Lots of people have commented on the thickness of this product making it unpleasant to use. I have combination oily skin and this has been a godsend over winter. I just rub it between my fingers to warm up before applying and I don't find it difficult to apply at all. Yes it does feel tacky for a while but my skin absorbs all of the oils in it quite quickly and I can apply my BB cream and powder over the top without any problems. My facialist says that this has protected my skin during the winter due to the oils in the product and creating a bit of barrier against all the harsh weather we've been having. Despite it's tacky feel this does disappear after an hour or so and it doesn't make my skin anymore oily than usual. I love that it's natural with a natural SPF too. Will definitely repurchase.

I really tried to like this, but I just can't. I usually like Trilogy products, but this moisturiser is really not good. It is sooo hard to spread! Sure, it spreads more easily if you add some rosehip oil, but who wants to have to add oil just to get their moisturiser to cover their face?

The lack of any kind of "slip" makes it really difficult to put makeup on over the top. Even mineral makeup for some reason goes on patchy with this moisturiser. I'm going to try to palm off the tube on my husband (he often gets my less successful products) or use it just on my chest perhaps.

I love this Moisturizer! I use it every morning (winter & summer) after applying Rosehip Oil. I find that the Rosehip Oil which is amazing, helps distribute it easier than on its own.

I didn't love this much as the other Trilogy moisturizers, it's a fairly similar product except it's thicker and kind of mask like to apply and little too rich for my younger skin but it has SPF unlike the other trilogy moisturizers. I didn't mind it but I might stick to their ultra hydrating cream or vital moisturizer.

I'm so disappointed in this product. I usually really like trilogy but bought this by accident, I was after the normal moisturiser but thought the addition of SPF could only be a good thing.

I was wrong.

As others have mentioned the texture is very thick and it seems to almost adhere to skin so quickly so there isn't much opportunity to spread it. I could learn to deal with all of this except that I applied the moisturiser around 7.30am and now at 4.30pm there are *still* areas of my face (and decolletage) that I can feel the cream on, ie. 9 hours later they are still sticky and slightly greasy. I don't think my face looks particularly oily thank goodness but I just can't get over the sensation of when I occasionally touch my face, feeling like there is some sort of slightly sticky residue on it.
Hopefully I will wake up tomorrow with AMAZING skin, giving me incentive to keep going with it, but as it stands I'm a little peeved at having spent $40 on a product that I want to throw away after one use
:(

Wow, finally I've found it! This sunscreen is the perfect balance of hydration, protection and texture. I understand that many of you find it a weird texture- but is so easily absorbed and not greasy at all, it makes your skin feel so supple and hydrated. The SPF ingredient is Bemotrizinol which many of you may be familiar with as Tinosorb, it is also supported by other organic compounds to stabilise it and hydrates with Sunflower Seed, Evening Primrose, Certified Organic Rosehip Oil, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, Vitamin A and Vitamin C . Another bonus for me it that it is made in New Zealand, just over the sea from Australia where I live- my only concern is that it is only SPF15, but this can also be good as it gets you into the habit of reapplying. Under makeup this is perfect- I can use my Physicians Formula organic wear tinted moisturiser and translucent powder over the top without it feeling too greasy. Will definitely be trying more products from Trilogy, I already love their Rose Hip Oil

Like the others, I found this to have a weird texture and be hard to spread on the skin. It has also broken me out after a couple of week's use - it's a little too rich, like many 'natural' products seem to be. Shame as I really wanted this to be an HG!

i am SO disappointed! I keep using this, wanting to love it, but I can't convince myself. It is so hard to use on my face, the texture is really odd. I love that it is natural and has antioxidants in it, but I can't get past the texture and finish. I am disappointed because I love Trilogy products, and really only use their products for skin care. the Ultra hyrdating cream is unbelievable - I was hoping this would be similar consistency with added SPF and then it would be my HG daily moisturiser. Alas, it was not meant to be. i don't know what went wrong! Very disappointing :(

I waited impatiently for this product to launch as I am a big Trilogy fan (in particular the Rosehip Oil, handcream and anti-ageing serum) but sadly it was not for me. I felt it did not hydrate at all (my skin would be normal to dry with some dehydration) and it was, as others have stated, difficult to spread. My skin felt tight after application, and while I do not like my skin to feel oily or greasy during the day, I could not apply foundation over this without my face feeling tight and stretched. A pity, but not a disaster as the rest of the range is fine. I have not repurchased this cream, but continue to use the oil and serum.

This product is terrible. Even a small amount leaves a white coat on my face and makes me look like a corpse. It also leaves my skin feeling tight and dry. I will not be buying this product again.

wow, I was mesmerized upon application. It is a yellowish thick cream and you think" oh my, this will be greasy".
No way! you spread onto your skin and it literally SINKS in like you were drinking water.
I never had another face cream getting absorbed in such a speedy manner (= to me it means the ingredients are really skin friendly), really, I was astonished (and I have tried everything that's on the market, either in samples or in the real jar!).
Wow. I have to say that I have combo skin and especially in hot weather I struggle to find a moisturiser that does not add a layer on my skin, and gets my troublesome T-Zone shiny. (I put a serum underneath, and moisturizer, then foundation & powder & bronzer, so I need my stuff to be moisturizing but not greasy, most of all in summer).
That said I understand that Trilogy Age Proof can be super drying for dry skins, so please do not use it if you have dry skin. In my case, I use a serum underneath (and and eye cream, more moisturizing for that area) and it works as a marvel, leaving a matte finish (ideal base for foundation, you do not need a primer in this case).
You could use on your cheeks or drier areas another cream to add extra moisture, but in my case that was not necessary.
All in all an excellent day cream for combo skins and summer weather!

Not good, very hard to apply and has quite a matt finish which I found drying. It's ok if I mix it with some rosehip oil, but not on its own. I adore the Trilogy range and this is the only product that hasn't lived up to its standard for me. Will not repurchase.

I didn't like this at all. Thankfully, it was only a sample. It's very difficult to apply and doesn't spread well. It's awfully thick, too. It also didn't feel like it moisturised, but I didn't want to layer it, because I knew I would end up like an oil slick.
And we're back to using my tried and true Simple Daily Radiance.

Great product - all the benefits of the vital & energising moisturisers but with SPF. Lovely smell, no white marks, very moisturising.

Quite pricey but as with all Trilogy products, a little goes a long way.

My only minor problem is that it's in a tube & their tube products tend to separate so remember to shake before using. The tube makes it more hygienic than the tubs but a pump bottle would be even better.

All in all a fantastic addition to the range.

UPDATE 10th JUNE 2010: I've since tried this again with a new tube for this summer, and it only works for me with rosehip oil and/or the age proof serum underneath which is what I was using previously. On it's own I've found the same as everyone else, it's too thick and fast absorbing to spread it over your face & massage in, and doesn't feel like a moisturiser - perhaps it's designed for the layering which is a shame as it's not much use alone.

Really disappointed with this. I find the energising day lotion to be lovely and light, but wanted something with spf for the summer. This stuff, though, was dreadful on me - thick, white, streaky - even when I tried putting on a tiny bit I couldn't get it to spread evenly. And when I did manage to rub it in, aside from giving me a deathly cast, I got an oil slick. I persevered for a couple of days (not in public, though!), but then gave up and am now using it as a handcream.

Pros - nice slightly lemony smell, natural ingredients, spf
Cons - looks hideous, feels hideous, makes a v expensive handcream

I Ordered Trilogy's new Age Proof line with some mixed feeling. Up until now, I have not been able to find a moisturizer that contained an SPF that didn't leave me with greasy, chalky skin, smelled like Hawaiian Tropic, and/or didn't make me break out. Also, most SPF creams leave me itching so badly that I just have to wash my face and start again. Thank goodness for mineral makeup or I wouldn't be able to venture far in the summer months.

This daily SPF 15 cream is marvelous. 1) It comes in a tube...hygenic and practical. 2) It has a light but pleasant scent. 3) The directions tell you to apply it generously, but a dime sized amount was all that was needed 4) After application my skin felt plumped and moist...best part - there were no white streaks...or chalky looking skin. 5) Was able to put mineral makeup (Everyday Minerals) on almost immediately after.

Cons: 1) The price...didn't feel quite so painful when the Canadian dollar was at par, but it doesn't take long to use 50 ml of product....which means that I'll be trying to conserve product, which is definitely what you don't want to be doing with an SPF (defeats the purpose) 2) Drier skins may need to layer to feel moisturized...my process: Cleanse with Trilogy Cream Cleanser, Tone, Pat on a few drops of Rose Hip seed Oil and Jojoba oil, Use a few drops of Trilogy's new Age Proof Nutrient Plus Firming Serum, Follow with Age Proof Daily Defence moisturizer or Age Proof Replenishing Night Cream, Follow with Trilogy Eye Contour Cream....go and take on your day!
