This has become my absolute favourite basecoat and I will be repurchasing very shortly. It's fast drying and leaves a slight tacky feel on the nails once dry. It grabs onto polish very well and does an excellent job at prolonging the wear of my manicures. Staining is next too none and I love to wear lots of deep blues, which are notorious for staining! I use Seche Vite as my topcoat and these two together make a deadly combination. I've tried several other basecoats over the years and none are anywhere near as good as this one. I like it even better than the NailTek Foundation basecoats which formerly were my favourite.

I usually use this on my toes. My toe polish lasts forever anyway but I think it helps last even longer.
I have used it on my fingers but I use nail magic as my first base and the stickier bases after.
I would def buy again when i run out

Currently my HG base coat. A little about my nails: I'm a regular painter; no peelies or ridges (pretty healthy); I'm not that conscious about my hand activity though I keep my nails at an average length, so they're not high maintenance.

I've been through a couple bottles. Seems to do what it's supposed to do. If I ever have any problems with a particular polish, I usually end up switching the top coat and that usually solves the issue. Base seems to dry fast and I haven't had staining since I've used this!

I have tried several base coats from different brands, but I find this one to be the best. It prolongs the nail polish on my day for at least two days than other base coats used to. I also noticed that removing nail polish with this base coat is much easier and it leaves the nails stained less (although with some deep colours like red, purple, black etc. it is not 100% effective). I use this together with No-Chip Top Coat from China Glaze, which makes a very effective duo. Definitely repurchasing again when I run out of it.

Another vote for EternityintheRain's method! Use Strong Adhesion as a base coat, then polish, then use again as a first top coat followed by Seche Vite. This is hands down my HG base coat/top coat combo! Wears like iron! Around day 5 I will see some tip wear....but I don't even wrap my tips and I am super hard on my nails. Before I was getting so frustrated with chips after only 2-3 days, but not any more! I can now count on a mani to easily last an entire work week...amazing! Definitely give it a try!

This product does make my manis last a day or 2 longer than when I use my usual base coat but it also really dried out my nails which eventually broke. Because of this I wouldn't buy the product again but I do have dry nails anyway so it may be good for someone who has naturally strong/healthy nails.

just tried it last night but I loved how smooth it applied and how shiny it made my nails.

If it fails as a basecoat, at least I have a clear coat that looks pretty.

Something in this product made my nails peel badly. It does hold onto polish but ruined my nails...So not worth it.

this seems like it would be a nice base coat, it dries fast, and goes on nice and thin, but I am pretty sure this product increases nail polish bubbles and peeling. I'm not going to use this anymore. I do like the topcoat though

I took advice I found on MUA and used China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat on top of my polish and under Seche Vite and my mani has lasted twice as long as it did with Seche Vite alone. Not only that but it brightened the shine and smoothed the surface so that my mani looks salon worthy.

This is a fantastic base coat. I use MUA user EternityintheRain's method of application: do one coat as a base, apply colour polish, top with the base coat again and then apply Seche Vite (or whatever topcoat you prefer). Seche Vite usually makes my polish chip off very quickly but using this base coat underneath makes a world of difference. It seems counter-intuitive to put a base coat over colour but the results are fantastic. This product dries very quickly and has a nice, tacky feel that really grips the polish. It also helps with staining. I love reds, corals, and hot pinks and have not experienced any yellowing when I applied this base coat first. An HG item for sure.

3 lippies because it doesn't prevent staining. Up to the point my nails turned almost orange, so if you're looking for something that prevents staining, this isn't it. However,

This dries super quick when applied and it holds my polish up to 6 days (when I don't do heavy workload with my hands) with minimal tip wear.

I applied this base coat and let it completely dry on both my hands. I applied two coats of Deborah Lippmann Naked nail polish and the application was smooth. Once both my hands were dry, I was horrified. All my nails had terrible streaks. It was truly noticeable. I went to Sally Beauty store and even the cashier said the streaks looked terrible. I almost re-bought the previous base coat that I had used which was Nail Magic Therapy Base Coat, but I didn't because I'm sort of concerned with so many people saying at some point it burns their nails. Anyway, I went to Ulta and bought Essie First Base Base Coat.
Also, My nails started chipping really bad on day 3. Today, day 5, the chipping has gotten worse. Truly unsatisfied with this product.

In my opinion, the most versatile nail product I´ve found. As a base, it makes any nail polish last on average 5-6 days, with little to no chipping. By itself, it makes nails look fresh and clean, freshly buffed. But my favorite way to apply this is right after I finished putting a color to my nails. Basic explanation...use this as a base, then put in your fav nail color, then top it with this, and then...top this with Seche Vite! Yes, this makes a great primer to Seche Vite, and for those of us who may not have the best precision in the world, this saves you from having that dreaded streaky look from using Seche Vite incorrectly. And makes your nail last into the next week if you´d like. Overall, lovely base coat that truly covers all the bases, from covering ridges and splits, to leaving your nail with a soft and even surface.

This product makes my nails grow!!! They actually grow faster with this than anything else I've tried, although they're not particularly stronger. As far as being a bonding base coat ("strong adhesion"), it really depends on what nail polish you use with it. There are some that wear like iron in combination with this, and some that will still smudge within an hour. I double-layer this if I know my color polish will stain, but it doesn't 100% prevent it. Once the bottle is halfway empty it does get a bit more difficult to reach the product with the brush, but the product doesn't thicken up much by that point which is good. I'll buy it again, but I want something that has better base coat properties (bonding and stain prevention).

I used to hate painting my nails because it wasn't worth the trouble for the amount of time it stayed on but this changed my mind.
I have the same really old crappy nail polish on for over a week and it only chipped a tiny little bit today doing the dishes. That is how good this stuff is because I've the the same nail polish before and it never lasted longer than two days.
Also its not hard to take of. With some bases I've used you take forever to get your nails clean but this comes off rather easily with nail polish remover.

I hate how everyone loves this, and I'm totally disappointed with it. I have a really hard time keeping polish on my nails. Polish peels off so easily no matter what brand I use or how many coats I put on or what topcoat I use. I tried this basecoat thinking that it would help the polish stay on. It didn't. It's just like adding an unnecessary layer of clear polish in my opinion. I do still love China Glaze polishes, though. They and OPI peel the least.

My HG base coat, because it works with all brands. Zoyas used to be problematic with other brands, but I get excellent wear with them and all other brands. Really helps make my manicures last!

Love this base coat! It goes on great and dries super fast. Makes my color go on very smoothly.

**EDIT** I have been using this base coat for about a month now and have noticed it is allowing color to stain my nails. While I really like this product, I will be looking for something that doesn't stain.
