I got this blush for free from a friend who has a beauty blog and I'm glad I got it for free. My problems with the product aren't the fault of the product, it's just wrong for me.I really like the colour and find it to give a subtle glow and it's definitely build-able. My problem with it is that it has quite a bit of shimmer, which doesn't work well with the acne scars and occasional spots I have on my cheeks. The level of shimmer in it makes it more of a highlighter, but it shows up slightly too pink on my skin to be used as a highlighter. I think this would be stunning on someone with a much darker complexion used as a highlighter. It would make a great blush on someone who has already great skin but is just looking for a glow. This would likely work well for women with more mature skin who want a bit of a glow from their blush.

I've never been a huge blush person, but this blush is my favorite. I love the design and the color is great. I'm very fair skinned and this looked very "sun kissed" on me which is great. I don't really like heavy pigmented blushes because I am so fair, it would just make me look like a clown.
The texture is very smooth and it applied smoothly as well. I didn't try to build it and left on a thin layer. I'm sure if you build this blush you'll get much more color but if you just want a nice hint of color, this is perfect for that.
I also didn't want to destroy the beautiful rose design, so I was very careful.
Great product and didn't disappoint.

I bought this product mostly for the cute rose design on it (A Rose Romance Collex release). I'm rather fair skinned and it still barely shows on my skin. It does give a pretty color, but I wish it was just a little more pigmented than it is. I wouldn't buy this product again because I honestly feel I'll never finish the one I have.

I love this. I have this and shell pearl from liberty of london, and this one is definitely my favorite. I wasn't expecting it but it looks so beautiful on my nw20 skin. more natural that the pinky pinks I usually wear. Summer rose has slowly taken over and become my every day blush. People have complained about the pigmentation of this? I dont get it..if I swirl my brush a tiny bit too much I overdo it.

The color is as pretty as it looks! On my NC41 skin, it looks very natural! I agree with other reviewers that it’s difficult to get it on the brush, but I use a trick that the MAC staff showed me. Which is to rub the tip of the brush stick slightly against it to loosen it up a bit and then use the brush. I rub it along those rose petal curves so that it retains the pretty surface :) If you do this, then trust me you don’t need more than two swatches and it gives a really cool natural bluish pink/mauve color on the cheeks! Plus you can build up if you like. Love it! Would buy it again, but 1) it was limited edition 2) I don’t think I will ever run out of it, really long lasting good stuff! Great addition to makeup collection!

I was not too excited about purchasing this product at my local CCO. However, I did need a matte mauve blush which is why I went ahead and purchased the product. The product is very buildable and it is a decent purchase. I would go out and say that this is a multi-use product since it gives my skin a cooler tone when I use it sparingly as a setting powder, and I can build up the color on the apples of my cheeks to get a rosy blush effect. I will never pay full price for it but for a discounted MAC product, it doesnt hurt to have this on hand. Great for travel.

I finally got the LoL version of this in a swap and I love it! Its a pretty pink with mauve tones. I thought it might be too dark for my very pale skin, but with a light hand, this blush is very flattering. Its a "beauty powder" blush, too, so its not as pigmented as a regular blush, which is probably why I can wear it without looking clownish.
This is a unique blush for me because everything else I have is strictly pink-based.
I like this a lot, but I don't think I would repurchase if this ever became available again. I like to try all sorts of different blushes. However, if you are thinking of swapping for this or whatever, you should! Its a good blush for anyone to have in their collection.

So I finally got my hands on this beauty powder from my local CCO and I was so excited to use it. The pigmentation is absolutely beautiful every time I swatch it but on my NC35 skin it does NOT show up! How disappointing!

I have the limited edition Liberty of London version of this beauty powder. I'm quite fair so the Summer Rose is actually a perfect blush for me, it's too dark to use as a highlighter. This is my everyday staple blush and I just adore it! It's the perfect rosy pink.

I prefer this over Blush of Youth because it's got more pigment to it. It's supposed to be a slight violet undertone (or lilac) and overall a warm pink on the cheeks if it's successful in showing up on your skin. The texture is quite bad, it's not smooth and difficult to get on your brush. And you get absolutely no color pay-off..and I am ghostly pale. After swatching it say 10 times you get a BIT of a color on your cheeks. There is nothing stunning about the shade and you can find many dupes for it, such as Mac's "coygirl" which looks 100 percent identical with its violet undertone. In fact, it's so alike (I'm almost convinced they just drew a rose on top of it!!) that I returned this one. The only difference is coygirl being more pigmented, superb texture and heck of a lot cheaper. But if you're into pretty packaging with a gorgeous rose sketch on it, this is what you call a collectible item!

I have both Blush of Youth and Summer Rose from A Rose Romance. They look gorgeous in the pan, especially with the flower design, but they don't show up on my NW20 skin. Huge disappointment for me because I wanted these so badly.

As a gift from others, I cannot complain much about the price though I would never purchase such a blush myself. The container does it work and the powder will never fly all over as far as I cam imagine.
Mine is in the regular beauty powder not in the Liberty of London collection. The powder is pressed tightly and thus is hard to take off and put on. I have to use my flat top brush to circulate several times to obtain enough amount for my cheeks.
Also, this is not my ideal blush color in when I saw it at the first time through the container and felt it by my finger. The rosy pink is way too cool for my skin tone and too sophisticated for me. Nevertheless, when applied on my cheeks, it seem youthful as the color doesn't really play off very well even with a heavy hand and the subtle shimmers add glow to it.
To be honest, the result exceeds my expectations.
Overall, it is a practical blush for me due to its texture thought I am not a fan of the color. I cannot see myself repurchase this blush as it is kind of impossible for me to consume this blush for like...forever.
Oh, did I mention the beautiful "rose" on the blush powder? It is absolutely a great plus for me when I use it. I am just delighted when using it despite of all the flaws.

I bought MAC Summer Rose from the Rose Romance Collection, which comes with a pretty rose embossment. When I heard that it was re-released form the Liberty of London collection, I wish I didn't get it then. But I recall that when I first got I was in love with it. It gives a beautiful subtle sheen to the cheeks. It's not too pigmented and sometimes it's hard to even get product to your brush. But now and then, I'll use a clean tissue to wipe off the surface to soften the powder. It looks great with the Gel Blush that was also released in that Rose Romance collection.
I won't buy this again, cos MAC always releases new collections and I can't keep up!

I bought this from the Rose Romance collection and never really used it until spring started. The color is great if you can get some on your brush. I think the way MAC textured the powder into a rose shade did something horribly wrong to the powder. Love the color but not the texture.

Limited edition from the LOL MAC collection. I purchased this and would use it over Shell Pearl which also came out with the LOL collection. Compact closes nicely with a mirror inside totally love that! Very pretty colour payoff, definitely worth it.

I'm very attracted to this powder from the very first sight. Then after I touched it.. I just know I have to get it. I am in love with the texture!! My collection is from the 2010 Liberty of London so I am not sure how similar it is from the previous colour story. The shade on my NC15-20 is very similar with Chanel blush #44 Narcisse. Funny because Narcisse has a touch or coral in it while this MAC is supposed to give lavender undertone rosy colour. Anyway, I am using it almost daily since I got it from last week. it lasted all day on my autumn weather skin, so can't vouch on how it would last in the summer. The texture of this powder is everything and more for me. I love it as a blush mainly but I did it all over as well. The soft glow it gives is just the cherry on the cake!

I just received this BP in a swap from the rose romance collection, and it is very beautiful but has absolutely no color payoff. I am about a nw20 right now and it does not show up hardly at all. If i had bought this, I would easily return it. I did however just purchase the LOL summer rose BP because i hear its wayyy better, cuter, more pigmented that the first one, so we'll see how that goes.
EDIT: although this is a repromote, the color and pigmentation are veryyyy different. the rose romance BP hardly has any pigmentation, but the LOL BP has tons of color payoff, really cute packaging and mirror, and even has little shimmer which i love. def keeping the LOL BP and putting the other one up for swaps.

I admit that I bought a summer rose face powder mostly because of its cute packaging, limited edition status & cute collection name (Liberty of London). But the color is also very nice-pink with a bit of purple in it. It's an everyday color for people with fair skin. It compliments my skin nicely.
This product would last a long, long time because the quantity is 10g. Not expensive at all when you calculate it quantity-wise.
