Eh, I love purple eyeshadow and I ADORE Dior quints (I think I have about 25 of them) but this one is a miss for me.
The lighter colours aren't that well textured, the pale lilac is a bit chalky/dusty and the white and light pink look pretty much the same when applied. The dusky rose shade is quite lovely, but the star is the jewel toned purple in the centre of the palette. Shimmery, fine textured, easy to blend. The new Garden Roses (spring) quint has shades that looks very similar, if a bit more shimmery (but then this is supposed to be iridescent and is most definitely not, so I dunno...).
I loved Petal Shine, which has darker colours, more depth and a wider range of shades, Stylish Move (satin, more neutral but still purple) and even Purple Crystal (minus that gritty pastel mint shade, grrr) is better then this.
I expect more consistency from a high end brand that this. I have just ordered the Guerlain Les Perles quint and will see how that compares.

This is my go to palette for sexy purple eyes. I have a tanned, warm skin tone but this still works for me. The shadows are very easy to apply, very smooth and the color is beautiful. I took one lippy off because it's not a versatile palette. What you get is exactly Pearly Lilac eyes.

VERRRRRRRRRRRRYYYY lovely lilac collection introduced by Dior for summer 2009. Wore it all day yesterday and several people stopped me and told me my eyes looked great. Thing is, i have blue/green eyes, am fair skinned, and cool toned. If you do not follow suit then this quint is not for you. if you do, run and get this.
This quintet of five colors is subtle, shimmery, and sheer. If you are familiar with other Dior quints-- think SWEET ILLUSION marries PETAL SHINE and gives birth to PEARLY LILAC...
the colors are:
1- a sheer, white shimmer. 2- a sheer, pale, lilac shimmer 3- a mid to deep toned, blue based, purple shimmer as the definer color 4- a muted rose/lilac shimmer and 5- a very very pale pink shimmer. all rather sheer, and shimmery, but very, very beautiful. If you are the purple type and are cool toned, it is a MUST HAVE. The shadows lasted all day, easily to apply, blendable, not chalky, and just plain pretty to wear.....the packaging is standard dior blue plastic case, two worthless applicators, nice mirror, fake velvet pouch. I recommend. it really does look lovely on if you are cool toned and like shimmer.
