I'm not a fan of this cream.
I don't feel it is for very dry skin, I tried to apply it directly to my skin after cleansing and toning and it felt very thick and made my skin feel tight and sticky.
The next day I tried using it on moist skin after my shower, it went on okay but again after a couple of minutes my skin felt.
It didn't break me out which is a plus, but it's not hydrating or moisturising for me personally.

i started using this when my normal/combo skin went drier. i do not like the fact it is very thick and in a pot. when i applied it to my skin it felt very greasy and did not soak in very well. i started getting very red and inflamed skin especialy around my eyes. which my doctor said was ezcema. i had never suffered from that before. i discovered it was this cream causing it as when i discontinued use my skin settled down. i think i am allergic to the rosehip oil as i am ok with most of the a'kin range . it also found the scent to be a bit strong which might be a problem for sensitive skin

My sensitive combo skin tends to dehydrate, and it feels more comfortable when I use creams for dry skin. After using this product for over a month, I can see that this moisturizer works well with my skin and it keeps all it's promises. Dehydration lines have disappeared, and some mimic lines got less visible. Skin has become brighter and nourished. No clogged pores or pimples. I wonder if it will be that good for my skin in winter time, too.

I am on at least my third jar of this moisturiser. I have dry sensitive skin and spent much time and money trying to find a moisturiser that would do it's job and stay on rather than just melt off and away! This cream is a wonder. It is super thick and has a creamy consistency, and applied right after a shower with warm damp skin, this stuff stays put and absorbs where it is supposed to. A little goes a long way, so even for the price I think this is good value.
I have had no reactions to this product, and it has not clogged my skin at all. I use it some nights over my Body Shop Vitamin C Night Treatment when I feel I need it (which is not often now), and I also use it of a morning under makeup.
This cream outperforms many others I have tried, and comes as close as I think I will ever get to replacing my Caudalie Vinopulpe.
For anyone with dry skin needing intensive treatment, this is your go to.

I first used this moisturiser about a year ago. I'd been looking for a regular moisturiser and until this point hadn't found one that worked for me. My skin was really suffering, very dry and dull looking, splotchy, red....man, it's like I turned 30 and my skin suddenly aged several years.
Anyway, I bought this for it's super moisturisation properties and it truly delivered. It really turned my skin around and very quickly too. It calmed my thirsty skin without being heavy or greasy, I think the aloe in it balances out all the shea/avocado/omega oils. I'm on my second tub now although I probably use it every second or third night now as my skin is much better and doesn't need such intensive moisture every night.
I love the scent, it's not at all artificial. I also put it on the back of my hands sometimes when they're looking very dry. It's a pretty deluxe product for the price, lots of great ingredients, it doesn't feel cheap at all. Here in Australia it retails for just under $40. I picked up my 2nd jar at David Jones - 25% off made it $30! Nice!
UPDATE: Still using this on and off as I feel I need it. Still love it. Super moisturising. It's quite think so apply it to damp skin for a luxe glow. Wouldn't be without a jar!

This is a beautiful moisturiser to use.
I don't wear moisturiser in the daytime because sunscreen, primer and foundation is enough already but I feel really pampered when I put this on at night. (after using the luscious Rose & Geranium Creamy Cleanser.)
I want to use as many products as possible which are paraben free and I am prepared to accept a small drop in effectiveness or quality if I have to - but with the A'kin products I have tried so far I haven't had to.
A'kin products feel and smell really luxurious and high end, and I really enjoy using them. My skin seems to like the formulas too and I am getting astonishingly good results.

I got a sample of this when I bought two A'kin products, and thought it would be too rich and irritating for my dry, sensitive skin. But I have to say I really like it. I would not recommend using it as a day moisturiser unless you have very dry skin, but as a night moisturiser I have found it to be really good. I pat this onto semi-dry skin and in the morning I wake up with flawless, plump, and calm skin. I was expecting to hate this product but I am really glad I gave it a go. As I don't currently have a night moisturiser I am dreading the sachet running out, and I think I'll need to go out and buy a full sized tub! As for the packaging, like I have said in my other A'kin reviews yes the cream in a tub thing is not ideal. But a lot of creams are packaged this way, including most big named brands. I just make sure my hands are clean, the likelihood of bacteria being able to grow those ingredients is remote.

I like that this is very moisturising, it's natural, and free from harmful additives. Unfortunately, I don't like the cloying scent, the unhygienic jar packaging, and the fact that it has a tendency to melt on my skin regardless of whether I'm exerting myself or not.
