As a devout LM fan I am upset that I haven't lucked out with a good day cream yet. This is the best version of day cream the continuously progressive line has offered, though it still has room for improvement. Yes, it does go on smoothly and feels as luxurious as a gentle product can be, but I need it to be more moisturizing. The reviews below suggest that it would be great for someone with normal to dry skin that does not break out, which is me, but even I don't find it to be that lasting. Sometimes I see the dryness as soon as I put foundation on.

This is an absolutely fantastic moisturiser for normal to dry skin, however with my oily skin, it just isn't the same. That said, it is a beautiful cream, that is non greasy and deeply hydrates the skin making the skin feeling very smooth. It didn't work for me, because of my oily skin on my face. Currently using it on my arms and legs. a little bit luxurioius.

First, I agree with all of the other writers. This creme goes on like a dream. I can wear it under foundation with no problems. Perfect, right? Well, Paula Begoun says that the sunscreen is minimal if at all effective. Based on what is FDA required for sunscreens, well, she's right. The sunscreen is not listed as an active ingredient. If you are wearing a substantial foundation with sunscreen, this won't be a problem. But if you are counting on this to provide your daily sun protection, I think you are out of luck. I should have known: most sun products go on like a layer of Crisco. I knew it was too good to be true.

I got a consultation recently for laura mercier products at sephora. I was given several generous portions of samples of this cream. I think this cream is a dream when it goes on, its cooling, doesnt irritate my skin, makes my pores look small, and most importantly its lightweight matte finish when I applied. Most SPF creams are usually white in color and leave the obvious whitish sunscreen cast on my medium skin making me look ashy, this cream does not do that, its clear when it hits my skin. I do like it but I wont buy again, because I have oily combo skin, and I get breakthrough shine every few hours, I have to blot alot. My biggest challenge for my skin type is I want something hydrating yet very lightweight, and I thought this cream was it, but its not.

I'm not really sure how many stars I should give this. So i just gave it a 5, because this would be PERFECT for people who don't break out. I have a few new big pimples, and i think it's because of this. (This moisterizer is the only new thing that i've been doing lately.) It would be for me if it didn't make me break out. I love the texture of it. It's a nice thick creme. Only a little is needed. (If you apply more than a little, it'll make you look greesy) It moisturized amazingly. The smell could be better, but hey, smells don't really bother me, too much, so I didn't really care about that. It's a wonderful moisturizer. I think my skin is getting better with breaking out, because I hardly ever break out anymore over anything, so as soon as I got my new pimples I knew it had to be this. Sad. I guess it's a good thing I got it as a sample.

I received a sample of this from Laura Mercier and loved it so much I purchased a full size jar.
This cream is perfect for those with dry skin, it goes on very smoothly and the texture is pretty thick (much thicker than laura mercier mega moisturizing creme). You just need a small amount to moisturize your entire face, the sample lasted me about 2 weeks. The best part for me is that is soaks in so fast, your face does not feel greasy yet it is so soft. My skin is pretty sensitive and this has not irritated it at all. The fragrance is very soft.
I usually don't try my samples that come with my orders but I had my regular moisturizer packed away and had this handy. I'm so so so glad I tried it.
It is a little pricey at $95 for 1.7 oz, but it is worth every penny! My favorite moisturizer right now.
