I love this eyeshadow! It is a warm tone reddish brown. I use it on the outer corner of my eye, in my crease and on my lower lash line. It is easy to blend unlike some matte eyeshadows and I find it really makes green eyes pop! I will definitely buy it again when I run out.

Very pretty warm brown with red undertones. If you have green eyes this color will make them pop, guaranteed. I love this color and would say it's my favorite and I have tried many a Mac eye shadow. I have medium skin with pink tones and brown hair and this shadow works perfectly with my coloring. I use it all over the lid and in the crease, a little bit for liner under the eyes. Add some mascara and my eyes look like they are jade colored. I have hooded lids and look tired all the time but this color brings them to life. The first time I wore this shadow my seven year old noticed something was different (and I wear make-up all the time) and told me, "Mommy, you look really pretty." She doesn't say that too often! This really is a color that will make you look different than you usually do. Trans-formative eye shadow :) I swear by this for green eyed girls.

Wow, so amazing on brown eyes! I have had this colour for a couple of years and had been too afraid to use it, thinking it was too warm and would make me look clownish. But boy was I surprised! The matte finish keeps it looking natural while the warmth really complements the skin. I use it in the crease on top of a very nude colour wash (I am really into the maxfactor single in almond). This produces a very pretty and wearable combination for brown eyes that really makes them pop. Love it.

Matte reddish/brown/purple color. I love using this color alone in the crease or blending it in crease with bronzy colors for a smoky look that's suitable for day. very pigmented and smooth. Not sure if other people have this problem, but everytime I dip my brush, powder flies everywhere but I have No problem with fallout on my face. Lovely color. Def would repurchase!

My go-to color. Very blendable, and the red tone does not dominate, nor is it a muddy brown.

I tried more blendable shadows from MUFE and Illamasqua, but no one can get this color quite down (a reddish brown) like Mac. In this case, I am glad this is a bit less pigmented then the other two brands of matching, sort of, colors because I am working in the crease and am not adept enough to use hugely pigmented shadows there, especially as they are usually on the dark side. This is one of the better textures for Mac, which I find so inconsistent amoung colors when it comes to blendability, pigmentation, etc. - speaking of Mattes only.

this is such a rich, gorgeous color!! It's so pigmented and smooth. It's perfect for a warm, smokey eye look all over or in the crease... it makes a wonderful defined crease! Blends like a dream and gives me doe-eyes :) A hg brown shadow for sure!! I would buy over and over again.

This color is so beautiful. It is very heavy on the reddish tinge, but it still looks flattering on. When I don't want any shimmer in my crease, I always use this. It blends very effortlessly, which is why I'm giving it a five. The red undertones bring out the green in my eyes.

I found this colour too warm for me (NW20 with green eyes) and couldn't work with the red tones. The pigmentation and wear were good though.

This is my favorite crease color for my skin tone (NC50) and it goes well with most of my MAC brown shades. It goes well with Romp (now discontinued) and Tempting. It blends out nicely and when I wear it with Romp it literally looks like the color of a chocolate bar. It isn't too dark or too red. It is perfect and it is a shade that I would buy time and time again.

I'm very fair skinned so this colour looks great in the crease. I like to wear it with Naked Lunch and Expensive Pink on the lid. It goes with so many of MAC's other shades. It's probably my favourite matte MAC shade.

Initially bought this thinking it would be a wonderful subtle contour shade on the outer part of my crease to add more depth. Swiss chocolate is way LESS brown & lighter than that I expected, so it doesn't serve that purpose. My FAITHFUL natural crease colors have been combos of brown script/texture or brown script/saddle, (used interchangeably) now this e/s serves the same purpose. It SLIGHTLY defines & darkens my crease a little more than saddle but not to much where it looks muddy, akward or too dark. I use brown script to add extra warmth & dimesion to the crease when using saddle or texture, or just use it alone. Swiss chocolate DERIVES from brown script e/s, (a brown version of it) so this is all I need in the crease. A great shadow for a sexier crease & nice edition to my already beloved transition colors.

This is a great crease color. It's a softer crease color for me, but I love it. It's perfect for everyday use. I usually will put on groundwork paint point with this in the crease and that's it. I love to use this in the crease with Naked pigment on the lid and as a highlight. I'm an NW45 in MAC, for reference.

rarely get excited about eyeshadows, i am about this.
rich, matte chocolate brown with red undertones as has been said before.
but this is a truly beautiful brown, because the redness in this preserves this warm, chocolatey vibrant colour with a slight hint of burgundy. whereas some other browns can get very grey once applied. also because this is a matte; the colour performs even better because there is no shimmer to reflect any light onto it. this is also really buildable and blendable, so you can get pretty much any look you want with this. this also makes an interesting liner thanks to again, the matte formula.

i'm wearing this today in my crease with Grain on the lid.

Swiss chocolate is a brown with definite red undertones that show through on my NC 50-55 skintone. I use this as a crease color. This is a great staple shade.

HG brown! After dying my naturally red hair brunette, I noticed that the new color didn't flatter my green eyes as much. (The color didn't flatter any of my other features either - lesson learned). Having read here that this shadow really brings out the blues and greens in people's eyes, I picked up Swiss Chocolate at my Mac counter a few days ago without even swatching it. I am in love. It is beautiful - silky and creamy, and can be applied as either a light wash of color or darkened enough to use in the outside corner of a smoky look. The shadow name is spot on - it's a warm brown with red undertones that looks like melted swiss chocolate. This is a great color to use under the lash line, because unlike cooler (blue or grey-based browns), this won't make you look tired or even worse, bruised. I was rushed this morning and wore a light wash of it on my lids and darkened it in the crease, blending it into Shroom under my brows - fast, easy and it made my eye color look intense.

Works fabulously as a crease colour and is very blendable, with an angled brush it can also be used to fill in brows. It lives up to the quality of all MAC eyeshadows and is definately worth the price tag. Swiss Chocolate is a beautiful muted brown with red undertones and works well on everybody.

I tend to use this as a crease color since I am a darker WOC and I LOVE this shade. It's not too much yet just enough in the crease. It warms up the eye in my opinion, I'm happy I purchased this.

I would say I use this at least 4 times a week....all my other eyeshadows are jealous lol but they just don't rock my world like swiss chocolate!
