This is my go to body lotion in the warmer months. While it is described as "Intensive Healing" lotion, I'd say the texture is more light, almost gel consistancy. However, it hydrates my dry skin very well. I think there has been a reformulation with added fragrance, but it is a subtle pleasant scent IMO. It is very fresh and unisex, without being sharp, a bit like fresh cut grass. It is quite similar to the smell of St. Ive's Fresh Skin facial moisturizer. It comes in a huge pump bottle ($3.00-$4.00 range), which though very clean and convienent does cause some product waste. Love that this hydrates so well and has a pleasant scent that layers well with clean Spring/Summer frags. I find it freshents my Winter juniper based edt to make it Summery. Have repurchased many times.

I like this lotion. It absorbs quickly, moisturizes well, and doesn't feel sticky or have any scent. Plus it's pretty cheap, too.

It's...nice.
I usually buy this brand's Oatmeal & Shea Butter lotion; it offers insane moisture to my dry, easily irritated skin, that actually lasts. Therefore, when I saw the whole "24 hr. moisture" gig on the bottle of this one I was like "Well, I'll give it a try..."
The smell is light and minimally offensive (it's supposed to be fragrance free?) and the lotion is thick, going on the skin quite smoothly. I do like it. However, it doesn't offer me nearly as much moisture as my usual lotion, and it's useless for me in this winter weather; if I put it on in the morning by nightfall my legs are dry and itchy all over again. It also isn't good for extremely dry, cracked skin. It won't do much to solve that. It's okay, but definitely not St. Ives best.

Recently I had a hard time finding this, could only get the Vitamin E. Today I found it in Target, and bought the three remaining bottles on the shelf. Both my son and I use this (he has eczema and is very picky about lotions), so I stockpiled. It's no accident that the shelf was full of the other St Ives varieties (which are all good BTW) and down to the last three on this one - it is THE BEST-great value & quality.

Pros:
i) fairly good mix of proven skin healing and repairing ingredients and antioxidants.
ii) feels very light yet very moisturizing.
iii) cheap and it comes in humongous size. very economical and budget friendly.
iv) some people area complaining about the fragrance. 'Fragrance' is listed last in the ingredients list of this lotion. For me it is very light. It is gone after a few seconds.
Cons:
well there's no cons to be reported.
This is definitely a HG. I hope St. Ives doesn't go crazy and reformulate this lotion.

What do I love about this moisturizer? Well, EVERYTHING!
You would expect something that's labelled as 'intensive' to be super heavy and greasy. This is not. It gets absorbed into your skin almost immediately and doesn't leave an icky, greasy feeling. And my skin felt soft and smooth instantly.
The fact that it's cruelty-free and paraben and phthalate-free seals the deal for me.
Super, über highly recommended!

I would never have purchased this if I had gone to my normal grocery store since the choices are endless. I literally had 4 choices at this store and decided on this. I have been using this for a few week and I will never go back to my old lotion. This has a very faint scent but since it is supposed to be unscented I'm going to assume it's from all the natural plant extracts and it's a nice smell. It reminds me alot of vaseline when it's first pumped out but when rubbed in it's so moisturizing and not greasy whatsoever. It isn't sticky either. I love that it has no parabens and does not test on animals, those 2 things are big for me and for all the reasons listed above, I will repurchase.

I don't need intensive healing at all but purchased this lotion in the winter when my legs were a bit dry and really like it. The dryness went away after about two uses (two days) and my skin feels very soft. I usually use a different St. Ives lotion but I think I'll stick to this one now.

This is the best lotion I've ever used. I am a near-compulsive hand washer so my hands get very dry (espeically in the cold Canadian winters), but a lot of lotions are counterproductive because they feel gross and greasy on my hands, which just makes me wash them more. This lotion absorbs fast but still moisturizes very well. It also smells amazing - the scent is supposed to be cranberries and other classy scents, but they combine together to create a very adult-appropriate variation of a gummy bear type scent. However, this product contains no frangrance. The gorgeous scent is actually a result of antioxidant plant oils in the product that help repair your skin. Oh yeah, and you can get the big bottle on sale at the drugstore for less than $5 CDN. How could you go wrong?! St. Ives really knocked this one out of the park. TRY THIS LOTION!

I just picked this up after reading the reviews. I agree that it is wonderful. I have faithfully used Aveeno Daily Moisturizer Fragrance Free for years. I also have used Vaseline Clinical Therapy. My skin is dry and itchy and I am allergic to fragrance so I need something that fits that bill. I am happy by the price and the excellent list of ingredients. Check this lotion out. It may just be the HG!
Edit: WHOA!!! I have been using this on my face after EpiquinMicro and Tazorac and it is just lovely. Sinks in quickly and leaves me feeling very moisturized. No break outs or redness either; Love this!!!!!

I was a little nervous buying this because I'm extremely picky with my body lotions. I like something that moisturizes well but I can't STAND that greasy sticky feeling most "Intensive" lotions give. This is an outstanding lotion due to the fact you get zero stick and it soaks into the skin fast! I also don't like scents in my lotions as I'm pretty sensitive. I love the fact that this lotion has no scent-Nothing! I wouldn't say this is on a intensive level, more like moderate and it is suitable for spring, summer and fall. The main reason I picked this one up is that it is soooo cheap ($4) compared to my standard Gold Bond with Shea Butter which goes for $10.

I was having an eczema flareup that was lasting months, and I was using Curel Itch Defense. At over $9, and the frequency I was using it, it wasn't doing the job good enough and left my skin feeling a little greasy. Not fun in the summer.... I saw this had just come out a couple of months ago where I lived and couldn't believe the price. I think it costs $2.97 at Wal-mart. I have always had good luck with facial products from St. Ives. Not only did it save me money, but it worked BETTER and did not leave a greasy film. If you have eczema, just put a small amount of hydrocortisone cream only on the flareup, and use this all over to prevent the dryness cycle. I have actually been using this as eye cream as well because it is so gentle! My new favorite!
EDIT: So, I've discovered that if you don't use this within a couple of months it develops a strange smell...sort of like something that might go in your car.

One of the best body moisturizers I've ever used! This is a perfect bodylotion for everyone who has an extremely dry and sensitive bodyskin. It's hypo- allergenic so it doesn't cause irritations, it makes your skin really soft and almost instantly takes away dryness and itchiness. Last but certainly not least: it's not overly expensive and the quality is great.

After suffering dry and itchy skin from using a overly fragrant and drying bodywash, I was in need of a good body moisturizer. I had had good experiences in the past with Gold Bond for my hands, but found that it didn't do diddily for my compromised skin (even after using the entire tube). Paula Begoun recommended this in a recent beauty bulletin, so I decided to give it a go. And I'm glad I did! After only a few days of use, my skin was back to normal. With continued use, my skin is happy. I think I paid $4.99 (for 18 oz.). Very reasonable. Will definitely continue to purchase.
UPDATE: Tried out the crem version of this (for which there isn't a listing) and it's AWESOME. Better than the lotion, if that's possible. Both are really great moisturizers; so pleased to find such a great line for so reasonable a price. I think the search is over, along with dry, scaly skin! Definitely HG material, regardless of which one you go with.

HOLYGRAIL! Most amazing lotion. It is so moisturizing even on rough areas like my elbows. I only have to apply it once a day but usually do it more. The ingredients are excellent. I like that its not all chemicals and stuff. Its absolutely fragrance free and has no smell whatsoever. It absorbs really fast. The price is soooo cheap- less than 4 USD.

You have to buy this! It works so well, paraben and alcohol free, and the moisture lasts all day long. Especially great for those cold winter months! If you have patchy dry areas anywhere on your body this lotion will fix it right up!

This is a good wintertime lotion for me. In the winter, my legs get all dry, itchy, and bumpy, but with this lotion my skin is soothed. No fragrance to clash with my perfume. It does everything I need it to do. Have and will continue to repurchase.
