I have this in 05 Absolute white, so imagine a box full of whitish snow-like balls in matt, shimmery, shine, gold freckly versions! I also have the earlier meteorites versions in 01 and 02 and i have since found that the trick to this is - we really just need 20% of this product to work! I usually decant out more than 50% of the balls into a clean container for future use, and work with around 20% of them, which means approx. 30 balls? I swirl them around in the box, and shake them around sometimes to create those powdery concentrate at the bottom - these are really the 'gems in the ocean'.. i like to use the powdery concoction at the bottom of the box and apply lightly with a stipling brush along my nose, upper cheekbones and below my browbone for that very subtle, shimmer/glow/highlighter effect!
It isn't all that expensive when i share with my friends, or fellow MUA-er for this ;) my alternatives are Nars luxor (which i kinda like but find it a bit too shiny when my face oils up by mid-day, combi skin - sucks!), i used to have Benefit High Beam, and that is like liquid version of Nars luxor. I do prefer high beam to luxor, but the former is less hygenic to use.
Anyhow, i like powder highlighter best, and till i find a better one, i'm sticking with this! cheers!

This highlighter reminds me of when you pick up a glittered greeting card and you're left with that glitter dust on your fingers. The balls are a mixture of white, pink, beige, and green, and when I inspected my cheek after dusting this on, I could see specks of each color, tiny green/pink/white specks. I put on a heavier dusting and didn't see much of a difference. I did not get a white or pink sheen which is typical of most highlighters, just tiny glittery looking specks. I don't see it diffusing or capturing much light to impart much to my cheekbones, I just see it reflecting like glitter. I am constantly drawn to highlighters and hoped that at such a steep price, Guerlain would deliver. Unfortunately, it's more of a sparkle item on me, it doesn't leave the nice, glowly, pearly sheen that I was hoping for. I am currently leaning more towards the fair end of the skintone spectrum, and on me, the Pearly White does show up a bit if I concentrate my application with more of the white/pink balls, but like I said, it's more fine glitter than the sheen or shimmer that I was hoping for. Surprisingly, I like Revlon's Brighten better than this, and so far, Dior's highlighter seems to be my regular standby.

This is a LE, Asia exclusive shade. It's extremely pricey for the small amount of product that's inside the cardboard box. I just bought this a couple days ago so will have to try at different lights in order to give a good review. At the store I layered on 3-4 applications, with 5-10min intervals and noticed nothing! The SA told me it's noticable in daylight so I went outside, with my mirror in hand & still noticed nothing! Read rave reviews about this online so I guess I'll have to find out. I fair with yellow undertones & this pastel (not as multi-colored as Mythic) with more shimmer is a perfect match, according to the SA. Will post more soon! The SA said it usually lasts about 5yrs when worn everyday. It should, considering it costs USD$62 here & only has 33g of balls!

This product does give a pinkish sheen on the skin when freshly applied. But given my oily skin, it seems to turn my complexion a bit dark after a couple of hours wearing it. Nowadays, I can do without it. Smell heavenly, though. Will never tire of the scent.

When I use the powder form (debris lying at the bottom due to raking the balls), which offer much concentrated application, I do see a huge difference. It makes your skin a pinkish glow, but ever so lightly. I just took one lippie coz it's so darn expensive! And an LE at that.
