I am obsessed with lip gloss, and this $1 hypershine gloss from ELF is one of my favorites. Fairy is the one that I currently own, and it is my favorite of what I have tried from the line. The shade is a pearly pale pink that is a universal color. I can put this over any lipstick, in the center of the lip as a highlight, or wear it by itself and I will love the appearance no matter how it's worn. The packaging is a love it or hate it thing, I for one love it. The twist up is so convenient, especially for school and travel and a mirror is not needed to apply. Some people do not like the small amount of product that it comes with, but I think that it's perfect.

Love for my lips! This is very light sheer pink, almost clear. But, it's iridescent in a non-shimmery way. I don't know what it is about the reflective property of this, but it lights my face up!
If you want to see something really pretty, try using a darker stain or lipstick and then this on top! Or, just use a little lip concealer or tiny bit of regular concealer or foundation and this over it for a cute, clean day look.
There isn't much product in this. It's super cheap, but their squeeze tube glosses are the same price with several times more product in them so I wish they'd up the size of this a little or offer it in the other packaging.

I know this gloss is only $1 and didn't expect the best, but it was so STICKY! I couldn't even handle it on my lips for 5 minutes! Seriously one of the worst textures I've ever put on my lips. The color was great though. So was the packaging and price. But I rather spend an extra 5 bucks for a way better drug store gloss.

This is a no brainer to put on. You don't need a mirror because you can't overdo the application. The result leaves you with an understated yet most definitely there, glowy, slightly shimmery wash of pale pink. Sometimes I feel my other lipssticks and glosses look OTT. With 'Fairy', I'm confident the look is never overdone, and more importantly, never UNDERDONE !!.

This is a really nice lip gloss, not the greatest in the world, but for a dollar, this quality can't be beat. It's a sticky gloss, but not so bad that my hair gets stuck in it. The taste and a smell are a bit odd, like an artificial sweetener, but unoffensive.
It's not super shiny, but it does give your lips a nice, slightly pink shimmer. It's also very moisturizing.
EDIT: After seeing this gloss on me in a few photos, and can say it does live up to the name "Hypershine".

This is beautiful color and a great gloss, but the packaging is terrible. I don't like the brush applicator and b/c you twist it to get color vs. squeezing it, it's difficult to control the amount of product you get for application. Won't repurchase solely based on packaging.

The color is a charming iridescent pastel pink with a little shimmer, sweet and delicate. And the gloss feels good, not too sticky. I confess i kept turning the back end like the packaging said but didn't see any gloss in the brush... however it was there when i finally decided to brush it on my lips.
But the smell! I don't know what that excess of perfume is supposed to smell like but it repulsed me utterly. I like the color, but hate hate hate the perfume. It will definitely keep me from buying it again...maybe from even using it. It was only $1, so not a huge loss, but...

If oyster girl had a quieter, less obvious sister, fairy might be her. While fairy lacks the opacity of oyster girl, it brings the same irridescent lavender/pinky/opalescent glow to the lips as oyster girl, and for 1/14th of the cost (!!!). I'm an eye makeup girl, so pale lips are a must for me, and since I always lose lipgloss, the $1 pricetag is unbeatable. It also feels nice and moisturizing on the lips--mineral oil is either first or second on the ingredient list. I wear this alone, but imagine it'd look lovely layered over a bright lippie too, if you're into that sort of thing.

I wasn't like "wow" whenever I first used it but I didn't have a bad reaction either. I'm kind of neutral. I keep it in my purse for whenever I need something on my lips but I don't wear it everyday. I was eating with my friends and whenever I applied it after I was finished with my meal, one of my friends made a comment on how it looked like old school lip gloss. It does look like lip gloss that I bought when I was younger because it clicks when you try to get more product out haha. I think it lasts for a reasonable amount of time especially since it was only $1. I will probably buy more to keep in my car and my other bags since it was so cheap.

I have an obsession with trying lip glosses because of their applicators - I love the brushes and plastic applicators as opposed to the average felt ones. I found the colour was slightly different to the colour shown but I still love it. On the side it says something about twisting it 7-10 times before your first use so the product will come out... it took me at least 50 twists before the product came out (I actually just sat down for a few minutes and twisted it like there was no tomorrow). It is not sticky, and has a really pretty shine which is a plus. I love the packaging - it looks like a 2-step lip gloss when it's really not that complicated. I can't think of a downside to this product... yet.

I love love LOVE this lipgloss! The color shown on the website does it no justice. I know some people complain about the lack of pigmentation, but for me, I like that. On a daily basis, I like my lips to looks pretty and moisturized, not too made up. I adore the opalescent sheen. It reflects light and makes my lips glow without being shimmery or super shiny. It makes my lips look and feel moisturized and smooth. I like the slightly thick texture. Not too sticky, but not so thin it slides right off. I think this gloss is the perfect touch over nude lips for a nice sheen. I also wear it on a daily basis on my bare lips. The only thing I would complain about is the small amount of product in the tube, but for $1, buying multiple tubes is not an issue.

I cannot believe how beautiful this gloss is, similar to my fav MAC gloss in Nymphette, except it's more milky pink with less gold shimmer. It is packaged in a pen similar to Stila's lip pens except it is much smaller with a lot less product. But for the price, who's complaining? I have been reaching for this gloss all the time lately and just love it!! I wear it over L'Oreal's Color Riche lipstick in Fairest Nude lined or MAC's Spice lip liner or over MAC's Hug Me with Rimmel's Tiramisu lip liner. The Tiramisu liner is very similar to Spice and much less espensive. This gloss is one of the most gorgeous glosses I have ever seen and I cannot believe it only cost $1.00!!! I love this line! See my reviews for ELF's eye liners because they are just as gorgeous as some of my high end liners for only $3 each!!

I already wrote a review for all of the glosses on the appropriate page (gave 'em a 4 out of 5), but I figured I'd review this color separately.
This color is without a doubt my favorite out of them all. It has a touch of a peachy glow to it, so it doesn't make my lips look dead pale. The base of the color is neutral, so it's perfect for anyone looking for a great lip color to pair with smokey shadows. Even of it's own, it's beautiful.

This lipgloss glides onto your lips so easily and the colour is perfect for my skintone or anyone else who is fair to medium! The colour is amazing and is so sheer and is definitely a fairy colour :-) There is a little bit of shimmer in it which consists of pink/silver/gold but you have to look really closely to notice it.
Normally lipglosses enhance the lines on my lips for some reason but this one actually makes them less noticeable which is also a bonus
I bought mine from Elf's UK based website and I ordered it on Tuesday and received it today - so quick!
Although there are a lot of pros to this lipgloss, the only con for me is that it isn't extremely shiny as it states in the name. But I think I can live with that - excellent product for just £1.50!

I don't know if anyone else said this already but if I was a fairy I would have lips like this shade:) It's so perfect in every possible way. I have hundreds of other glosses, mostly by high end brands but this tops them all. None of the other glosses in similar shades made my lips look like this does. They look so full, healthy and perfectly shiny, not glittery at all. The shade is so innocent yet so sexy. It gives a great pearlescent effect. I can't believe I'm saying this but this is my favorite lipgloss at the moment! The scent and packaging do not bother me at all. I think clicky pen type of packaging goes great with the texture of this gloss. And the scent and taste are not unbearable like Super Glossy Lip glosses. I will get more shades from this line and definitely repurchase Fairy in the future.

Just got this few hours ago as my shipment arrived this afternoon. I love the colour. Very natural and pinkish, making my lips look very kissable ;p
it took me about 5 'clicks' to get it out. But i took a lippie out for the scent and the applicator. Somehow after a few stroke, the 'brush' all stuck together to form like a narrow eyeliner brush making it harder to finish applying on my lips. But other than that, everything is well. I would definitely repurchase this!

Opalescent pinkish sheen, reminds me VERY much of Lancome Fruity Pop JT without the glitter. it's in the Oyster Girl (but not as lavenderish/grey) Chanel Naturel (euro glossimer) iridescent-opalescent family to give you an idea. Really pretty. pleasantly surprised.
The texture is kind of like...have you ever had a tube of Aquaphor that was left in the heat & separated, so that when you squeezed it a thick melty liquid came out first before the more solidly petroleumy goop? Considering that Aquaphor is petroleum + mineral oil - and Hypershine gloss's first ingredient is mineral oil - it makes perfect sense. so yeah, it's very emollient, slippery, and doesn't last long. for a dollar it's worth it.
someone earlier described the packaging as 'cheap and cheerful' and that's the best I've heard. it's not garish like other cheap brands which is nice. minimalist.

What a great lip gloss!! This looked milky pink in the store, when I got it home, it almost has an iridescent pink/peachy look to it. On me, it comes off slightly more peachy, which I love!! It has such a beautiful sheen to it. Will bring life to any lipsticks you may have and looks faboosh on its own! The scent I still can't put my finger on, not sure what it smells like but I know its def not one of may fav's so I knocked a lippie off for that. :) I can def overlook that because the color is so nice and the smell wears off quickly. Overall, a great color that I will continue to buy!
