I've had terrible scalp issues for many years now. Dandruff is one of my biggest issues, along with dry itchy scalp. My hair is thick and naturally curly and when I leave it un-styled it's dry and frizzy. I've spent so much time trying to find something to fix my dandruff and make my hair smoother, stronger, and softer. I ordered this product earlier this week after reading mostly positive reviews on it. It came in the mail yesterday and I applied it to my scalp before bed and slept with it on overnight. I just got out of the shower and my hair is still wet, so I will be updating my review later but I was so excited at the results I can already see, that I had to share right away. First thing I noticed, was that right after applying the serum my scalp stopped itching completely and was replaced by a refreshing, tingling sensation. In the morning the refreshed tingling feeling was still there. When I took a shower it washed out fairly easy and my scalp is still slightly tingling. I did notice that there was significantly less hair in the shower drain than what I normally see after showering. I also noticed that my hair already feels softer and stronger, which I honestly didn't expect at all. I don't see any dandruff flakes yet, which I can usually spot after combing out my hair. I'm so excited to see how this product works after a few more treatments if it's already worked this well only after one. I know I basically just typed a book but I've been suffering from an embarrassing scalp for so long, it's just a huge relief to see such quick results. I hope this helped anyone suffering from the same issues!

Overall this has been a pretty good product for my hair. Its been thinning on the front and this has actually made my hair feel much thicker and supple . The applicator is pretty easy and it spreads evenly and you dont need much. Its def been helping my hair and my scalp. My hair just feels thicker and I FEEL like I have so much hair. I also have noticed significant decline in shedding. Which is GREAT. The only drawback is the price and the fact that when I left it overnight I noticed I broke out a bit, so wear a over night cap so you wont get any on your face. But def worth the price if your looking to slow down shedding and promote healthy hair. Havent noticed any new hairs just yet on my hairline like others have but im sure its coming soon.

This is a miracle product. I never thought putting oils on my hair would make my hair less oily but it has. I have thin, limp and dry hair and a slightly oily scalp that has been unhealthy for a long time due to product build-up. Once I tried this, I finally understood how a healthy scalp should feel like - no strange oil clumps in my scalp, super shiny and soft hair and just an overall improvement in the health of my scalp and hair. When you first use it (depending how much you use and how long you leave it for), the hair does get significantly oily but not in a nasty unwashed way. After washing, hair texture becomes much shinier and healthier. I used to get dandruff from using cream-based shampoos on my oily scalp but now that's no problem for me. I use this in tandem with the ampoule treatment and phytocyane shampoo for thinning hair, and have noticed a miraculous improvement in my hair health, texture and shininess. I also noticed tiny hairs growing on my hairline the next morning after the first use of these products. Will definitely repurchase as I think I have finally found my HG haircare range.

This is a wonderful product. I'm in love with phyto products! This made my scalp feel so healthy and balanced. I have reviewed a few other phyto products. I starting to look forward to styling my hair, because it is actually looking and feeling healthier, shinier, and just plain feels better!

UPDATE 10.11.2012:
my mom called me yesterday and asked me to order 7 more bottles of this for her and her friends! It's working wonderfully for her - it took a good half a year, but when she was getting her hair cut yesterday, her hairdresser (whom she hasn't seen in about 9 months) said she was growing a whole forest of hair...! She said she's gotten a lot of new hairs growing - the hair dresser did NOT know about my mom trying out this product :D So: I conclude with that it really works well. I'm a busy student and haven't had time to continue my treatments, but definitely will someday.
BTW: my mom uses this once a week and leaves it on for a couple of hours, although I prefer to leave it over night.
ALSO: if some of you don't want to pay the money, try some essential mint/eucalyptus/pine... or something oils - they are usually fresh and minty smelling and helps with the blood circulation in the scalp and should work in a similar way as this oil :) I also think rosemary oil should help.
.
UPDATE 05.04.2012:
The fallout amount hasn't decreased since last time. Well well, I'm still happy I got some results :]
.
UPDATE 04.07.12:
At this point, my hair loss has been reduced to about 1/6 of the amount as before, and I don't find any hairs on my pillow in the morning :)
Oh and: I use this once a week, applying with a pipette, using about 0.5 - 0.7 mL every time and sleep with this on. I don't have a cap over, so I put a towel over my pillow to not mess it up, although my hair doesn't get more greasy than it is when it's naturally greasy.
.
UPDATE 03.21.12: I bought one of these for myself. After using it the first time, I noticed that my scalp wasn't itchy anymore - I got dandruff because of a shampoo not long ago. Also: my hair usually got oily every other day. After using this, I could go 4 days without my hair getting greasy. At the same time, my hair definitely isn't dry at the scalp. These things were a good surprise for me.
END OF UPDATE.
.
I found this product through makeupalley when I searched for a Christmas present for my mom. At first I was really sceptical - it's so expensive and comes in a small bottle!
.
My mom has been losing her hair since she had me - 21 years ago. Since then she has never had her hair longer than down to her shoulders, while it was waist long before. the past 8 years, I think she has been trying all kind of methods for getting her hair not to fall out - it was now not only short, but also thinning! This means that she's a lady that is used to but something in her hair at least once a week and keep it there for several hours, so this oil should not bother her in the sense of "wasting time on putting it on, waiting and washing it out".
.
The product itself has a very fresh, minty smell - to me it's something between camphor and pine. My mom loved the smell! It's so much better than olive oil, onion or burdock oil, which are 3 stinky methods for helping hair. Phytopolleine was also far from as oily as many of the hair oils one can use, which my mom also liked a lot.
.
I talked to my mom about 2 days ago and asked how her hair was doing. She said that she's not very sure about it growing faster, but she definitely has seen improvement: there is almost no fallout when she's showering, while she had LOTS of it before! This effect began being noticeable recently, which means that once a week, for at least 3 months should give an effect. She has a little more than half of the bottle left, which means it will last for about half a year if you're using about 1 mL/0.04 oz each time.
.
I rate this a 5 because NOTHING helped my mom's hair before, and this actually does :)
.
I will be updating this review, and hoping this product will continue to improve my moms hair :]

I'm really not sure what to make of this product..infact i'm not sure what to make of scalp massage for hair growth as a whole. Before i started using this product my hair fallout was probably fairly normal for my age and climate (as the season gets warmer we tend to "shed" a little, and i freak out by how much hair comes out when i shampoo). I just wanted to prevent that hair loss with the climate change. I have been using this product for two months now, and as a person with fine hair that is prone to falling out from as little as the stroke of a brush, I am getting a feeling that by massaging my scalp i am actually aiding fall out rather then preventing it. It's as if massaging is loosening the cuticle and pulling the hair out (even though i am gentle). These past two months I would say that I have seen an overall increase in hair fall out compared to the previous months and also compared to this time last year.
For the next two months I am going to try and touch my hair and scalp as little as possible (i don't really brush it at all if i am wearing it up) and wash it as little as possible (every second or third day), and report back here to tell you if I have noticed a difference.
I understand the product is not to blame, however it isn't really a necessity and I wouldn't repurchase it. It is of a high quality and lasts a long time, I still have over half left after two months, which i will be putting away for winter when my scalp actually needs stimulation and blood flow.
So if there's any one else out there with hair that falls out easily, maybe have a second think about starting a massaging routine. If you are unsure maybe first get some olive oil from your kitchen cupboard and use a very small amount and give your scalp a massage (or you don't even need an oil, just fingers), and monitor the fallout whilst washing. Next time you are due for a wash, don't massage prior and see if the fallout is the same, or less.
For me, in the end I think the actual extra growth you get from massaging (which really would be minimal) does not outweigh the risk of losing so much extra hair which may take years to replace. But still, I'll be back in two months to tell you how it's going!
EDIT 20/03/2012: I don't think this did anything in terms of hair loss prevention or new growth. I stopped massaging my scalp and still had the same amount of fall out. Overall, not a winner for me.

This soothes my scalp like nothing else in the world. It makes the itchy feeling go away within minutes. I put that one on my scalp, organic coconut oil in my hair (it irritates my scalp so I only use it for the ends) and wait a few hours. The design of the bottle lets me apply the product easily without blending my fingers. The smell is awfully overwhelming but I think it is worth the results so I bear with it. I wash it off with Nivea baby shampoo and my hair looks amazing afterward. It is not exactly cheap but I am willing to pay for something that actually improves my health.
I highly recommend this product.

My favorite hair product of all time!!! Balances the scalp and promotes hair growth. I originally bought this after experiencing lots of hair falling out in the shower. I went to my local Sephora where someone recommended this oil. After using once a week for a month I noticed a difference. I still use once a week and usually sleep in it. It smells pretty strong b/c it's 100% essential oils.

Very expensive, cost around RM120 for a 25ml bottle in Malaysia. When i saw the review here I just got it- because I wanted the all shine hair. My hair is oily at the root but dry and damaged at the ends. Because I haven't stop dyeing my hair sice 2 years ago, my hair never really rested from chemical treatments. I finally tried to keep it healthy but not doing any chemical treatments but my newly grown roots are still full frizz which are what I am so frustated about! I got this and honestly, while it improved the frizz, it didn't eliminate it and gave that all-shiny hair I wanted even though I religiously apply this twice a week for 20 mins before shampooing. The breakthrough too came in today through, almost incidental. I was letting the treatment for 20 mins like normal, when I felt asleep while catching a show. After two hours, I woke up, washed my hair, put in conditioner and let it air-dry. I went out with my boyfriend after that, and he swept my hair- which i thought was weird because he almost never touch my hair and further more I saw him that morning! When i went back home, I saw my hair was glowing and almost no frizz! This almost never happens after a wash!! My advice- wash after 2 hours, the aroma is very overpowering but all worth it!

I'm always thrilled when an all-natural product works! This definitely stimulates hair growth. I've only used it about 5 times, but I have little sprouts of hair popping up all over my head! I think it works best when it's used frequently, such as 2-3 times a week, and left on for a few hours. On top of making my hair grow, it also makes my hair look healthy, bouncy and shiny. The bottle is tiny though, so you don't get much for your money. I do not recommend wearing this overnight; the invigorating and energizing aroma is SUPER strong, and kept me up all night! After reading the ingredients, I think I could make it myself, which I might try to do. It says that it's 75% essential oils. So, if I buy the cypress, rosemary, eucalyptus, lemon and sage essential oils (from www.mountainroseherbs.com), and mix it in with a base oil (this uses corn germ oil), I would have this product. 75% in essential oils is A LOT of essential oils, fyi. Most products contain only a very small % of ess. oils, such as 5%. I would definitely give this a try!

What it is:An essential-oil blend that awakens the scalp. What it does:This formula harnesses the natural powers of rosemary, sage, cypress, eucalyptus, and lemon to instantly purify the scalp and catalyze microcirculation. It is recommended for those suffering from an unbalanced scalp whether it is dry, oily, itchy, or irritated. A fortifying boost sensitive, weak, anemic hair, it serves as an ideal preparation for thinning hair treatments such as Phytocyane and PhytoaxilE.What it is formulated WITHOUT:- Parabens- Sulfates- Synthetic Fragrances- Synthetic Dyes- Petrochemicals- PhthalatesWhat else you need to know:Do not use one week before and after a chemical process. Ingredients
Zea Mays (Corn) Germ Oil, Fragrance / Parfum, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Limonene, Melaleuca Leucadendron Cajaput Oil (Cajeput), Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Oil, Cupressus Sempervirens Oil (Cyprès), Linalool, Citral, Isoeugenol, Geraniol, Eugenol, Coumarin, Citronellol.
BOTTOM LINE: I have suffered scalp itch most of my adult life, and now being menopausal fear the thinning that goes along with it. I have so far used this three times with very good results, the tiny nozzle makes application a breeze, you just slide this along your scalp and then massage in for a minute. Directions say to leave 20 minutes before shampooing but I give it a good two hours. I may try this overnight, even though the essential oils are 'energizing' and may interfere with sleep. This is my first foray into Phyto but I am very impressed. My hair actually feels 'stronger' at the root, if that makes sense.

I use this once a week to help keep my scalp in good condition. It helps regulate the scalp's ecosystem so whether your scalp is dry, oily, etc. it will work. I found this helped me when my hair was falling out. It works to stimulate and leads to better growth. I sleep with it on and love the smell and tingle.

This product is $36 for a little bottle. I got mine on sale for $5. I use this at the end of the day, before I shower, I drag through sections of my hair, then massage my scalp. It leaves it feeling very tingly. At first, I thought this was way too overpriced. But I have been using this bottle for almost 4 months now each week and I am barely half way through. I too notice that my scalp looks so much nicer, doesnt itch anymore, and I think this is a great compliment to conditioner washing, or the CG method, which can sometimes cause buildup on the scalp. I like to use this with scalp massages. I have slept overnight in it before, the scent was way to strong for my husband but it felt like I gave my scalp a facial. Even though I could technically make my own concotion of this for much less, I like the packaging, bottle, applicator, and the fact that it is over 200 botanical extracts or some mess like that. Anyway, I like the results and the product enough that I will repurchase it at regular $36 price when I finally run out of the stockpile that I have, since it looks like it is lasting more than 90 days with weekly use.

This is a lifesaver for someone like me! What this product does is it breaks up the excess build up at the root of you hair and your scalp, so that the hair follicles are able to grow in a healthy way instead of being blocked by residue. It cures thinning hair, flakes, itchy scalps, and lifelessness. It really is elixir. What I do is put this all over the roots, massage for one minute, then let it sit for at least 1 hour with a shower cap on. Sometimes I leave it on overnight, just to make sure that I'm getting all the residue off. My hair is growing back in healthier, stronger and thicker, and I am thrilled. Phyto products are amazing and I will continue to buy all of them, including this! They've made a fan out of me!

This is an amazing product- it literally turns your hair into liquid silk. It gets rid of all the kinks, it smooths down all the cuticles, and makes your hair SHINE! I use it as a pre-treatment about once a month- a good dozen or so drops throughout the scalp, massage in and rub it throughout the length of the hair. It smells like rosemary and peppermint and makes your scalp tingle nicely. Then it washes out great, you follow with whatever routine you do, and your hair just feels and styles fantastic.
