Pros: lightly moisturizes, does add some color, the foam comes out well.
Cons: color didn't get dark enough! It doesn't look like a full tan like what it shows on the bottle, it does have an odor, splotches and streaks.
The product isn't terrible but it didn't really do it's job. I expected a dark tan but this just made me a tiny bit darker, and the streaks look like a burnt orange. Won't be rebuying.

I gave this 2 lipsticks because it is moisturizing and it smells pleasant. I am natually extremely pale (like corpse pale) and in an attempt to look more lively, I bought this. This product really didn't work for me. It looked streaky and splotchy, even though I was very careful while applying it. It was very orange and unnatural. It was very disappointing, because I thought Jergens was supposed to look natural on all skin tones. I guess not. I won't be buying this again.

I'm an extreamly pale individual. The lightest shade of mac is overly dark on me. For some reason my body just doesn't tan, if I stay out in the sun I'll just get burnt and after the burn goes away nata, same old ghost. This product gives me a nice tinted glow to my skin that makes me look a little more alive. It makes it a lot easier to use the kinds of foundations I want to use so that my skin will match them. I'll always have this as a staple item. It doesn't streek, doesn't look orange, and doesn't cause any side-effects to my sensitive skin.

I just bought this today. It is my first self tanner and I'm super excited to try it out! The sun really isn't so great for you in the long run so I figure fix the problem before it arises! (It also came with the facial moisturizer which I have a separate review for.)

I took a shower around 4 today. Did my normal thing in the shower; shave, exfoliate etc. got out put on bath and body works lotion and worked this really well into my skin. Then I washed my hands. I love that it doesn't have that nasty self-tanner smell and it dries super quick! It's now around 9:30 and my mom asked me if I had been in the sun at all today! This stuff is working super fast!

Granted I have only used it once so I will come back in a week and do a quick update on how everything is going!

This must be the best self-tanner in the history of the world. Not wanting to spend time in the sun, I've tried many tanners - lotions, gels, sprays, etc. This is the only one I have found that is just about perfect. The foam goes on and disintegrates immediately, spreading easily and smoothly. The color that develops gradually is (on me, at least) completely natural without a trace of orange. Zero streaks. Freckles and moles don't turn weird dark colors. There's no yucky smell. Recommend this tanner very highly.

Originally i was going to get a different sunless tanner(something by banana boat) but they were sold out. Out of options i quickly grabbed this and i have to say its one of my holy grail products. It applies like a dream, no waiting for an hour and no obnoxious stains on your clothes. And my skin is pretty pale. I tan quite easily but call me lazy. Nothing compares to a real beautiful tan...but not everyone has time to tan,am i right? This product gives a nice believeable tan from head to toe. For me, there is no smell, a slight maple-y scent, but nothing that will send your nostrils ablaze.I do use this on my face, which is acne prone and quite sensitive.no problems. But the few problems i have that make this a 4/5 is that if you arent careful in application you will get hands that look like they just came from the jersey shore. Gloves do work well, but just a word of caution.;) and the other is that this is not a totally streak free product. Rub with circular motion and make sure spots arent left out. Of course, this can be easily fixed by applying foam to that area the following day.
Overall a wonderful product i will be repurchasing,

I've been using this for about a week, and It gave me a nice orange/bronze color. Im originally a light skinned, and I only tried this because I found it in my br closet and thought i could use some color, only about half was left and it lasted me a week, using it on my whole body. I think its a good price, and I plan on repurchasing in the darker one next time to make me even more dark orange/bronze. I like it :) Its really easy to apply once you get used to it, since its foam, it dries in like 3 minutes, and doesnt make my clothes stick to me. I've noticed a few blotches, but nothing like putting in on the next day to even it out, and so on... I would NOT recommend putting it on your face because I did twice and my pores are clogged, I only broke out once, but it leaves my face really weird and my makeup doesn't look the same because my face is so clogged with this foam. it is kind of sticky and you have to rub it in very very well before it dries for it to be even. Anyways, i like the color of my skin for the most part

Best self- tanner hands down. Even better than the lotion. This goes on super quick, dries even faster and gives the whole body a great glow! I like also how the tan doesn't look fake and it doesn't give the streaky look. The bottle also will last for about a month or so if you use it every other day, maybe more. The smell isn't that horrific. Just put it on at night otherwise you are going to get people saying "is someone wearing self- tanner?" all day long. But if you are looking for that SUPER deep tan, this isn't for you. I have very pale skin and this gives me the perfect glow, so that says something. Go for the medium/ dark skin foam.

I love this stuff! My skin is very fair and with 3 uses of this product I'm no longer "glowingly white." The color is good with no sign of orange.

It's easy to apply, I think the foam is much easier than lotion. I'm somewhat sloppy when applying it, but no streaks or splotches except a little on the tops of my feet at the ankle area. I may try putting lotion there first or just being a little more careful. I do my entire body in 3-4 minutes, so I can't say I'm exactly meticulous in application.

The bottle I'm using barely has a smell when putting it on (I mean <1 on a scale of 1-10) and no smell when it dries. I have a sensitive nose and have given up products based wholly on scent/smell but I just don't smell anything with this product. Based on some of the reviews about the horrible smell I have to wonder if some batches are off or have been left in the sun/heat? Or maybe they just react differently to specific body chemistries?

There have also been complaints about difficulty in squeezing product out. It's just like mousse or foam sunscreen bottles; light pressure puts out plenty of product. The cap design is very basic so if you're having trouble getting product out there is something wrong with your cap. Even my mom with arthritic hands uses this thing without difficulty.

Thanks to the reviewer that suggested using the little bit left on the cap for the backs of your hands after taking off gloves; works great, just enough product!

My only complaint is that I feel sticky for a while after application, even an hour or two later. I go to bed this way and have left no marks on the sheets, and when I wake up my skin is very smooth. Some reviewer said that a sticky residue is a result of using too much product; this may be the case. I put a largish golfball sized amount in my hands and slather it over one leg, rubbing til dry. I'm sure I could get by using less if I took the time and did smaller areas.

Overall, very happy with this product.

I normally purchase this in a tube, but Walmart was out, so I decided to give the foam a chance. I like the foam much better because it dries quickly and once it's dry, my skin doesn't feel sticky. Also, the fragrance is practically non-existent -- much less than with the lotion. I also find that the foam is easier to apply quickly and evenly. I'll definitely buy this again, and I'll go for the foam instead of the tube.

I just have gotten into self tanners since I never tan at the beach anymore. I bought this on- tuesday 5/17. I applied this after my morning shower on- wednesday 5/18. First I exfoliated, then shaved my legs, put bath and body works lotion on, then applied this. By the end of the night I could see a very light natural color. I was in a rush the first time I put it on so I just applied to my legs and arms only while wearing my jean shorts & T shirt. This dried soo Fast with no self tanner smell. ( maple syrup pancakes?) I was ready to walk out the door in minutes! by the end of the night I could smell that self tanner scent very lightly.

This morning- thursday- I applied after my morning shower, no shaving legs and No lotion applied to legs either. Applied small amounts and was out the door in minutes with it dry! at the end of the day I can smell that self tanner scent but it's not that strong. I see more color too and it looks pretty natural.
Tomorrow-friday- I plan to shave my legs and apply it in the morning. Saturday and Sunday I may skip and just wait till monday to use it again. depending on how it looks I will use it every other day most likley.

so far so good. I look like I have been tanning at the beach!

UPDATE*** I really like this self tanner. after 5/20 I waited till 5/25 to reapply then again on 5/28. The more practice I have putting it on, the better it looks! I rub it in with circle motions and find that works better. small sections at a time. for example - shoulders to mid arm, then mid arm to wrist. Top Thigh to knee, then knee to ankle. neck to chest.

The foam is my fav and I plan to buy this again since I like how fast this drys so I can get dressed really quick!

I am glad I tried this self tanner.

UPDATE June 24, 2011 - I bought this again since I am almost out! I plan to use this all summer! I love to apply this after my shower and appreciate how fast this drys! Looks really good too since I have had lots of practice with applying this stuff.

I really like this product because the smell is the least strong out of all the selft tanners I have used. My skin is extremely fair and this product goes on quite nicely however I must strongly recommend that before applying put moisturizer on your elbows, fingers (if you do not use gloves), and kness because in those areas it has a tendancy to turn orange. I did apply too much to my arm one day and it turned a burnt orange color so try to follow the instructions on the bottle as well as you can. I just hate how expensive it is without coupons and sales though.

Ok, if you're looking for the holy grail of self tanners, that you can just slap on and go about your business and end up with a perfect tan, this isn't it. I don't know if that exists. But it's pretty close. Do yourself a big favor, and exfoliate first, then put a little lotion on any extra dry patches, like heels and elbows. If you have really pale skin (I am a couple shades darker than the guy in Powder...) then it will get streaky and splotchy if you aren't a little careful. Fortunately, even with my lack of skill and paper-white skin, I still ended up with a fairly even color. Personally, I would like it to be even more gradual- you can tell a difference the first time you use it, and yes, my heels are a bit orangey right now, but it's nowhere near as bad as with the tanners that are marketed "medium" to "dark." This is a little more forgiving of mistakes made during application. Next time I apply, I'll be using a bit more lotion first, to prep my skin so it doesn't absorb so much tanner.

As for the smell... I am pretty sensitive to the scent of self tanner, and sometimes I just stay pasty white all summer rather than having to smell like whatever that is. (Moldy fruit? Old gym socks? I'm not sure.) This stuff isn't too bad. It does have a bit of a smell, especially if you get sweaty after you put it on. But of all the brands of self tanner I've used, it's the least noticeable. I don't feel like I need to take three showers and douse myself in perfume before I can go out in public, you know?

The can says it dries in seconds, which I suppose is true, considering that minutes can be counted in seconds... it took about 5 minutes for me to feel comfortable touching it without having it rub off. So, in Jergens terms, I guess that's about 300 seconds... Even then, since it's a hot humid day, I put on a dusting of body powder and I'm feeling good about it.

I think I paid a little over $8 for the can of foam, so it's not the cheapest or the most expensive. You don't have to use a lot to get a nice subtle "glow." Used every day, all over the body, it might last a couple weeks. Used every other day/ every third day, or just on the arms and legs, it could last all summer. (I've used the lotion version of this as well, and although it's a little cheaper for the amount you get, with the lotion I would say I used more at a time, so it works out to about the same number of applications.)

So, bottom line is that it lives up to its promises and my expectations, and I think that I will be buying this again.

I just started using this today, but so far I love it! With prom in two weeks I need a tan. I don't want to be dark, I just want a natural glow so I thought I'd give this a try. A couple years ago I tried Bath and Body Works' Shade To Order tanner and it turned my orange, VERY splotchy even when I exfoliated, and it smelled TERRIBLE. It was salty smelling almost and the smell would stick to your clothing and hands no matter how many times you washed them and I felt like it was so strong everyone else could smell it. After that I decided on no more self tanners! This Jergens product however, is great so far. It goes on smooth, is easy to spread, and dries fast without leaving you sticky. It has only a very faint smell, and its not a bad smell at all... You can only smell it if you stick your nose right next to the nozzle and the product comes out very easily. I've read a lot of great reviews about this natural glow stuff so hopefully it works. The key is also less is more, or you will have too much foam!. It only takes a light squirt because it comes out liquidly and then expands by a LOT. I would recommend this so far :)

I don't tan so I rely on self tanners. I was really tired of all the tanners I tried that left me streaky or sticky with the terrible smell. I tried this because it is more of a lotion, and I'm really impressed. It is a little sticky but the trick is not to use more than you need, just use it lightly. I don't think it has a bad smell at all compared to others. The reviews that say it is streaky probably could use a good exfoliation. I plan to use the med/dark next because the lighter one doesn't give me quite enough color. Other than that I like it :)

ack! this tanner left my skin with more streaking than a frat party. i think it needs more of a moisturizing component for us fair-to-transparent gals, because i was left dry-skinned, itchy, and uneven. i love the idea, but it needs improvement before i'll buy again.

I saw this while shopping and bought it on impulse. I have dark hair & eyes, but burn in the sun---never tan. My aim isn't to be tan---I am going for honey-colored skin. I got this product and after 3 days' application I had the pretty glow that I was after. I had some trouble with the nozzle (it seemed extra drippy somehow), but then I figured out how to just squirt out a tiny bit of product and then give it a few seconds to foam up. I use about a golfball size for each leg. I do notice the self-tanner smell but this is not bothersome for me. I got the bonus size for about $8 at my local Wal-Mart. A small amount of this goes a long way and I like that it dries so quickly! IME I got very pretty results for a nice price so I will definitely be repurchasing.

I really like this self tanner!! I have tried a lot of DS brands - L'Oreal, Dove, the Jergens lotions, and I have found this one to be my favorite. The best parts about this self tanner for me are the quick drying factor and the no streaking. I am usually not very consistent about applying self tanner because I hate waiting for my body to dry. This product, however, dries so quickly that I don't mind applying everyday. Even better, I have not seen any streaks, and I always had streaky/splotchy issues with other tanners.

For me, this product gives a light, natural looking tan which is exactly what I want. It does have that distinct self-tanner smell, but I find that it goes away as soon as the product dries. I can deal with the smell for 1 or 2 minutes it takes me to apply to my whole body.

I will definitely be repurchasing!

Not a bad self tanner. I'm very fair skinned, and most self tanners look really orange. This one, thankfully, looks more natural, although nothing really compares to a few days in the sun. Very few streaks with this. It dried really quickly, which helps with streakiness. I can't really agree with some of the other reviews though - it has that definite self-tanner stink, which doesn't really go away after the product has dried. Other products have smelled worse, certainly, but this one was not without the tell-tale self tanner smell. All in all, good results for the price.
