I love this pencil but can no longer find it anywhere. This is the perfect shade of deep plum purple for me, with the tiniest bit of shimmer. I love it.

Does anyone know if Rimmel Spark It Up! Ultraviolet has been discontinued? I can't find it in Target, Walgreens or Wal-Mart. They don't seem to have the black-gold pencil either. All that's listed is Lapis, Peridot and Tiger's Eye. If it's been discontinued then I need to find another pencil that's close to the same shimmery, metallic color. Does anyone have any recommendations? If not, I'm gonna have to find an eyeshadow that does the same job.
I wouldn't say Ultraviolet is a pure purple. It's more like a shimmery, metallic plum or eggplant. Sometimes it even looks kind of maroonish to me, but I think that's more the colors in the packaging that trick me... Maybe it just depends on the light. I don't know where people are getting brown from, though. Either way, Ultraviolet contrasts perfectly with my hazel eyes. It's like the colors belong together.
I'm fair skinned and Ultraviolet is my 'go to' color when I don't want a neutral look or when I don't want a lot of contrast like with black eyeliner. Peridot is actually my favorite of the colors but it doesn't go as well with my eye color. Tiger's Eye is great for a more neutral look and is my other 'go to' color. After wearing these eyeliners it just seems as though pure color eyeliners are boring.
As far as wear goes, I agree with everyone else that the staying power seems to be lacking. It is a slightly softer pencil than others, especially above room temperature. Wearing powder underneath definitely seems to help as would an eye primer I'm sure. I usually pop the pencil into my purse when I'm done with it before I go out, though I rarely have to reapply. I'm sure if I applied it in the morning and was out all day, especially if it was hot and humid, then I would have to reapply if I were going out at night. But usually I'm at home in the evening and don't need to bother. I'm sure that dusting it lightly with powder after applying a good heavy line would help keep it from fading or rubbing off.

I love this eyeliner! It is really easy to apply - it goes on really smoothly, which is something I appreciate in eyeliners. I had no problem sharpening it.
I love the colour of it as well. It is a shimmery deep plum colour that looks great with brown eyes. I usually wear it at night but it is definitely not too much for daytime if you work/live in a casual environment. I find that if you don't wear it over eyeshadow it tends to kind of fade/smudge, so I usually apply eyeshadow before applying this eyeliner.
My only complaint is that the lid of the pencil has cracked, but I think this is my fault for shoving it in forcefully. It still fits on fine, so it isn't a big deal.

The Spark it up line of eyeliners are very soft, come in gorgeous dark metallic colours, and are easily removable. In my case, the "easily removable" part is probably a plus, though I have to reline throughout the day. Ultraviolet is a metallic gray-purple. It's nice, but not my favourite purple liner, since it has a cooler tinge and is not very purple anyways.
Unfortunately, these liners are difficult to sharpen.

Very pretty, plum, shimmery liner. This doesn't come off too purple or too violet on me, which is a good thing, since I prefer plums to violet. The lasting power is about 4 to 5 hours, and then you will need a touch-up. I don't use liner on my waterline, so I can't comment on the staying power. This is a gorgeous liner for brown eyes and will really make them POP. I like to wear this with my taupe shades for just the right amount of color, so that I don't look too brown and boring.
This pencil was a clearance item at the drugstore, so for $2.00 I wasn't expecting too much. I own three other "Spark it Up" shades and Black Gold is my favorite. I am going to try and find Tiger Eye based on the reviews. It sounds like a color I need. I will buy this shade again...

Wow, I absolutely adore this color. It brings out my eyes because it's this rich shimmer eggplant color on my skin. I only use it to line the outer corners of my eye and it gives me that ''pop''. I also have this in peridot which i will review after this. I also like that it's not a garish purple at all, it's really pretty!

I was expecting this liner to be more saturated than it turns out to be. The color payoff is not great and ends up looking like some dark taupe color with a shimmery purple. If you are looking for densely bring and saturated this is not it. Also it doesn't stay on well. Personally it doesn't do much for me.

Thanks to a BOGO at Walgreens and Make Up Alley reviews, i bought two of these eyeliners yesterday. I chose this one and black gold (which i will review separately after a full day of wear). This is not violet, this is a very subtle black/deep purple, with a hint of shimmer but nothing glittery or overly shimmery. unfortunately, this does not have staying power on me... less than four hours on my lower lash line and it is smudged a lot and needs to be touched up. Too bad, because it is nice and soft (which may be the reason it runs so easily). Not a great eye liner, not a terrible hard one, i'll keep it and i'll use it, but it wont be my ultimate favorite one of all time!

This is a dark brown with maroon and dark purple shimmer. The packaging will mislead you to think it's a bright purple, but it's really not.
I bought this today (buy get 1 at Walgreens) and used it over Urban Decay's primer and so far it's sticking to my eyes nicely. You need some sort of primer to wear under this. A light layer of transluscent powder also works.
I ended up buying 4 of these at Walgreens (buy 1 get 1), and instead of getting the green or blue ones, I bought this one twice. A subtle purple eyeliner is hard to find.

This looks more brown than violet IMO, but it's nicely dark and somewhat shimmery. However, it has no lasting power whatsoever. It goes on smoothly because it's soft, and it's so soft that it can't last.
