Such a cute lipgloss... I'll be the first to admit, I'm a sucker for packaging- so when I saw this at the CCO I had to pick it up. It looks a little intimidating in the tube (appears almost orange with a lot of gold shimmer). I was afraid it would be too glittery, but I had heard some YouTubers say great things about it. Anyway- once I put it on, it appeared more of a warm beige with slight gold shimmer (GORGEOUS!)... and not glittery at all (thank goodness!) ...too bad it was limited edition!

This gloss is a nice bronze orange color. Its great for the summer and gives you a great bronze sheen. Plus i think the packaging is super cute! Too bad it was limited edition

It's a golden bronze color with a hint of orange in it. It gives my lips a pretty warm looking sheen. It's pretty opaque , Plus the packaging is cool.

I initially bought Gold Rebel because I thought it would be interesting to have a sort of yellow-gold toned gloss... I somehow thought it would be the yellow cousin of Spring Bean lustreglass, but alas, this was not to be. Quite frankly, I was neither happy nor unhappy with Gold Rebel - it was a very "meh" sort of color. And because I kept trying to pair it with Brave New Bronze - which really didn't, and still doesn't, work on me - I ended up throwing this to the bottom of my makeup drawer in frustration.
But, one day, I felt like doing a red lip... and I wanted to do a warm, almost orange-red lip... except that I came to realize that I didn't have any orange-red lipsticks. So I took out Cockney and thought - why don't I put a gold gloss over the top to simulate that effect? This is where Gold Rebel shines. On my nude lips, it barely has any effect - maybe a slight yellow sheen. But it has the ability to manipulate colors, and is much more visible & noticeable over a darker base (this looks amazing over a plum colored lipstick like Sophisto, as well).
The only reason I wouldn't repurchase is because I'm fairly sure there are tons of other gold-toned products out there that can be layered just as easily to achieve the same effect - products which are less subtle and uninspiring on their own.

Gorgeous gloss--I wear it over coral lipsticks to turn them into a peachy gold color. Really pretty and not overly frosty like a lot of glosses.

This is a fantastic gloss! I love the color and I adore the packaging. Smells good too!
my only gripe is that this is a limited edition color and that I wish I had purchased a backup.

I notice that even though this gloss got a high rating, only has 76% said they would repurchase. I mean, not that that's bad, but I sort of get it. I like this gloss, and like most (all?) MAC glosses it has that great caramel-vanilla scent (mmm), but I wouldn't repurchase. It looks nice on but I don't find myself reaching for it as much as I expected I would, especially given that it's summer time. There's just something about it that doesn't WOW me. Maybe it doesn't work for my skin tone or something, I find it makes my lips look more reddish and I was hoping for more of a nude look - I guess I was hoping it was more opaque than it is. Oh well, I'm still a huge fan of MAC glosses overall :)

I love this lipglass soo much. Not only does it have a leopard print lid which is absolutly gorgeous, the colour is amazing. As summer is beginning i have been wearing alot of coppers and golds on my lids and this lipgloss really compliments my eyes. I dont find it too sticky and i just hope they put it on the regular line cause i love it so much

This lip gloss looks great over a nude lipstick or by itself. It reminds me of nymphette but I like gold rebel better. It is very sheer and only appears as a gold wash over the lips. I initially wanted to get a dazzleglass but this lipgloss's sparkle was more flattering and appropriate for either day or night.

This may easily be my new fave gloss! I love how it gives a sexy gold colour with a hint of shimmmer without being OTT frosty. It's perfect for summer or for a gold, nude, beachy look. It also looks great paired with the Brave New Bronze lipstick from the same line - that pairs it for a great bronzy nude lip. The sexy packaging doesn't exactly hurt either. Great staying power, as with all the MAC glosses, basically it's the best gloss I've ever tried. I'm an NC40 and love the way it looks on me, but I imagine it would flatter most skintones since it's pretty versatile.

This gloss is perfect for summer, it gives a nice peachy gold color to my lips. I love the animal print aspect of the packaging but hate the foil square things. Nevertheless, the color is very pretty and the packaging does not effect that.

I love this color, it goes over anything. I rarely wear lipgloss on it's own, I like more color on my lips. This is a very pretty golden color that looks great over any lipstick. Well almost, I hated Brave New Bronze. I prefer this over a deeper color, I usually use Brick-O-La or Viva Glam VI. It adds lots of shine and some gold highlights. I may have to buy another one before they're gone.

looks like i'm one of the few who doesn't love this packaging. i dont' really care for any of the special packaging from mac, i prefer the sleek black of the normal packing and think the cheetah/zebra print from style warriors is especially tacky (although not as bad as hello kitty- blasphemy i know). that being said i really do like this color. i don't like a ton of color on my lips as i prefer dramtic eyes so gold rebel is perfect for me. it adds just a sheer warm gold glow thats really pretty for the summer. i especially like it over the just a pinch gel blush on my lips, it makes that perfect pinky gold glow that i'm always looking for. love the lipgloss, wish it came in normal mac packaging.

I am addicting to anything and everything leopard print, so i had to have this. i really do like it though! it shows up a bit on my lips, its almost golden, and (weird enough) looks really good when mixed with MAC's hello kitty tinted moisture balm, Pink Fish. it looks amazing, it's my new everyday combo :)

Gold Rebel is a nice, sheer orange lipglass that came out with MAC's Style Warriors collection. When worn alone, its pretty sheer with a little bit of sparkle to it but paired with a peachy/brown nude lipstick, it really shines!! I bought this to go over Brave New Bronze and its my favorite nude lip combo!! The packaging is super cute!! It has a cheetah print on the handle and a silver square/diamond design on the base. This is not a bad lipglass to have in your collection but if you buy Brave New Bronze then you MUST have Gold Rebel too. Its a match made in heaven!

Really pretty on its own or applied over a peachy lipcolor. I tried it over Cream Sherry lipliner and it was really lovely.

Great Lip glass..I think it's already been described plenty here...to me it looks like a peachy gold..with no pink, so its not another Orgasm. Not a color I would normally pick, as I tend towards cool, but since I had on copper eyeshadow (Tempting) why not? It actually worked! I wore it alone, as the two bronzy lippies in the collection were too warm and pale for me. It gave my lips just enough shimmer and summery color, without obviously looking like I was trying too hard, It is sticky, but all MAC lip glasses are...fact of life, and by now, I've become used to the vanilla scent. I suspect this collection will sell out quickly. There are alot of colors you might try even tho they may not seem to appeal...this collection has a habit of surprising you with colors you may not have considered. i won't buy again because I've never finished a whole tube of lipgloss in my life, :)

Perfect over sunsational or brave new bronze.
It looks crazy orange in the tube and I usually can't pull it off. I'm NC25 and this gives the nicest golden hue when applied on my slightly pigmented lips.

Gold Rebel looks very pigmented in the tube, but once applied on my lips it's very sheer with a small amount of gold glitter. It's also very sticky. I would not repurchase this one again. I even attempted to wear this on top of MAC Mocha, but it still did not give me the look I was looking for. Goldyrocks dazzleglass is a much better gloss than Gold Rebel. The packaging is very chic.
