Dare I use the initials HG?! I love this. I grabbed at CVS during a recent trip home to the states (I live in wet cold Glasgow) after being enticed by the ingredients and the unfussy packaging. I'm a sucker for old school toiletries. Well. I'm impressed and I can see myself getting my mum to send me over care packages of this lotion. It's light, absorbs easily and quickly and doesn't cause rosacea, perioral dermatitis or the fun bumps under my skin that other moisturisers seem to result in. My skin is looking better than it has in ages. I'm using with Cetaphil and Paula's Choice AHA 8% lotion for reference. Nice one Vanicream.

I had to write a review about this moisturizer. I was very skeptical when buying this. I hadn't hear much about it, the bottle was ugly, and I was terrified it would break me out. I've been dealing with some bad acne as a result of medication, and I needed a moisturizer because my skin was flaking. This moisturizers without making me greasy, works great under foundation, and best of all it fades my acne scars! I couldn't believe it. Definitely recommend to acne sufferers

Background: This year I've been trying a lot of moisturizers. I used to use the Acne.org moisturizer because the acne.org BP treatment tried my skin way out. That wasn't enough, so I switched to pure jojoba oil (Desert Essence from Trader Joe's). That was fine for years until the BP from acne.org stopped working. This past year I also tried Face Reality Hydrating Emulsion which I liked, but it was a bit expensive. My derm actually gave me a sample of this and I really like it. It's light, and it sinks into my skin within minutes (I use this in the morning and I'm ready to apply foundation within a few minutes). There is no scent to it and ingredients are minimal, which I like: purified water, white petrolatum, propylene glycol, cetearyl alcohol, sorbitol solution, ceteareth-20, simethicone, glyceryl monostearate, polyethylene glycol monostearate, sorbic acid, BHT.
On the days where I'm super flaky, I use EltaMD Moisturizer Moisturizer (see my review on that) paired with Vanicream Lite. This is a perfect combo for me on the days where I need extra moisturizer. Bonus: you can also use it on your dry hands/skin if you don't have lotion around!
I got this at Walgreen's. It wasn't dirt cheap, but you get a big bottle with it and I only need a nickel's worth of it per application.

I really wanted to like this product. I bought this one and the Vanicream original at the same time. I thought it would be great for my dry, sensitive eczema prone skin. But I don't like it. It doesn't sink in...ever. I can feel it in the shower the next day. This might be a great barrier cream, but I don't feel like it does anything for the skin underneath. My skin was just as dry when I washed this stuff off. It might be better mixed with oils. It did not however bother my eczema. The lite lotion in my opinion was better than the original, but I will not repurchase either.

Hate to be the one bringing the rating of this prod down, but it didn't really help me with my winter dry/flaky skin. Perhaps the cream would work on me better. There's a slight medicine smell to this lotion, but it doesn't linger. I like the pump bottle design. I don't think I'll be buying this again when i run out, for the price ($13/bottle) i think that's a bit expensive for something that doesn't work well on me.

This lotion works and hydrates my skin really well, even just using a dime sized amount. Just don't use too much! The price is a little much but i love it! You can use this on the rest of your body too.

I love this stuff. All chemical free and non-comodegenic. A dermatologist I went to YEARS ago recommended this moisturizer, but I could only find it on the internet. I was really excited to see this at Walgreens the other day. I was using Cera-Ve which is a nice moisturizer, but still has parabens and capric acid, which tends to break me out. The only thing I don't like is that it is a little too greasy for a facial moisturizer for me, so I use it as an all over body cream.

I was very surprised not to find Vanicream on MUA! i thought for sure someone else would have used it. I am really liking it, this is the lite lotion formula which has no fragrence, parabens or unusually bad stuff.. It sinks in very nicely to my skin without feeling greasy. I have started using it at night under my Tazorac cream. This has worked out well and I'm not broken out or peel-y in the morn. I bought this because i wanted a good all around cream that I could use anywhere. I am not a big body lotion person because i hate that greasy feeling after you put on your clothes.. But this doesn't seem to have that. I bought it for about 8 bucks and I think I would buy again even though I'm not even close to being done.. all in all a good lotion at a good price.
