(European version)

I have oily sensitive acne prone skin which can be dehydrated if i use too many harsh products..

This product was totally a random purchase... i was looking for a good moituriser for sensitive skin with SPF but in a light version.

This claims to be for dehydrated normal to combination skin types. It hydrates while keeping the skin looking mate. I dind't expect much.. i only expected a moisturiser... but i got what turn out to be my HG moisturiser :D finally!! after soooo many products i've tried... they all claimed to "hydrate" oily skin and keeping it looking mate and oil free, and they never accomplished that -.- i was starting to feel hopeless...

This is an amazing product, It applys really well, no greasy feeling, and no need to use much to cover all my face. The skin looks instantly mate, with no white cast, but very confortable and hydrated. It's dry to the touch, no sticky feeling at all... Skin feels very soft.

The most amazing part? I look oil and shine free all day!!! I never had this experience with other moisturisers or matifiers... even from la roche posay, vichy or bioderma. I can walk under an hot sun all afternoon, sweating, without feeling like i'm melting off... My face stays oil free, dry to the touch (and very soft), and with a very healthy look (not dull or "dead" looking at all). Even with primer and foundation on top (both of them don't have matifying properties) this works at keeping oiliness at bay. I just got a little bit shiny in my nose, but it's really minimal... So for me it's the perfect base for make up...

With my previous moiturisers (which were targeted to oily skin types) that claim to leave skin mate and shine free, in a few hours i was feeling greasy, melting and with my face sticky and grose :( i was very self concious because my boyfriend likes to touch my face and i avoided that... also, i was always looking like a grease ball... very unflatering right?

So, i don't know what it is about this product but for me it really works wonders! It's the only product that makes me feel like i have normal skin...

It's a bit pricey, but i totally give up on searching for a better cheaper product because i'm sure i will not fund better options. been there, done that. i prefer to spend 20 euros for a 40 ml tube that really works for me than spend less on products that i end up not using...

I will definitely keep buying it :)

To sticky and oily, even in the light version, it leaves an oily feeling on the skin because of the mineral oils. The same applies for the hydrance optimale light night cream.

Excellent light texture, hydrating moisturizer with SPF 20. I have very oily skin and this is the most comfortable daily moisturizer I have ever tried. The SPF is enough for most of the year, although, living in Italy, during the summer I need some more protection. It's so light and it absorbs so easily that it almost feels like you're not wearing anything. The only downside is the price: here it costs around 20 euros and I find I have to buy two a year. If you have oily skin definitely give this a try.

I really like this moisturizer. It's light, but not too light, and absorbs well without feeling greasy. It's very lightly scented, fresh but not overpowering. I would repurchase again.

Very good moisturiser if you want to hydrate skin (but need to avoid grease) and want sun protection. I have used it for over 5 years and am always pleasantly surprised when I apply it every morning as it is refreshing (my skin absorbs it really quickly) and leaves no oily residue.

I have sensitive combo skin - this is perfect for the little sun I catch on a regular fall/winter day. It is very light, disappears into my skin, sits beautifully under makeup. It doesn't break me out but is moisturizing enough. (I have the European version)

avene hydrance legere spf 20 is perfect day-care for my skin. I have dehydrated combination to oily skin which is very bad combination but this cream is absolutely perfect because it's very hydrating and very light. it's great base for make-up too.

The BEST for days of incidental sun exposure...shine free...no white cast...no break-outs after several months of daily use.

Just a phenomenal light sunscreen BUT just be sure that you are buying the European produced Tinosorb S version. I'm certain that the reviews here would be much, much higher - but I believe that these reviews are a mix of U.S. reviewers using the mediocre non-Euro version with the same name and reviewers from the rest of the world who are using the stellar Tinosorb S version.

This is the first sunscreen that was able to pull me away from my HG Japanese one that I had been using for many, many years.

this is a really nice lower-spf moisturizer for people who hate sunscreen or for days w/incidental exposure. i think i could even get my SO to wear this. not greasy or sticky or shiny or white, doesn't seem to cause breakouts. i don't have any problems with stinging around my eyes, even as a contact lens wearer. it's very pleasant just as a moisturizer. the fragrance doesn't really bother me. have repurchased many times.

Too expensive for such a bad quality product. It made my combination skin oily and shiny. Doesn't absorb well, and has a sunscreen smell to it. I also think it broke me out, but that might have been my diet or another new product I was trying. Might be better for dry skin.

This is my go-to day moisturiser all year round. It goes on really smooth and has nice velvety finish. Comes in a handy tube, so is really convenient for travelling too.
Also love the fact that you don't have to apply extra sunscreen unless you are going to be directly exposed to the sun. I also tested a non-spf version of this, and it somehow is not as moisturizing and is more liquidy.

I've tried lots of mexoryl/tinosorb sunscreens and this is one of my favourites. Why? It's so light! It absorbs instantly leaving no residue, no sheen to the skin...its leaves my dry, yet acne-prone skin looking *normal*- thanks God! It only uses Tinosorb S as its UVA blocker (the other two are UVB- Octinoxate and Octocrylene). But I think for everyday exposure this would be a good choice. Derm Leslie Baumann uses a sunscreen that is similar (2 UVB blockers and just Mexoryl SX for UVA- LRP Hydraphase spf 30 Canadian version) for incidental sun exposure. This is free from Avobenzone and the PPD is 10.

I thought this product would do great when i dont need o much spf protection during winter months.however, i keep breking out everytime i put this on. I have a dehydrated skin which gets flaky easily when it is cold. This cream is nothing but a waste of money. Also, the contents of the tube tends to fill in the lid when it is upside down. How weird is that? I bought it two weeks ago but it seems that i have used up the complete tube..dont recommend it to anyone.go Clarins!

I love Avene products but this one is not just for me. I have this tube and used it when I'm out and playing golf.. but then I noticed every time I use it I get pimples. But when I don't use it and just use my regular avene clean-ac I don't get breakouts. I guess it's just a matter of trial and error what fits your skin type.

Three reasons to love it: absolutely grease free, decent SPF, doesn't break me out. This is the only sunscreen with decent SPF that doesn't break me out or make me look super oily - the only one! It doesn't keep me matte but doesn't increase the oiliness either so it's easy to blot out the shine. It's also quite easy to apply this even over make-up and the tube is small enough for carrying in the purse. It's a bit on the expensive side but I'd recommend it to anyone with oily or combination skin - it's the best :)

This is a wonderful product if you are looking for a light, sheer sunscreen for oily skin. It actually absorbs oil. it feels like nothing on because it is so light. It leaves no white cast. it does not have a sunscreen smell. the sunscreen is stable and provides good UVA protection (uses Tinosorb). sounds perfect, right? Well, it wasn't for my skin type. I need some moisture, and this made my skin too dry. The Hydrance Optimale UV 20 Riche is perfect for me though! And, the other draw back from these Avene sunscreens is that they are SO expensive! I ordered mine from skin-beautiful.com because she imports them from Europe (so you know you are getting the effective Tinosorb formula). but at nearly $40 for a little over an ounce..ouch! that is too much.

This should be listed in the sunscreen reviews. Where I work, we sell the entire Avene line. My favorite in the line is this sunscreen. It is not the American sunscreen and you can read more in my notepad. I've never found it to be heavy or too thick, but just the right consistency for my combination skin. Don't mistake this as a moisturizer, because the spf ingredients prevents it from being moisturizing. There are lighter Avene spf lotions that are better suited for oily skins. Excellent ppd protection than the regular store bought sunscreens.

This is perfect for summer. It has a creamy yet really light consistency that absorbs instantly and leaves my face feeling smooth and fresh without that overly powdery feeling some other mattifying products leave me with. It is both hypo-allergenic and non-comedogenic which I love - it has never broken me out and really calms my skin when it feels itchy or irritated. As soon as temperatures and humidity levels drop, I need something heavier and reach for the rich version (which, in my opinion, is still pretty light and definitely suitable for anyone with combination skin) but I really like this during the hot and humid season and would definitely repurchase it.

This is the most amazing moisturizer i ever had.Of course it took me almost 1month and many hours on google to figure how to use it,when and the exact quantity.First it was a big disappoiment and now..i just finish the 3th tube.At beggining i had big doubts about this beeing safe, becouse it gave me red spots on cheeks and dry patches. Now, my trick is:In morning after i clean my face with water and foaming cleanser,on dry skin, first i apply my eye cream (the Soothing eye cream also from avene and next my serum(but ony 1tiny drop like pea size for entire face),wait abit. Now when my face is already prepared,i apply on entire face, also under eyes, lids, (on top of the eye cream),around mouth i mean everywhere. This is the perfect way for me and is working great.I got my product from pharmacy and is Germany made, only becouse i am from Germany.
Right now i search for something else becouse this contain soy oil and this is not recomended during pregnany,i mean is really bad for hormons .I am so sad for beeing forced to quit using this product, but after 1year i can use this again..so yay,2 reasons to be happy:-)
5lipies,BEST face moisturizer with spf ever!

I am absolutely love the Avéne range especially this product. It does it's job perfectly. I do find however, that i have to wear an additional sunscreen on top to stop my skin drying out as although it keeps my acne prone skin under control in the long run it is not overly hydrating. But anyhows I will keep repurchasing as it is my HG.
