I have purchased this pressed powder for many years. It is one of the best cosmetic purchases i have ever made. With this pressed powder, you have to be careful with the undertone. If you have a yellow undertone, do not purchase a powder that has a red tint in it. This powder contols oiliness very well. I have purchased Estee Lauder in Double Matte pressed powder, MAC Studio Fix Plus powder and Iman's pressed powders and FF is my hands down favorite. I wear Butterscotch in the foundations (MAC NC 45) and Cashew in the oil control pressed powder. The powder not only controls oil but it makes your face flawless without adding that powdery look. When you start to age, you have to be very careful with the powder. Some powders cake up and settle into those fine lines and creases actually making you appear older; FF does just the opposite. I love it!

I used to use this faithfully but they must have changed the formula or something because now it oxidizes like crazy! I have bought this in cola, sable and walnut. The walnut seems to have gotten lighter and makes me look like I have a white haze on my face. The cola and sable look great in the compact but go on like a deep gray color. For reference, I have ebony/chocolate skin. I have since started using Iman Oil Control pressed powder in Deep. It is a little too reddish but I rather look a little reddish than gray.

I bought the FF oil control pressed powder in Toffee and I also wear the FF foundation stick in Butterscotch. The color match of the powder is good with this foundation color and I prefer to set my foundation with this powder using a large powder brush before leaving my house. I use the two items with a small amount of the FF Shine Eliminator underneath and in mild to cold weather the powder and the Shine Eliminator together seem to work well but during the summer when it's hot and humid well.......

UPDATE: Do NOT use FF oil control pressed powder in Toffee UNLESS you have medium brown skin with very strong red undertones, otherwise don't use it because it may make you look like a member of the Orange Man Group! I have light to medium brown skin with yellow undertones and this powder in Toffee looks horrible when I use a lot of it to combat the shiny oiliness later on in the day. I think I may take a look at the same pressed powder in Cashew. But now that the season is autumn/fall and will soon be winter I realise that this oil control pressed powder doesn't control my very oily face at all sadly. Even with many re-applications during the day this powder after a while only keeps me matte for less than an hour. That's sad really! I now use the Mattify! Ultra loose powder which lasts for quite a long time on my face but of course I never travel with that.

I totally believe the hype about FF's newer foundation colors and formulations but they need to go back to the drawing board regarding their so-called oil control pressed powder! LOL I am a Butterscotch in Fashion Fair.

I have this in Cashew and it is transparent on my NC45 tone, but I notice how it blends and smooths over my complexion. I apply it with Face Secrets buff brush, and it leaves a fresh and healthy appearance-not weighed down or grayed out, and it does not turn orange. Also, the oil control is decent-I only have to blot lightly after a few hours. I've tried several pressed powders over the years because I do not like to wear foundation, and this is the best light coverage and yellow-undertoned color match by far.

i recently went to the fashion fair counter to purchase the oil control powder.i didnt realize that the SA had mistakenly given me the regular pressed powder.i used it to set my FF oil control cream to powder foundation and it made me SUPER oily. the regular/oil control powders look identical and the shades are the same too. the only difference is that one says "oil control" on it. so be sure that you are purchasing the correct one. im going today to get the right one and will do a review for that one in a few days.

UPDATE:
so i went back and got the correct one and i LOVE it! my shade in the cream to powder foundation is brown blaze..the toffee caramel powder goes perfectly with it. the powder adds a bit of extra coverage and most importantly, it keeps my face matte for about 6 hours. i do have to blot with it once a day. my complexion looks amazing when i set my FF foundation with this powder. it goes on smoothly and doesnt look cakey unless you get too heavy handed with it. will definitely keep repurchasing :)

Ive been using the oil control powder in sable, i have really oily skin, I like the finish of this powder, I only use a concealer then top it off with this powder and I have an uneven skin tone which it works well with. It can be a bit red if i get really oily and dont touch up

I love this press powder(Kola), combined with the FF stick leaves a beautiful finish. It also works well alone which is a huge plus for when I don't have time to apply a full face. Overall, I'm really impressed with this cosmetic line! A really good friend of mine in the DC area put me on when I noticed that every time I saw her she looked flawless. When we first met I told her she looked like a news reporter...lol. She told me what she used, which was FF. I was a little reluctant at first, I was really into MAC and I continued to use their products, and I still do, mainly their lipglass in chai and lip pencil in plum, their blot powder is great for blotting on the go. Anyway, a few years go by and she is still flawless, absolutely gorgeous!! I asked her and she said that she still uses FF! After that point I was completely sold.

Purchased this in Fair. It is translucent so it won't change the shade of your makeup. I applied it when my face was a bit oily(coconut oil HG) and I could see a slight color but when I applied to my nose my pores disappeared! This is great because I only wear powder; no foundation. The packing is sleek in bronze case with mirror. The powder is finely milled and "soft." Great powder for women of color. I am NC 25 in Mac and prefer the medium dark blot powder from Mac over the NC 25. This powder is better than blot powder because it does not leave any powdery trace.

I have been using fashion fair for about 10 years now. I wear the kola/ or walnut noisette in the oil control pressed powder. I think something is off lately because both times the powders have left me looking ashy underneath with a dull brown finish. No matter what I do, there remains an ashiness and dry look to this powder. I have not had this problem before except in the last year. I even tried bronze, which is the next color up and I could never get rid of the ashy look. I must say the foundations are beautfiul, I am a mac NW45. Now with MAC I just look dead, in my opinion. Its a look of a death mask. I tried IMAN but the presssed powder is of a very low quality. It is not finely milled like a fashion fair or a MAC product. So overall, I will stop buying fashion fair powders but stick to their foundations. If fashion fair corrects this problem I would definitely buy their powder. It never breaks me out and never settles in creases. Just can't get over the ashiness.

I picked up this product after trying out the foundation stick for a few weeks. Which I absolutely luv by the way. The foundation stick is the TRUTH. I was suprisingly impressed with FF. I just always thought it was for older people. When I bought the foundation stick the MUA set it with the oil control pressed powder in Kola. I wore it all day and decided to go back and purchase the stick. Having wore that for a few weeks I decided to try something else from FF and bought the Kola pressed powder. I love it. First, I have deep mocha skin(nw50) and it always difficult to match my skin. So finding the foundation was a gem but also lucking up with the perfect pressed powder was just amazing. I have combo skin. It leans toward combo/dry in winter and combo/oily in Spring/Summer. This product looks natural, feels light and truly keeps oil at bay. No topical product is going to make your skin stop doing what is natural which is produce oil. However, I judge an oil control product on how long before I have to blot. This gives me about 4 hours before I blot. That is awesome. I usually touch up after lunchtime anyway. Fabulous. Don't sleep on FF anymore. I also tried their oil control moisturizer. I am loving it.

Got this product at the Fashion Fair counter along with the foundation stick. I only associated Fashion Fair with older people and I remember the terrible packaging. The new colours and packaging are sleek and practical. I got the Kola. Colour wise it is a fair match. I have ultra oily skin and the slim case is discreet enough for me to keep at me desk and bloat during the day. It is the powder that I use to set all my foundations. I don’t think its HG.. but it’s pretty good. I would recommend! (price was about £ 18)

I've been looking everywhere for a powder that has a deep yellow/tan tint and is translucent when put on the skin. I tried looking in MAC stores, drug stores, Iman (their foundations are golden tinted but the powders have this odd reddish tinit) then I remembered tat when I was a teen with acne I used to buy a tranlucent powder from Fshion Fair which was the best ever.

So I went ot the Fashion Fair counter and asked for it and discovered that they had a lot more selection. I chose Cashew (Cajou Y6-1608) which brightened up m ace instantly but at the same time is so sheer that it doesn't leave a yello tinit. I had also forgot that this powder had conrn starch in it which makes it feel like velvet on the skin. My skin doesn't feel tight like MAC products seem to make your skin.

It's fragrance free and too. The cornstarch makes you feel like you don't even have powder on and I remember loving it because it never clogs my pores or broke me out.

UPDATE AFTER A WEEK
I found that this did not have staying power. It blocks oil for all of 30 minutes and then you have to keep reapplying it. Great product if you don' want that caked on MAC look but otherwise not the greatest fro shine control.
