I'm disappointed in this shadow, especially considering all the hype over mineral shadows. It's too sheer and not pigmented enough to justify the price. I tried to use it wet to get a deeper saturation of color but it made no difference. The color that I did get to show up faded after a few hours anyway and I had to keep touching up. I'm also disappointed in the packaging. The tester shadow was encased in a substantially thick lucite container, but the actual product comes in a thin flimsy plastic container with a thin flip top. If you like a sheer coverage, you may like this but you can probably find something comparable at the drugstore.

I really like Jane Iredale eyeshadows. They have good color, nice texture and good staying power. They aren't quite as creamy as the korres or clinique eyeshadows (my other favorites), but they are still quite good. One thing I wish is they had more shimmery options, many of her eyeshadows are matte and I like a little shimmer to mine.

sigh. As much as I love Jane Iredale foundation and blush, I hate the eyeshadow. This stung my eyes and made them water, and even though I used Too Faced eye primer, this faded away to almost nothing. Literally. I used the triple cognac trio, and it faded so bad that it wasn't even apparent I was wearing eyeshadow...it looked like I had slept in my makeup and just decided to not wash my face and I was wearing yesterday's makeup. So disappointing. And it was so expensive too. Dang almost anything is better than this! No recommendation.

This is my favorite natural eyeshadow. The color is true, it lasts all day, and really flatters my coloring. I have the trio in Triple Cognac. The lightest color makes a great overall wash, the medium a good crease color and the darker brown a nice outer V color. They apply smoothly and give a consistent color. I always use primer, so that helps. Having switched to all natural eye products, these shadows are my favorite. I used to have very red, irritated eyes all the time and making the switch to Jane Iredale shadows, Korres Mascara, Pur Minerals liner and Bare Escentuals or Pur Minerals primer has made a huge difference.

I'm really sad that I can't like this product! I love JI so much, but the eyeshadow was a real let down!
Within about 30 minutes it was creasing--really badly! And I had on eyeprimer!
The colors are GORGEOUS, and the texture is really good (it applies very smoothly), but unforunantely, it creases horribly for me. I do have very oily skin, so that probably helped it to crease. If you have oily skin, don't buy this!

I reluctantly bought this shadow after a bout of conjuctivitis due to Bare Minerals eye shadows. Initially I didn't think it was due to the shadows but after throwing it all away, waiting for the infection to clear up and re-purchasing all new Bare Minerals it happened AGAIN!! Anyway, these shadows are hard to find in salons so I drove out of my way on the way home from work one night and purchased two single shadows, a brown and light taupe color. In addition to the pure ingedients they are supposed to contain they contain pine bark extract and pomegranite extract. Sounds like it could be highly allergenic but I thought I would give it a whirl. Well.... that lasted about a week before I woke up one morning to bright red and very painful eyes! Arrgggh, what the heck?! I am done with mineral shadows!!! Ladies, save your money on these expensive and messy shadows. They are no better than the drugstore shadows which is what I am going back to now.

Oyster/Supernova is beautiful. I really like the daytime and nighttime kits also. I use the cream to powder eyeliner in Plum Plus with the oyster/supernova and it looks great! The shadows stay on all day. I dont have to retouch at all during the day. I got my JI from agelessapple.com at a great price.

Jane Iredale may have taken bismuth out of their regular makeup, but they DIDN"T take it out of their eye shadow--as I learned the hard way. I bought the shadow in slate brown which went on beautifully--smooth, beautiful look, etc. Within a few hours, however, my eyes were burning like crazy and I had to quickly wash it off. Grabbing the box it came in, I saw that the second ingredient listed is bismuth! Bismuth can be very irritating to people with sensitive skin (see multiple websites, Material Safety Data Sheets, etc.) I'm returning this.
Edit: After posting this I kept wondering how I missed that bismuth is an ingredient so I returned to the JI website where I had checked this before buying-- sure enough, on their website, pure pressed eyeshadow ingredients are NOT shown to include bismuth. Since I bought this within the past two weeks, I plan to find out whether JI just recently took bismuth out and I bought an older shadow, or whether their website is off.

I am honestly surprised people like this so much. I know her products have a good reputation, but I am not a fan of her eye shadows. I bought a pallete that has 5 different shadows, and they looked SO pretty in the package. I was just sure they would be fabulous. The reality, however, wasn't as great. They do go one smooth and have a nice texture, but the lighter colors are chalky and the staying power (even with lid primer) is poor. I guess what I would say is that if you're looking for a very subtle day-time look, these are fine. If you're looking for something a little smokier and dressier to wear at night, I wouldn't recommend it. It will be so faded half way through the evening. When it comes to shadow staying power, it's very difficult to beat MAC. If you need something to last you all night without fading or creasing that's the way to go.

So far, these are some of the best eye shadows I have ever tried. They are just that good. Easy to blend, smooth application, doesn't irritate, nicely pigmented, application is just a breeze, feels really good on, and is easy to wash off. The only other eye shadows I've tried that compare are Chanel and YSL. They don't fade, don't crease (even without primer), hug the brush until it hits your skin and then hugs the eyelid. I've never seen an eyeshadow that has almost NO fallout. I'm am truly in love with JI PureMoist Lipsticks and eye shadows.

I switched to mineral cosmetics several years ago in the interests of wearing safer products. I started wearing Bare Minerals, but I hate the packaging. It's is so wasteful and hard to control how much you use. I started buying Jane Iredale because there was a spa near my job that sold it. From the minute I switched, I have loved the quality and just can't go back to anything else. The shadows I have used are Oyster, a nice shimmery champagne color, Peach Sherbet, a very pretty color for every day, the Pink Bliss trio, the Oyster Supernova duo, and several others. It's hard to go wrong with any of these. I have not had trouble with them breaking apart more than with any other brand. I wish they included a little more product for the price but oh well....I would highly recommend if you are searching for something of a better quality than Bare Minerals.

I recently bought the Wine & Roses, and the colour is spectacular! The shadow is deeply pigmented so a little goes a long way. However, after a few hours the shimmer disappears and the colour turns from burgandy to brown. Also, it tends to crease, a problem which I have never had before. I am sooo disappointed, because I otherwise like everything about this product. Therefore, two lippies because of lack of lasting power. Plus, it is a little on the $$$ side.

This is a good eye shadow that doesn't have harsh chemicals / toxic colors in it. I bought two trios - Cognac and Cloud Nine. Both combinations are great for every day wear (using two lighter colors) and night (using all three for a more dramatic look). The packaging is a plastic round container with three triangular eye shadow dishes inside. It doesn't come with a brush but it's not a big deal for me as I use my own brushes. It seems to me that the amount of the shadow here is very small compared to trios from other brands such as Chanel and Dior. But I can live with that as I know that none of it will get wasted or go bad after a while (eye shadows don't have a long life) since I use different colors every day. The price is reasonable to me as the quality is superior and the colors work very well together. I can't comment on staying power as I always put eye shadows on top of Urban Decay Primer Potion. With the primer underneath, it stayed on ALL DAY!! I didn't have to worry about creasing or anything like that and I have very oily lids! Bottom line - wonderful and I will definitely repurchase!!!

These are really nice shadows. They are so much more concentrated than non-mineral shadows, so you need to use a lighter hand. They wear all day without fading or creasing, but I do use LM's Eye Basics under it. My favorite one is the triple shadows in Triple Cognac. The shades are perfect for blue eyes. The lightest shade is a light rose shimmer, very similar to LM's Rose', the second one is a light taupe, again, similar to LM's Whiskey, and the darkest one is a dark brown, good for lining with, it's similar to LM's Coffee Ground. I like to tight line in between my lashes with LM's eye liner in Bleu Marine and use this palette, and it's really pretty. Makes my blue eyes pop. They apply very smoothly, and are not irritating to me at all, and I wear contacts and have allergies.

I had to take off a lippie because my eyeshadow compact cracked as soon as I bought it. However, I was able to salvage it and I think it's an excellent quality eyeshadow. It lasts forever and does not irritate my eyes. Also, the trio of colors I purchased compliment eachother (and me) very nicely. This is a hard product to locate, but for a natural, long-lasting eyeshadow, this is great.

I bought these in Khaki Kraze and Truly Denim (the trios). The colors go on very smoothly and beautifully. great staying poser. I have brown eyes and both these trios help my eyes stand out. My only complaint is the $27 price tag--a little steep.

Add my name to the list of people who love their Khaki Kraze trio. I was just cleaning out my makeup kit - I used this trio up long ago, but for whatever reason had trouble throwing out the near-empty compact. As others have already described in brilliant detail, this trio has a set of beautiful colors that are centered about an olive green shadow with gold shimmer. It also has a dark brown color for contour and liner and a light peachy-champagne-neutral color for highlight. I bought my palette from a wonderful local facial salon, so they don't stock the Khaki Kraze regularly (hence, I still haven't replaced my first one). Nice to know that I can find it online (thank you MUA'ers!). Anyhow, I agree completely with one reviewer that says the color looks "dewy". At first, I was worried that I might end up looking like a clown with green eyeshadow (especially if you read too much into that silly name), but it's a lovely neutral palette that is appropriate for daytime, and it is fab with my light Asian skin, brown eyes, etc. Worth every penny (and completely reasonable considering what you would pay in a high-end department store for products that are not even half as good)...

Very nice shadows... the darker ones take a bit of work to get the hang of blending but are gorgeous once you find the right amount to place on your lids.
Bit pricey but a little goes a LOOOONG way
