I received a sample vial of this from Birchbox and have been wearing it almost every day since. Seeing 'Citron' on the box immediately made me think it was a citrusy scent, but I didn't really get that. It seems a little more floral, but that's not a bad thing. It lasts awhile without being overwhelming. I think I may save some of my BB points and try to get a full sized bottle of this.

Got a large sample sized bottle of this from Sephora. I got about 30 wears out of it. I like it, it's very refreshing and casual. I prefer a little more elegance in my perfume so will not be purchasing a full size.

I wear this perfume everyday, I love the warm citrus that fades into more floral undertones. It lasts all day on me. It's so refreshing and subtle.

Whenever I initially sprayed this on my arm at sephora I thought it smelled awful. As I walked around the store, I kept smelling it on my arm and as it meshed with the oils on my skin, it smelt AMAZING!!! I've been looking for a great citrusy perfume and this is the best I have come across. It lasts a long time without the scent fading on me as well. I purchased the set that has the 1oz perfume, 2oz lotion, and 4 cubes of the sugar lemon sugarbath cubes on sale for $26 (regularly $35) and I'm really, really loving it.

Overall, I'm incredibly pleased. This has made me want to try out more Fresh products because they all smell soooo amazing.

I love this scent, but it only lasts about 5 minutes on me. Am searching for the perfect citrusy/green EDP with some staying power. Any suggestions? I also love Chanel Cristalle Eau Verte, but it does not last either.

I got this as a sample from Sephora and it smells. I don't mean in a good way either. It reminds me of a mix between an orange household cleanser and laundry detergent. I don't want to smell like a housewife that's been home scrubbing all day. I'm so happy that I wasted points instead of wasting money.

I got a free sample of this from Sephora... a pretty, decent-sized sample, too, I must say. I've worn it about 5 or 6 times already, and I still have about a half of a vial left. Every time I wear it, I get compliments, and people ask me what I'm wearing. (The problem is... I can't pronounce the name to tell them! Hah!) I think I will buy a whole bottle when I am done with the sample. I like the scent, and even though I can't smell it on myself after the intial sprays, people do compliment me throughout the day, so it must still be there. I really can't describe the scent, except to say that it smells fresh and natural, sorta "food-sy," as opposed to flowery or woodsy. Does not smell like overly sweet candy like a lot of those newer fragrances that I can't tolerate. I think this is the best Fresh fragrance I have tried so far!

I got a free sample of this at Sephora. It smells like citrus and sandalwood. A clean and refreshing scent. I've worn it once and it lasted the whole day. I will buy a full size of it when i'm finished my sample.

When initially applied, the top notes are of tangy citrus and an earthy, smoky scent, or, as I read in another review, "lemon and ashtray." The citrus isn't sweet, and the slightly ashy, dirty scent can be off-putting for some. However, I find it scent settles very pleasantly and the earthiness definitely fades. After a couple hours, the fragrance seems warmer and even a bit sweeter, perhaps from the sandalwood.
...
The packaging is simple and elegant, as it is for all of Fresh's products. This perfume does not come across as too strong, nor does it give me a headache as many fragrances do. My biggest gripe is that the scent does not last long throughout the day. It has very little staying power.
...
I would recommend this perfume to those who want to smell fresh and light, but also organic and earthy. It has an almost bohemian, hippie-ish edge. This is fragrance has layers of subtle notes, but it is not as long-wearing or complex as others on the market. It actually smells like the Fresh Lemon hand sanitizer from Bath & Body Works.
...
Pros: fresh, earthy
Cons: not long lasting, may be too earthy for some

Ashtray and tangerine first on. Smoothes out to citrus in a nice fresh blend, more bitter/true than most, with green notes and a faint sense of base wood or incense or something. Almost a leather-base feeling. Ends lovely, glittery and almost French. Nice

So I'm floating around Sephora, on Cloud 9 because I just got some Cover FX stuff, and I'm checking out fragrances. I come across this Fresh line, which is new to me. I sprayed some Citron de Vigne and was very happy with the scent. It was light and pretty and not headachy--and...I swear to you..it smelled like....like..."Nun"...Yes, it smelled just like the nuns who taught me when I was a child and two of my aunts who are nuns. All nuns smell alike..light and powdery and clean. They shoulda named this fragrance "Nun". I ended up purchasing the roller fragrance b/c it was $18 and I've already spent a small fortune this week at Sephora.
I like this. Is it my favorite scent? No. My all time fave scent is "orange blossom" and my other fave is Guerlain's "L'Instant"..but this Citron de Vigne just brought me some nice memories and took me to a happy place. Would def. buy again. I'm thinking of getting my sisters this b/c they were taught by the nuns too. I swear, if you went to Catholic School --old school Catholic School..try this--you will know what Ii mean!

I only received a sample of this from Sephora. The scent itself is quite nice and citrus-y "Fresh", but it just has zero staying power. I'm not one to ever douse myself in fragrance, but even if I did, I swear this scent would not last longer than 20-30 minutes. For lack of staying power, I'd never shell out the big bucks and get a full size bottle of this.

As with another Fresh favourite of mine, Hesperides (which I have in both EDT and EDP), the lasting power on me is fleeting to my nose initially, but at the same time 5 hours later if I press my nose to my skin I can still smell it (will update). As others have pointed out, for the price it's not really worth it, but as per usual after seeing a youtube clip on 'fragrances for the office' , I was sold! Katie Puckrick actually recommended the rollerball, but I got a good price on the 30ml EDP, so bought that. Smell wise I find it has a Lemon/grapefruit- the citron, accord to begin with then it gets slightly sweet with rose - the pinot noir accord, the dries to lemongrass, patchouli and amber notes.
I was excited to try this as the notes from the website appealed to me and the reviews on MUA were positive. I'm still undecided, but so far I'm liking it! As from the KP clip I would agree that this is a very, very light scent hence the reason its 'office safe' and it doesn't make me sneeze.

I love this scent. I read that its' been proven that women who wear grapefruit are perceived to be 10 years younger than their actual age. I'm so glad grapefruit is the second ingredient, but I love it anyway. It's so fresh and enlivening. I love that it has depth and layers, more like a "real" perfume than some of the others or just wearing essential oil. I think it's beautiful.

This scent starts with a lemony burst and ends with a deeper, more substantial scent, with patchouli and amber. I usually don't like patchouli and amber, but it isn't overwhelming in this perfume and adds to the character of the scent. The lemon scent doesn't last long, it morphs into the deeper tones. It lasted most of the day on me, didn't need any touchups. I really like this.
I'm updating to say I still really like the scent but have noticed the staying power is rather limited. It needs two applications during the day, or it wears off around lunch.

This one went back to the store. It smells like lemon tea, but does not last at all! I even tried spritzing this on clothes and it still didn't last.

Well, I guess I'm in the "wasting money on 'safe' (rolleyes) scents, and ... have the olfactory sense of a sniffer dog" group. I love this scent. It's what the "bubbly" Philosophy shower gels could be as an EDP/EDT if they put some thought and originality into the project. I have to agree that this is a happy scent--clean but not generically clean, ditto on the citrus. Citron de Vigne has an earthiness to it under the effervescence and citrus--I'm presuming it's the pinot accord--that gives it real character. Yes, it's fleeting, but I'm happy to reapply this with my trusty rollerball during the day for a pick-me-up on the inside of my wrist, just for me to enjoy. In fact, I'm off to buy the new set on Sephora that has a shower gel, body lotion, and 1 oz. EDP. This is my new favorite summer scent--the one I've been most satisfied with in years.

Update 6/4/10--the more I wear this, the more I love it. When the citrus fades, you still have that lovely pinot accord. It's summery yet sophisticated, and perfect for any occasion. I do highly recommend getting the shower gel and lotion to augment the scent, though. Grab that set on Sephora before it's gone!

I am really lucky when it comes to Fresh fragrances because their notoriously weak lasting-power isn't that bad for me. In fact, Pink Jasmine is ridiculously long-lasting, and, at times, almost too intense. Citron de Vigne is a very light, ethereal fragrance that begins with a sparkling lemony burst and ends with a sweet greenness. It's not a "serious" perfume for me, instead it's an incredibly fun, uplifting everyday fragrance. It has such a happy, energetic smell I can't resist it. I have so many fragrances I actually forget what I own, but there are a select few that I wind up repurchasing because I wear them so often. They feel "just right" for my daily roles, and they help me feel positive. Luckily for my wallet these easy-to-wear fragrances aren't as expensive as the ones I find earth-shattering, and cannot bear to wear every day, i.e. (En Passant, Amoureuse, Bois des Iles...). Citron de Vigne is definitely one of my most-used, most-enjoyed fragrances, and I'm sure I'll continue to make sure it's within easy reach.
