This is a nice palette, but it's nothing special. I got it for about six dollars with my mark. rep discount, and I don't think I would pay full price for it. The blush is spectacular (a matte, pink-peach), but the eye shadows are mediocre (even with a base) and the lip colors are below average, with little staying power. I'm not over the moon about anything but the blush, but I guess one huge pan of blush for six bucks isn't too bad!

This palette is so awesome. It may be my favorite Flip For It yet. The first shadow is a pretty cool, shimmery champagne color, almost kind of like a shell color. The second color is a purpley taupe with gold shimmers in it. The blush is a matte fresh true pink that is so flattering. The lip colors are great too, they all go on pretty sheer to provide that sort of "just kissed/bitten" look. Convenient, affordable, and easy to use = WIN in my book.

I own 3 or 4 other Flip For It palettes, it was such a bargain - try getting a blush, two eye colors and four lip glosses along with a compact and mirror for under $10. LOL!

The colors are nice and neutral, and mark makes the only palettes where I can use all four of the lip glosses. They all have a hint of flavor, too, which I love.

These colours are packaged in a shimmery tan plastic flip case which features a full-size mirror underneath the lid. This product retails for $20 on the mark website. Made in China.

MY THOUGHTS: I received this as a Christmas present in 2009. Initially I was hesitant that the colours would look funny on me due to my pale complexion (think Anne Hathaway). However, to my surprise, the eye shadows, blush, and matching lip colours/glosses made me feel like Carmindy personally picked these out for me. Hollywood is your typical beige highlighter with a bit of gold shimmer; meanwhile, Mulholland is a medium taupe with gold flecks. Sunset Strip is a soft coral blush; Melrose is a cinnamon lip stain; Rodeo is a brick-red lip stain; while Malibu (salmon) and Beverly Hills (bright amaranth pink) are clear glosses upon application. My only complaint about this compact is if any of the pressed powders (eye shadows or blush) break it will make one heck of a mess inside the compact.

I absolutely love Mark's Flip For It kits but this is my favorite! The colors are very neutral yet can be played with to make a dramatic look too. The eyeshadows look great together, one is a neutral taupe, pearly color and the other is a great brown with gold sparkles in it. The lip colors are great as well. I usually don't like the lip colors in the flip for its but these are very pretty. Oh and if you have pale skin like I do, this is perfect for you!

My advice would be if you are debating on this, GET IT!! You will not be dissapointed. It is so easy to throw in your purse and you have all the products you will need for the whole day to do any touch-ups.

I’ve just received this and used it this morning, love it! It’s the perfect summery neutral palette.

I adore the Flip For It palettes anyway, have all of them, use all of them. (I should say to anyone thinking about them that the darker looking palettes are not nearly as scary as they might seem. I hesitated on some as I thought the blushes and lip colours wouldn’t suit me (I’m very pale, red hair, blue eyes) but really the blushes work well with a light hand and the lip colours are all really sheer. I found it a great way to experiment with slightly darker but sheer glosses without too much of a cash outlay. I’m definitely using colours I wouldn’t have chosen before).

Anyway, to the LA palette! The highlighter colour is a soft, goldy, slightly shimmery creamy beige which looks great all over the lid. The brown shade is a deep but soft chocolate with gold fleck, great as an eyeliner. Blush went on quite sheer and blended very well, a nice light peach colour. I used the orange lipgloss this morning feeling sure I’d end up wiping it off as it’s ORANGE in the palette! But it’s SO sheer it’s almost clear so just gives a nice shiny but not gloopy finish to the lips.

The whole palette gives a nice natural soft finish. I imagine the lip colours are more pigmented than the glosses so you could definitely vamp it up a little. Same with the darker eyeshadow which could be used to create a smokier finish.

Love it! Sturdy enough for travel too = )
