I can't even begin to tell you how many bottles of this shampoo I have used. And got my friends hooked on! It is excellent - the best shampoo I've come across - for sensitive and dandruff-prone scalps.

I was very happy with the shampoo Kerastase Biotic Bain Bio-Recharge. It worked very well on my sensitive scalp and treated the itchiness, flakes, and pimples of my scalp. I used it exactly like what was instructed in the Kerastase website and alternated with shampoo Bain Chroma Riche (I have colored hair). I was its loyal user for around 5 years until all of a sudden, Kerastase discontinues all its Biotic line (including the shampoo). I am very disappointed with the Kerastase discontinuing their Biotic line. The salon assistant here persuades me to try an alternative Kerastase shampoo, that according to her has similar effect to Biotic shampoo, but the result is disappointing because the alternative shampoo cannot treat my sensitive scalp and I suffer again of itchiness and dandruff. I live in Italy, but I notice that in many other countries, Kerastase also discontinues their Biotic line (please see their website). It is really disappointing that many companies (Incl Kerastase) discontinue their good products at will and just ignore the need of their loyal customers as if they were nobody in the view of those companies.

I had a really itchy scalp and some dry flakey patches around my hair line (which was not dandruff btw) and this shampoo really sorted it out after 2 washes. For being so effective from the get go, I give it 5 lippies. It doesn't really hydrate my hair (and I had the one for dry hair) but does clean it extremely well. I bought it for a specific purpose as my scalp was going into a bit of a meltdown (I suspect seasonal?) and this sorted it out in double quick time. I'm still using it and enjoying it, even though my initial problems have been well and truely sorted. I always want to have this in my bathroom.

I am having a serious problem of pimples and white heads in my scalp and this shampoo is being really helpful.
I have been using it for about three weeks, and it has reduced the problem or at least keeps the problem away for like two days after I wash my hair.
I love the scent, lathers really well and leaves my hair incredibly shiny.
The cons are the price, it doesn't untangled my hair and it is a bit drying on the ends, so I am hydrating my hair every week now. Maybe the version for Dry Hair is as good for the scalp but a little softer for the ends.

definetly recomend this product! During last winter, my scalp condition got really, really bad. My scalp is dry, itchy and flaky. This shampoo has really helped me. The itchyness is practically gone and the flaking has deminished. I've even been able to use another shampoo inbetween! Tip: It doesn't say on the bottle, but wash hair once like you normally do, then rinse. Reapply and lather shampoo, and let it sit for 5 minutes rinse and follow with a deep-moisturising hairmasque. Your hair and scalpe will be like new! (For me however the version for dry hair is even better)

This is absolutely decadent! The product is very expensive. My cousin recommended this to me because of my extremely dry hair. I have a monthly hairspa treatment but still cant get the result im longing for. I learned that hair spa treats the Hair Strands by feeding it with moisture and vitamins, but the root of my problem is my scalp! That is why i purchased this product by its promise on delivering a healthier scalp making hair more beautiful. Super expensive but very effective! I already cancelled my monthly hair spa routine, instead i use this. (I USE IT WITH NO CONDITIONERS!)

I got 2 mini bottles of this free when I purchased some other Kerastase things. It is a nice, gentle shampoo that leaves my hair soft and not stripped. I don't really have any problems with my scalp (apart from very occasional dryness) so I can't really comment on that aspect of the shampoo but it cleans well, smells nice and does not dry out my hair.

Key Ingredients:
-Bioflorine 2.5% - Rebalances and reactivates the scalp's micro-flora and has a soothing action
-Tween - Cleansing agent which gives maximum comfort to the scalp
-Glycerol - Soothes the scalp

Conclusion:
I thought I'd have another go with Kerastase since Bain Age-Recharge didn't work out too well and this was the newest product in their lineup. I claims to be rebalancing, and it has some probiotic properties to it so I purchased the combination hair formula. Promises aside, this is a decent mild shampoo for frequent use. My scalp is still slightly dry, and my hair hasn't been completely transformed, but I guess my expectations where way too high. I won't but any Kerastase products again since Phyto is the only line of hair products that has ever truly worked for me.

Alternatives:
Phytoprogenium - I believe that this one also makes the same probiotic-rebalancing claims, but doesn't have the same harsh detergents or silicones. I've only ever sampled it so I can't say if its much better, but for me Phyto is the best.
