Tip-off is more of a dark gray color, but it is close to black, so if you want eyeliner that's not as harsh as black then you would probably like this color. At first I liked this eyeliner a lot. It applied very smoothly, and the color was very nice. It smudged a lot though! I didn't really notice the smudging until after using it for about two months. Sharpening it was also a major pain. The pencil would just become rough and I would end up hurting my eye. If you don't have oily eyelids, and you have a good eyeliner sharpener then you could probably make this eyeliner work for you. I won't be buying this again though :(

I just reviewed the look of love eye pencil in brownie points and while I have seen some positives with that eyeliner, "tip off" is slightly disappointing in comparison. It doesn't glide on easily like brownie points and it always feels rough when applying it onto my eyes. Even sharpening doesn't do much, if anything it makes the edges of the pencil rougher and harder to use. The color wasn't a true black. The glitter was nice but it came out closer to charcoal gray when I used it. There are better black eyeliners on the market but this one just doesn't cut it.

I liked this eyeliner a lot at first, I bought it twice. It applies so smoothly! I loved how easy it was to apply. Also, this eyeliner isn't a harsh black. It's a nice smoky black-grey color. After wearing this for a while I realized that it smudged on me, A LOT. I had to keep checking it so I wouldn't end up with raccoon eyes, but the smudging could have been caused by my oily skin. It also was normally faded by the end of the day :/.The thing that really bugged me was sharpening it.I had to sharpen it almost every time I used it because the tip became very dull, because it was so soft.In addition It was nearly impossible to sharpen. It would end up splintering, and then it would hurt my eyes when i tried to use it. One time, when i was almost done with my first pencil and tried to sharpen it, the rest of it split in half! Well, the smudging and fading could have been caused by my oily skin, and I have heard that they make special sharpeners for this eyeliner, so this eyeliner could work for you if you don't have oil problems or you use it for a smoky eye look. I just don't think $12 is worth it.

I had high hopes for this eyeliner based on the reviews. It does apply nicely. It goes on smoothly, and leaves a nice dark line. Unfortunately, it smudges horribly about an hour after I've applied it. I have to admit that I'm oily, so a lot of pencils smudge on me. However, I've used pencils that also apply nicely, and don't smudge like this one. I'm currently using Revlon matte luxurious color in black truffle. Although it doesn't smudge, it does wear off by the middle of the day. I think I may go back to Prestige eyeliners. They apply nicely, and stay on with minimal smudging.

I picked up a few Flirt! eyeliners recently and this is such a great everyday colour. Tipoff is a flat, dark choarcoal grey - perfect for work as a softer alternitive to black or paired with smokey eyes for night. At some angles you may mistake it for being black but it is definitely softer than black.
The 'Look of Love' eyeliners (such a cute name!!) are super soft and amazingly pigment relative to the low price. They're a little on the smudg-y side but this makes them perfect for smoking out a look. The only down to this is that they require constant sharpening and blunt very easily! (this is the reason I have deducted 1 lippie)
overall a fabulous, bargain product!
