after I rinsed it out, I don't think the results were long lasting. I have thick, coarse, curly hair and I wouldn't buy this for lack of results. Maybe it would've worked better had I sit under the dryer with it for a bit, however the directions state to use it for 5min for best results. Didn't really work.
