This is one of the worse mascara's I've ever used.
Its clumpy, has no volume, no length, just overall ugh.
Its not even jet black, its grey-black.

I just recently saw this product in a store, and can't believe it's still around. I tried it about three years ago, for my college graduation. Granted, my graduation was an emotional day, but wearing this mascara alone made me wanted to cry. It irritated my eyes so much, and left clumps everywhere. When I got home from the ceremony, I washed my face and finally got a good look at the clumpiness that was my eyelashes. I also have very long eyelashes, and this product somehow made them look short and sloppy. I gave it two more chances, had the same results, and finally tossed the product. On top of the fact that it was irritating and clumpy, it was also very expensive for a drugstore brand. I also hated the brush, it was so difficult to get out of the tube.

This mascara is the worst mascara I've ever tried considering it's Revlon and priced at about $32 in New Zealand where I live. The little thing in the top of the bottle which is supposed to stop clumping makes it hard to pull the wand out of the bottle and push it back in. It also scrapes all the product off the ends of the bristles and leaves clumps of mascara at the base of the bristles - meaning it's hard to actually apply it to begin with. The mascara itself is clumpy, dry and smudgey, and doesn't do anything for my lashes. This is an awful product and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I'm taking it back to where I bought it for a refund/replacement ASAP.

Worst mascara I've ever tried. The waterproof formula makes it sticky and it will flake after a short amount of time. It's heavy and hard to keep on your lashes--it can clump easily. I'm so disappointed with Revlon. I found this at a discount store for around 3-4 dollars, so I thought "why not" and purchased it. It was hard to get off and irritated my eyes for a little bit. I will obviously never be buying this again, and if you're thinking about buying it, don't. I'd say if you're looking for a cheap drugstore mascara, head towards L'Oreal Voluminous (regular, as I have no experience with the waterproof formula). This Revlon product was horridly disappointing and if I could give it 0 stars, believe me, I would.

I bought this thinking it looked really good. first off I could not get the brush into the mascara. I thought you had to take out the little plastic part so I took it out and when I put the brush in it was so covered with mascara. So I washed off the brush and put the plastic thing back in. Still when I got the brush into the mascara it was so wet and thick. I used it once and it made my lashes into one big clump. This is the worst mascara I own.

This is the worse product ever. The wand makes your lashes goopy and gloppy. Horrible. I used it once and threw it out.

Firstly, I don't like how it takes more effort than usual to pull the want from the tube. Secondly, the product does not apply on smoothly with little effort. Thirdly, it can clump and go on too thick and sticky. Fourthly, although it thickens and lengthens your lashes, it does so in a very artificial way (definitely not an everyday mascara).
I've tried mascaras that go on much more smoothly with little effort and without clumping. Go for this mascara only if it was on sale for less than $3 and you're willing to spend some extra time in the morning to get the perfect application.
I'll keep using until it runs out, and mostly on evening occasions when I really want to look made-up.
UPDATE: The mascara really does enhance and dramatitize the lashes, which I still think is better for evening looks. The only thing I don't like is the application process, which requires times and effort. Nonetheless, this is a good formula that needs better packaging and a better brush. I also don't like the stiffness of my lashes after application, but I guess that helps with staying power.

I'm surprised by the negative comments on this mascara. I didn't look at any reviews before picking this one up (Blackest Black shade, regular formula) and I have to say I'm glad I didn't, otherwise I might not have bought this mascara! It made my lashes look full and defined instantly, giving the volume in 45 seconds what it literally took 45 minutes for me to do with Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping, Revlon Fabulash, Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme, L'Oreal Voluminous (the one with collagen...forget the name,) DiorShow and all others I've tried. It is a thick heavy mascara, but it works for me. I guess mascara's like foundation or perfume...each formula acts differently on each woman. Each to her own. I for one am glad I found Doubletwist.

In spite of the thousands of slams here, I thought this product was pretty good. It made my lashes look like I used mascara which is desirable. It removed with soap and water. Please note: I only buy mascara when it's on sale PLUS have a coupon to apply to the price. I thought it went on well, I liked the wand length and the brush on the wand. I liked that I didn't have to apply two or three coats to make my lashes look full.

Note: Got this as a gift.
1. wand length = too short. makes brushing to lashes difficult.
2. waterproof formulation = stings the eyes, can't watch sob movies with this on. :(
3. effect/result = broomstick lashes
USED THIS AS AN EYELINER INSTEAD.
i haven't seen cream liners but this product is so easy to apply on my upper lids. i just push it onto my lids. If I want it darker, I can build by gliding the product. I do let it dry for a couple of secs..maybe 30 seconds max. And I just set this and I no longer need to retouch.
Hardly budges.And easy to remove.

I've been on the hunt for a great drugstore mascara and I grabbed a few at random and this was one of the ones I chose. The brush on this is TERRIBLY scratchy and painful! Seriously the damn wand could be a weapon. The mascara itself is volumizing but also very crumbly (for lack of a better word). On my top lashes I don't find so much clumping but on my bottom lashes it clumps like crazy. I would not re-purchase this & I don't recommend it to others. The results are decent when I have used this and I could maybe see myself using this on my top lashes here & there - but the wand kills it for me.

I will NEVER buy this again because it's a waste of money. Definitely the worst mascara ever. The formula is so dry that it starts to clump on my lashes with just the first coat.
However, I do not want to lose my money and toss it, so I use it after applying Maybelline's One by One mascara and it works ok that way.
I suggest that you do not spend your time or money on going out to get this mascara. There are waaaaayyyyy better drugstore mascaras out there. This one is just trash.

I actually didn't hate this. On it's own, it's by far the worst mascara I've used (besides Great Lash, which is its own unique kind of horrible). And I've used A LOT, believe me. But I found that by carefully applying 2 layers, then putting a few coats of lengthening mascara on before it dries actually works very well for me!
Don't go out and buy it just for this though, as it's otherwise completely horrible. I just didn't want to toss it. I got it for like $3 on clearance, so the price was good at least.

By far the worst mascara I've ever tried!!! Run!! Right off the bat, the consistency looked like an old mascara- clumpy, dry and just plain gross. Does absolutely nothing for my lashes. Packaging is ugly, there really are no redeeming points to this mascara.

I bought this because it looked fabulous on a girlfriend. But when I tried it, it was one big clump, kept flaking and dried really quick. I think I will stick with maybelline mascara.

For the most part I do enjoy this mascara. I can get mega lashes with about 4 coats. However, it can get pretty dry in which case I usually just quickly put the brush through a teeny bit of running water. The only problem I had with this mascara is that it really bothered my eyes when I had my contacts in. Not sure if it was the formula.. or maybe adding a little water to it! :/

I agree with missphilippine, the brush hurts a little, and I find it a little too big for my eyes. I took off one lippie for the brush.
But other than that I seriously have no complaints. I get so many compliments on my eyelashes when I wear this mascara, and often people ask if I have on false lashes. I'm so happy I got this in a double-pack, 'cause I know I'll want the second tube.
