I've been doing this since I was a teen. I use pink or red food coloring to stain my lips, followed by balm. If you're good with color, you can mess around with yellow, for more of a coral-y kinda tint, or blue, for a deeper, more plummy red. I also use it watered down as cheek stain. Which looks natural, lasts all day, and can be done UNDER moisturizer, makeup, etc.,

I don't use this exact product, but I do use red food coloring as a lipstain - i could not believe how nice it looked! It is a far better color than most red lipstains I have tried.

It's the greatest lipstain I've ever had, the color of Red (brownish red) looks very natural , the staying power is great, and it's more natural than other lipstain.
