I can not believe they are discontinueing this polish. it is like a jewel in the bottle and on the nail as a topper of light blue purple or gunmetal it looks amazing. I can't believe the opal line is going. I stocked up as much as possible buy 5 bottles online. I think i went a little nuts. but still i LOVE this polish.

It seems I fell down a bit of a rabbit hole regarding nail polish! It has to be the best cheap thrill regarding cosmetics it is possible to have....
Now I have tried many brands, sending overseas for most of them and enjoying every minute. Consequently I have formed opinions regarding quality in just a few months, because not only do I do the usual girly household stuff (occasionally!) but I ride horses and have a farm. Polish is thus up against it. Opi is outstanding quality especially if you coordinate the basecoat. Orly excellent too, Nubar and China Glaze maybe a step down in durability. Essie is a constant disappointment but I don't have that brand base.
Aaa ah but Nfu Oh!
The colors are amazing, and being retired from the art field I absolutely LOVE how they have a full spectrum range in every nuance and hue...then the finishes including the gorgeous jellies which allow such subtle effects that even I feel comfortable in blue nails ( but a great side effect of getting older is that one can happily flaunt eccentricity)! And the flakes, I could rave all night.
But the bottom line is this: these are noticeably the most durable polishes I have yet used.

I love you, Nfu Oh. These flakie polishes are just lovely -- smooth jelly base with firey flakes and a fine shimmer. #51 is an amazing red/purple/gold sort of combination to the flakes, with the base being a purple jelly polish.

Goes on sheer, recommend a solid base coat underneath to get bottle colour without having to use 4576946895 layers of the stuff. I love this over purple, red, or black in particular. I, too, have had people literally stop and stare at my nails when I had this polish on.

Love the packaging of these polishes, too.

This is definitely one of my top polishes. Duochrome flakies and shimmer suspended in a sheer purple base - you could build up several coats of this to wear alone, or my personal preference is to layer over a much darker colour. Looks great over a shimmery purple like ChG Let's Groove. Application is fantastic although the flakies themselves can stick up or poke out over your free edge, but careful maneuvering with the brush will solve this with no worries. The finish is smooth. The bottle is gorgeous and a good size, too (18mL).

I can't wax rhapsodic enough about how gorgeous this polish is - just google the hundreds of swatches that exist. I would even go as far as to say that this is Clarins 230's flakie cousin and just as much of a must-have.

Oi this is gorgeous. In artificial light, it shows very red, but in natural light, suddenly, its purple! It makes a beautiful rainbow color that's visible more in the bottle than on the nail.
There are greenish orange flakies suspended in a deep purple syrup. I recommend layering this over a blue or purple polish to get bottle color without waste, or layer it over other colors to see what cool combinations you can achieve. Over burgundy makes a beautiful black amber color :)
Its .6 oz, which is a LOT of polish, retails for about $12, and is said to be a flakie version of the ever popular Clarins 230

You can layer this over *anything* and the result will be awesome. I've had people stop talking mid-sentence and stare in silence when I had this on my nails.

Oooh la la! This really is gorgeous. Especially if you love purple. Reasonable wear time, and I kept repairing chips because I didn't want to take it off. In my book this polish lives up to the hype. If you're not a purple fan, though, you'd probably be better served getting one of the flakies in a clear base, as it might be more versatile for layering. The bottle is cute, if a bit fussy; I got it for ten or eleven dollars from fabuloustreet during a sale. It's at the upper end of what I'll pay for polish, and then only for something pretty special.

Holy cow!! Love at first swatch! I adore this polish! I'm a red polish girl. It's classic and it's something I always wear. Well, this little bottle has changed that! I saw this on some website. Maybe it was youtube? Anywhoo I digress. It looked amazing when I saw it. I find it and it came in the mail. Wow! The bottle is so cute. Again I get sidetracked. It looks amazing on my nails! Sparkly reddish purple blueish green? It's like a chameleon always changing with the light. HG status! Looks great with or without a base. A black polish underneath really makes it stand out. I can't wait to try other polishes from this line.

One word -----> W-O-W!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My first NFU Oh polishes have seriously rocked every shred of my glittery multi-dimensional unusual loving inner craving .. this polish is BLISS. I don't even know how to define how much I want to marry this bad boy! #51 is amazing, on it's own, layered over plum, dark purples, black. It's infused with flakes of various colors, pink, a tinge of teal/green, gold .. sounds odd, looks incredible! This is the beginning of the end of my bank account (ok, maybe not the end .. but STILL) .. I can see myself falling victim to a load more of this goodness! Can we say back up bottleS?!?!

OMG Cool!!! I just got this polish Thursday and used it immediately. WOW I LOVE it!! I did 3 coats and it dried pretty fast. Cool, cool color!! So far, it's wearing really well on my natural nails. Usually by now I would have some chipping, but with Nfu Oh ... so far, so good! Yes it's expensive, but yes, I do think I'll be getting more!!

First...Would you buy this product again? HELL YES!!! :D

This is my first and only Nfu-Oh polish so far.

-I absolutely ADORE the bottle design, so cute!
I'm really in love with this polish. In the photos you're seeing it pretty much just looks like a purple with a pink pearlescence to it, but it actually goes from a copper/gold to blue/green, along with the purple/pink in different lighting. This is one of those polishes that's hard to photograph properly.
Over the black my nails flash from a reddish copper/gold to purple/pink, and even green.
I love the large flakes of opal. This is exactly what I would expect a black opal to look like.

#51 is from the Opal Collection...hence the large flakies of opal glitter.

I would recommend getting a bottle of pure acetone to remove this though as the large opal flakes will be quite difficult to remove with a normal strength nail polish remover, much like any other very glittery polish.

I also recommend using a purple polish under this rather than wasting alot of this expensive product by trying to layer it to an opaque finish.
-I've read of many people doing this and it sounds like a waste of time and product to me when you could achieve an even nicer looking and faster finish by just applying another polish down first as the base with one or two layers of this over top.
-Also, try this with a matte finish over top. Very cool effect!:D

The only thing I dislike about this brand is how expensive it is at $12 USD a bottle (with most US sellers), and how hard it is to find as the co. is in Singapore.
But there are various etailers that sell the bottles individually that can be found via a google search.
-but that's nothing to do with the quality/performance of the polish itself, so I won't count it against it.:D

I highly suggest trying this out over various colored polishes. I did so on a nail wheel here:

It is such a great color! It drys bluish-purple semi sheer with orangy-pinkish glitter flakes which shine rich dark pink in direct sunlight or artificial light.
The packaging design is just great - it is bodouar-style femme-shape bottle with rather comfortable handle. The size was generous - 17ml, which would last probably forever.
But I wouldn't buy this product agait cause it is a big pain to apply it accurately and dry it: it is very sheer even in3 coats. In 4 coats it still may show bold patches on nail and nail free edge. The consistency is thick and slightly bumpy.
It is definetly unique color, but it breaks down my nerves.

I am cheap. But this polish is worth 12.50. I love the red/gold/green flakies in this polish. It really stands out. First coat is really sheer so I did three coats and it turned out well.

UPDATE 10/03/09: I forgot to mention that you definitely need pure acetone to take off. Regular nail polish remover won't do the job.

Bought it from Fabuloustreet.com after seeing a swatch on Polish Addict (thank you). Amazing!
I used it over Deep red, but seeing how surprisingly saturated the color is, next time I will use 2 coats on it's own.
About the color description the other person did it better.
The price for me was $12, and for this bottle it was well worth it. I'm gonna buy another bottle for my friend's birthday.
Buy it.

First off, this is the 1st Nfu-Oh polish I have used and owned so I can't compare this to any others in the line BUT...I'm sure that will change after using this! The color I have is #51. It is a very sheer multichrome (can't call it a duochrome because it flashes more than 2 colors...I guess I shouldn't call it a chrome at all since it's not really!) When used on a bare nail it is a very sheer but vibrant violet purple with tons of flakies in it! I used this to layer over a very dark green and was blown away by the results. In direct sun it looked deep purple and burgundy. Indoors and at different angles I got flashes of yellow, greens, orange and red. The bottle itself is ADORABLE! The cap is shaped like a corset dress which is laced up the back...it even has breasts! The bottle itself is shaped like the skirt of the dress. So far I have had this on for 3 days with no chips and very minimal tip wear. This picture is indoors without a flash...HTH!
