This came in a kit, and to be honest, I'm not a big fan of it. It's way too hard for me to use for smudging, since I don't like throwing away things that I can still use, I use this to put colors on the inner eye/tear duct area. I've also used this for making dots on my eyes/face for halloween.

I like this brush for smudging cream liners under the eyes. Good control.

If I could give this a zero, I would. It's nothing more than a hard sponge! I tried it a couple of times, and it hurt when I used it to smudge my eyeliner. I threw this in the trash, and I have never bought another...

I picked this up at the grocery store for $1.00. It works very well to blend or smudge my eyeliner, quickly & easily. It seems well made & does the job. I have no complaints whatsoever. The price is right - you can't get much for a buck these days!

This is a great brush for smudging eye liner and applying color to the inner corners. I find it easy to clean, but the sponge does move when I wiggle it too much.
The a´packaging is kind of cheap-looking, any white brush is in my opinion, but it does the job and I haven't ever seen another brush like this. It works way better than q-tips.
Worth the money.

This works just fine, but the studio version is far better.

For it's price, i really can't complain. This brush helps to blend my eye makeup beautifully. It's a pity that the sponge comes off easily.

I love this smudge brush. I have used it for over a year and have only had one issue with it. The sponge came out of the holder a little bit, I just pushed it back in and have not had any problems since. I use it every time I wear eyeliner and it works wonderfully! I would definitely buy again!

Used it once. When I went to clean it, it fell apart in pieces.
Went in the wastebasket, will not be buying another one. Yes, it was cheap, but not such a bargain when you get only one use out of it. Meh.

I have never tried a smudgy eye before so I thought this $1 brush would be a good way to "test the waters." Well, although in general the quality of ELF brushes is surprisingly high, I was sadly disappointed in this one.

At first I thought it was just me not knowing how to use the brush properly, but I have now tried it with gel eyeliner, eye pencil and eye crayon and it really doesn't work with any of them. I've had the best results using powder shadow and smudging it on, but even that is a struggle. The sponge tip isn't soft and spongy like a pencil eraser the way most "smudgers" are; it's hard and dry like a cheap foam eyeshadow applicator. It seems to remove more color than it smudges - I could do better with a Q-tip, frankly! If this didn't cost more than its shipping price I'd return.

If you like wasting dollars I'd reccomend this for you :). I feel like I could have gotten better results from smudging my liner with cardboard.

This isn't the best brush E.L.F has to offer, but for $1 - I can't complain. I use this for gel liner (surprisingly it works pretty well for this) or for smudging eyeshadow underneath my lower lash line. It gets the job done. I've read a lot of people's reviews saying that this brush was too hard - and hurt their eyes, but mine wasn't hard at all. Maybe I just got lucky...

This did the job,but you have to press quite hard and it hurts! When I rubbed it on my hand with nothing on it it left a black mark from the rubber stuff that its made from.It didnt take too long before it broke neither and kept falling out of the end.

I bought this just to give it a try and I don't care for it. The sponge is so soft I have to go over my eyeliner a couple times before I see any smudging. Save yourself some space and buy an eyeliner like the "Sephora retractable waterproof eyeliner" which comes with a smudge tip.

I am not too crazy about this product. I was curious about it so for a dollar I thought I would try it. I can live without ever using it again. After the first time using it I was using a tissue to rub excess shadow off and it looked like the tip was going to pop out so i stopped.

The best thing about this is the cost, although I still feel like I wasted a dollar. The sponge tip fell out of the ferrule almost immediately. I managed to shove it back in but I haven't used it since. It's quite hard, more like foam rubber instead of a sponge. I usually use brushes for blending and smoking, so maybe I'm biased. Regardless the brush isn't worth your buck.

With little pressure, the sponge was pulled out of the base. On the first day, may I share with you girls & (guys)! I was so disappointed, but thankfully, I only wasted one dollar.

Save your dollar.

use a q tip moistened with water, eye cream, MAC Fix or visine and smudge, smooth and perfect your smudged eyes.. but this brush is not worth the $1.00.

I bought several of these when ELF had a 75% off sale. (That's a steal, at $1 regular price!!!)

I use mine as a smudger with my NYX Jumbo E/S Pencils. Just wished these came with a cap, so I can put them in my purse. (Right now, I have to stick the "brush" into a small ziplock baggy, to keep it and my purse clean.)
