Bath&BodyWorks calls White Citrus a "modern interpretation of classic citrus". Bath&BodyWorks boasts that their body lotions are "the perfect daily moisturizer", because of it's non-greasy, fast absorbing formula, which contains shea butter, vitamin e, and jojoba oil. Bath&BodyWorks is a cruelty free brand, they've even won an award from PETA (not sure if that's a positive thing or not). Bath&BodyWorks products are made in the USA. I bought my travel size 3fl oz bottle for $3.33 on a 3/$10 deal. The travel size bottle sells individually for $5, the 8fl oz full size goes for $11.
White Citrus comes in a recyclable, translucent bright green, plastic, curvy bottle topped by a green pop up cap. White Citrus' label has pretty artwork. A detailed green flower blooms on the left side of the label with a delicate curly stem. The name of the lotion is written partially on the flower in blunt white capital letters. It's much more simple than many Bath&BodyWorks labels, but still pretty. The back label features a full ingredient list with a little bit of company info.
White Citrus' scent notes include:

Top Notes: Lemon Zest, Sparkling Grapefruit, Juicy Tangerine
Mid Notes: Mandarin NP, Ginger Flower, Waterlily, Lilly of the Valley, Apricot Nectar, Freesia
Dry Notes: Clean Woods, Sheer Captive Musk

I'm going to be honest. To me, White Citrus smells like a funeral parlor. You know the smell of fake flowers and room spray? That's what this scent reminds me of, sadly. White Citrus smells like a generic, musky floral with hints of lemon zest and maybe some grapefruit oil. It's a much different scent from what I expect from Bath&BodyWorks. It's bland and kinda old ladyish. It's light, and more of a floral than a citrus to me. Dull, boring, not something that I think would typically appeal to many Bath&BodyWorks shoppers. Even though it's light, I find the scent clingy and kinda obnoxious, it gives me a slight headache.
The lotion it's sself is pretty typical for Bath&BodyWorks, the only difference is that it's slightly tinged a yellowy green, instead of being white. Otherwise, this is your regular thin, non greasy, quick absorbing Bath&BodyWorks lotion. It's adequately moisturizing, but if you have dry skin you might need something more emollient and nutrient packed. To some it might be "the perfect daily moisturizer", but it's nothing special.
I'm not a fan of Bath&BodyWorks White Citrus lotion. It's more like a room spray than a perfume or body product scent. The name of the scent is misleading, it's much more floral than citrusy in my opinion. This scent is unique among Bath&BodyWorks Signature scents, but not in a positive way. I'm not typically scent sensitive, but White Citrus really bothers me; I don't like using it and can't wait to be through with my little bottle. I won't be repurchasing this scent, nor do I recommend it. White Citrus doesn't seem very popular, I rarely hear anyone talk about and I can see why, this is my least favorite Bath&BodyWorks scent to date.

Although most BBW fragrances give me a headache, this one does not. This lotion is a bit too strong for me, so I mix it half and half with an unscented lotion...perfect! Although I am not very fond of the petrolatum in it, this always makes me feel fresh and professional when I wear it. It will remain a staple in my lotion wardrobe until it is discontinued.

I have to confess, when I first smelled this on a teammate of mine, I instantly thought of laundry detergent and cleaning fluid. Yes, it definitely smelled clean, but I did not fancy that sort of smell on a human body, especially not mine. That said, when BBW was reformulating a number of their fragrances, I had bought some splashes and lotions on clearance. Lo and behold, White Citrus was one among them. I decided to give the scent another chance and grew to like its sharp, green citrusy tang. According to the BBW website, the notes include lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, mandarin, apricot, water lily, lily of the valley, ginger flower, woods, and musk. Overall, it is a pleasant, invigorating citrus floral that seems to last forever on me. The reformulated lotion smells just the same, if a bit lighter. You can wear this with Versace Versense, for which I suspect White Citrus may be a dupe based on a brief whiff of the fragrance mist, along with anything else in the way of perfume or body splash containing lily for a unique floral citrus all your own.

This is a nice, fresh scent for the warmer months. There is nothing sweet or heavy about White Citrus - it's a tart "green" scent with a slight floral undertone (waterlily, I'm told). Normally I love anything citrus scented, but many of B&BW's other fruit scents are very sweet (some of them bordering on syrupy imo). This one isn't. It's very clean and grown up. I feel like a hot house orchid when I wear it lol. I only wish the scent lasted longer on me. But I love it for hot weather when I don't want anything too cloying. EDIT: This has become a staple summer scent for me, I use it almost everyday. It's light and refreshing when it's hot outside. Love it!

Great scent. So fresh and clean. Love using this lotion after I shower. It's a really light lotion so it doesn't leave me feeling greasy. This is a good citrus scent, doesn't smell like kitchen cleaner to me. But some people might disagree because there is a very fine line between a good citrus scent and smelling like kitchen cleaner. This is a good citrus scent.

Refreshing citrus scent that isn't headache-inducing! I'm so happy to find a moisturizing lotion like this that doesn't also have coconut, vanilla, or some other scent in conjunction to it.

When I went to Bath & Body Works to pick up some new nicely scented lotion, I asked a customer service lady there if there was a particular scent that was fresh, and not overpowering or headache-causing. She recommended White Citrus, so I tried some out. It was okay, and I was thinking it was the best I was getting so I went ahead and bought it.

When I got home I showered and applied the lotion, and I liked the smell better when it was on! When I went downstairs to have dinner, my mom kept saying how fresh I smelled! It was exactly the type of thing I was going for.

This smells so much nicer on my body than it does in the bottle. It is clean and fresh smelling but also pretty. I don't really get distinct grapefruit notes which is what I was hoping for but I do get an overall citrus scent. This smells amazing layered with Chance eau tendre EDP.

Received this as a gift. Almost everytime I have worn this, someone asks what I am wearing. The last time I was in a parent-teacher conference with a teacher who has been less than helpful and sometimes even mean to my son....she asked, I evaded, she asked again, I told her it was a gift and I did not know the name....darned if I was going to give this evil woman the name of what has become my favorite body lotion scent!!!

This is a nice, fresh, clean scent. I find citrus in general energizing and great for summer. This lotion is light and while it's one that you or those close to you can smell, it's not going to knock people over when you enter a room. For a lotion, I think the scent has pretty good staying power. It lasts longer if you layer it with the shower gel first. I also have the spray mist scent (the really watery one) - haven't tried all 3 together yet.

i would give this product a 3.5 out of 5. This smells so good and smelled like citrus just like its supposed to. What i didn't like were that it has a greasy feeling to it and the packaging was hard to squeeze out.

I'm a fan of BBW lotions and creams, and their White Citrus scent is a winner. It's light enough that I can use it in the summer, a time when I usually don't like using scented products. The aroma is crisp and not too sweet. The scent lingers for quite awhile after I've applied it, especially if I use it after showering with the foaming body wash. It also moiturizes well.

This smells like Coconut Lime Verbena without the coconut. Very nice, clean scent. I think it works best with anti-bacterial soaps and lotions.

Small sample bottles of White Citrus are in stores now and the full product line will launch on May 12, 2009.
The packaging is pretty and simple with a minimal pale lime green and yellow design on a white background. The fragrance of this lotion is very light and smells like zesty limes but does not feel like an overly strong scent. I applied the lotion on my arms and after a couple of hours it did not mutate into anything odd. The scent only became lighter. I do NOT detect any vanilla, amber, musk, floral, marine or sweetness in this fragrance. It smells like pure clean citrus and I am very happy about this since it feels like the first clean and fresh fragrance to come out of B&BW in a while. I am looking forward to the arrival of the entire line. I want to try the shower gel and EDT which I hope will be very fresh as well.
