This Shampoo is expensive. Did it keep my color? It helped. This was during the summer when the sun takes a beating on hair color. A little goes a long way. But, it seems as though it is not rinsing all the way but apparently it is. I am not a big time swimmer nor do I sit in the sun
for long periods of time. I usually have a baseball hat on playing sports so I can not say that the sun really could damage my hair much.

I must admit I prefer the smells of Garnier, Aussie, Bed Head, Clairol Herbal Essense, Sauve Knock offs....

This smells of a combination of old fashioned chemical relaxers and citrius.

Will I buy it again? No. It was one of those moments when the hairstylist says "Your hair really needs this Goldwell blah blah blah..."
And my response is to just buy it because I am too weak to say no.

I should have stuck with this shampoo instead of switching to Nexxus Botanoil. (sigh, I love to try out new stuff...) This shampoo was gentle but cleansed very well and left my hair lightly scented. Pairing with Goldwell Definition Color and Highlights Conditioner had kept my colour treated hair healthy and shiny. A very good quality shampoo that does what it says on the bottle!

This really dried my hair out...Before I started using this I was using TreSemme shampoo for red/brunette hair and my hair looked really healthy, but since I've started using the Goldwell my hair has really dried out and looks dull. Oh well, back to square one!

I just bought this stuff last week and am very unimpressed. I paid $17-I know, don't ask me why, and I hate the smell, and I feel like it actually dulls, drabs, and darkens my highlighted brown/blonde hair. I will never repurchase and I want to get rid of this stuff quickly. I also bought the conditioner-yuck!

Being in the beauty bussiness for years, I've tried many many shampoos. This the one I always come back to and have stayed with for the last two years.
Goldwell has recently repackaged, claiming no major formula changes(other than removing the AHA's supposedly) so I will see if I need to alter my review after I've used it for a while!
Otherwise this is my HG shampoo and conditioner!

This product is double listed, so I will repeat my review here. I LOVE this. I stumbled upon it after trying numerous shampoos to prevent fading of my lowlights (Pureology, A&G, Graham Webb, etc.), and I'm so glad I did. This works 10X better than all the others I've tried. My colour lasts *significantly* longer since I've been using this. It's very gentle, has a subtle pleasant scent, and leaves my hair soft, conditioned, and manageable but not weighed down. You have to lather up twice to really get a good lather and properly clean your hair, but I always do that anyway (I've read the first lather just removes dirt and oil and the second is what actually cleans). A great find and not too expensive either. I've repurchased it twice already.

One of my favorites... and as a hairdresser I have tried many different shampoos for my colortreated hair. My hair is soft and shiny after usin this. I love the new Color definition light, that even better! Gives some fullmess, but more shine and softness

I rarely purchase the same shampoo/conditioner twice, as I love to try new products and have yet to find one that I am truly loyal to. I absolutley LOVE these products!! Anyone who knows me will say I am extremely picky and take very good care of my long hair as I have invested a lot in coloring it to the perfect highlighted, honey blond, brown hair. I always seem to have a great hair day when I use these products. My hair feels clean, looks shiny, behaves, and has great body. My scalp tends to be very oily so I do wash everyday. I still try new products but I am always happy to return to Goldwell Color & Highlights.

This shampoo did nothing for me and used with the matching conditioner I had limp hair that wouldn't do anything. It was not moisturzing, and it didn't clean my scalp well enough leaving it itchy.

My stylist recommended this to me after she found out I was using a 2-in-1. Horrors! I have long, straight, very fine hair and when I use a separate shampoo and conditioner even the lightest conditioners weigh it down. When I use just a shampoo it ends up dry and very hard to comb. This shampoo is fantastic! Because it's for color treated hair it is extra moisturizing, so I can use it with just a leave in conditioner for the ends and no breakage at the top. It also has a very nice, but subtle scent.

About 3 weeks ago I got my natural light brown hair dyed to a medium color brown. I wanted a shampoo that helps eliminate the dryness of color-treated hair and doesn't cause build up, so after reading these reviews I decided to purchase Goldwell's Definintion Color and Highlights Shampoo. The shampoo doesn't lather, which I read is good for a color-safe shampoo. It doesn't cause build up and leaves my hair silky smooth, which is great for my oily hair. I also like the fact that it doesn't contain any silicones, or if it does they are very minimal because my hair doesn't like the -cones. My color has faded a little, but that's what unnatural color does. For 8.4 oz the price isn't too bad for a salon product, which runs between $7.50-9.50, and with my fine chin length hair the product will last for a long time. If I continue to color my hair (which I and everyone else around me loves), I will repurchase Goldwell's Color and Highlights Shampoo.

Of all hair products, this one is the best for my rather thick, highlighted and colored hair.

It leaves the hair clean with no buildup or residue, despite the fact that it contains a light conditioner in its formula.

I switch shampoos every few days, but this is one shampoo that i won't forget about for long. It's the best, and can be gotten in beauty supply stores as well as salons.

I have finally found an absolutely great shampoo for my highlighted, every-other-day flat-ironed, dry-ends hair :) The smell is subtle, yet simply intoxicating for me (I just love it!)This shampoo cleanses my hair very gently, without leaving them coarse and tangled. A+!

I have body and find I dont need much of any styling product when I use this. I really recommend this stuff. also it does not have a havy perfume smell which I like because i wear fragrance and it does not clash
