I've used both the normal/combo skin and the dry skin versions, and the very dry skin formula is still waiting on the shelf. I have only tried a few times, so cannot comment much on that yet.
Both the normal / combo and dry skin versions have very silky texture indeed, and they are a joy to spread on the skin. The first time I owned this was actually back in the 2002 when this was new on the market... My skin was more normal / combo then than it's now (I was living in a hot climate), and this was an excellent moisturizer. Sufficiently moisturizing, and caused no problems with make up.

In the recent years I went thru a very dry period, my skin went crazy with atopic ezxema and was extremeley difficult to appease... I tried this again last fall and surprisingly, it did NOT irritate my face, but seemed to calm it down! I have noticed the peeling effect with make up that so many have mentioned, but with mineral make up it's not an issue - with liquid foundation this is not the best option.

I will not buy this again as it's discontinued anyway, but it was a decent moisturizer. Lancome has come up with worse products than this!

I am using a sample of this and was quite impressed. It has a thick, silky texture which is perfect for wintertime, since my skin gets parched from the indoor heating. I suspected this might contain dimethicone because it made my skin so smooth(and it does, as well as mineral oil - see review below) so that was a bit of a disappointment. Also, this doesn't contain SPF and is pretty strong smelling.

Oh God what a horrible product. It is very greasy and smelly. I could not stand the smell and I had to hold my breath to apply it.( it smelt like crude oil or car grease). After I couple of times I threw it away . Big mistake Wrote to Lancome via email and they answered me that it could have been issued defective.I never had any luck with their products.

I used this moisturizer for almost a year, one pump seems to be enough, since it glides nicely. I liked it because it's very light weight, doesn't feel heavy or greasy, it's smells pleasantly and it felt like a good moisturizer in general.
My only CON, it has no SPF.

i've been using impactive ever since i got a sample as a part of a gift package... i've never been a moisturizer fan, hated the oily and heavy feeling on face but with this i never feel either of these... the normal to combination skin formulation really suits my skin type and the moisturizer eases the application of my concealer to otherwise very dry undereyes... definately a beauty must for me...

However, my mum who is 58 and has a drier skin than mine, tested it and found it not enough mousturizing... she said she felt her skin tightening... another downside could be the pump... even though it eases the usage at the begining, towards the end of the product it never pumps out...

I have the fluid version for combination skin, and I really like it. It moisturizes my skin perfectly, and makes it feel really soft to touch. Swapping over to Lancome has actually improved my skin, but it might have been that I was just going through a bad-skin-period too?? Now it is getting towards winter though, and my skin is getting drier, so I need to find something more moisturizing.. The major drawback with this one is that it doesnt have an SPF. :-(

I have the lotion version for combination/oily skin and I love it. Perfect amount of moisture, not at all heavy, leaves my skin fresh-looking and feeling. Only complaint is the lack of SPF which means I really can't use it as my daytime moisturiser because applying additional sunscreen would make my face have a temper-tantrum

product claimed it would make my skin even toned and fade away pores/imperfections/fine lines. it did nothing. i've officially had it with lancome skincare, they've tricked me out of money for the last time.

Not impressed at all. As a matter of fact, I don't like this moisturizer much. I have dry skin and it's the normal to dry skin version I tried. It does the simple moisurizing job fine but nothing to rave about. It's a light to medium cream in the jar but doesn't sink in well and sits on the skin like some super thick cream. I have silky smooth skin to start with and don't notice the instant silkening effect it claims to have. For night it's okay, but in the morning when I use it as a base, I find that my tinted sunscreen slips around on top of this moisturizer and doesn't seem to blend in as nicely and stay in place. I used to be a fan of Lancome skincare but after all the disappointments I think I'm done with it.

I've had this cream for a while and i'm almost done with it. I really liked it at first and still do kinda but one main problem is it has separated.. I went on a trip and i guess the change in pressure and weather made the cream chemicals separate. I've stirred it back together since.

last word: for the price ($40 usd) I'm not so tremendously impressed that I'd buy it again.

I tried this in a generous sample size and this review is for the lotion type. I really wanted to like it because I read on the Lancome website that it claims to re-texturize skin and to make it silky and I definitely needed something like this to smooth out my patchy skin. Turns out it did NOTHING. I have problematic skin -- it's very dry AND oily at the same time, very sensitive and acne-prone. The moisturizer really did not help get rid of the dry flakes on my skin, the consistency was too runny and wet. It actually reminds me of Lancome's Body Delisse's texture...they both had the same liquidy feeling but impactive did not have the shimmers. Since it really didn't do much for me, I gave it to my cousin. Maybe i'll buy the cream version after I finish my Aquafusion cream (see my review), but never the lotion.

Use this for super silky skin! It contains Lycopene (sp?) found in tomates, I believe. Anyhow, it has a light fragrance, but is a little pricey ($50 CDN) I have dry/normal skin, if you have dry, try the cream form, lotion if you have normal/combo skin.

This moisturizer used to work wonders on my skin. After one year it stopped. The first thing I noticed were dark spots on my skin maybe due to sun rays effect then I even started getting dry patches and fine lines when i have oily skin! I have switched now but regret having a new bottle in stock. I will use it when I go out at night (which is very occasional) because the instant effect of closing pores and silkening effects are fantastic (but stop working at some point)but the downside is that it doesn΄t have an SPF for using at day at least I expend on a sunblock besides.

I used two GWP-sized tubes of this moisturizer--and LOVED it. Since it doesn't have SPF and since I have incredibly oily skin, I mainly used this during the winter when my skin was more combo, and/or at nighttime after cleansing. Every morning, to wake up to a glowing, moisturized, smooth, poreless perfection was just wonderful. I didn't buy the full size b/c it was too expensive for me as a student, but used the small tubes sparingly (which suprisingly lasted a really long time). It's probably one of the best moisturizers out there to get smooth, hydrated, radiant skin. Highly recommend to anyone!

I have the GWP tube of this. While the fragrance in this (as with any fragranced product) can trigger skin reactions in those with skin problems, it's worked well for me. It imparts a silky texture and a matte surface for me. I had no problems with applying makeup afterwards, it seemed to absorb well enough for me. It's moisturizing but not super hydrating, I still get dry patches during winter. Too expensive for me to purchase though, but I'll keep using it if the GWPs keep including it.

all this lotion does is make you think it is doing something...it isn't. when i put this lotion on my face, i can't put on make up because when i apply foundation, the lotion would start to roll up like dead skin...overall, this lotion SUCKED.

This is an OK moisturizer. It is oil-free (no breakout) and gives me a silky finish, but that's about it.
