LOVE this product! Although I completely despise the liquid foundation, this pressed powder is absolutely amazing. It keeps me matte for at least 6-8 hours and the shade sandstorm gives me a slight color when I just want to use it with concealer. The only not so great thing is the packaging, since I feel that it's not as sturdy as other packages from other brands. But oh well, what really counts is the product inside, and that I highly recommend for oily and combination skin.

This blows MAC MSFN out the water....with MAC MSFN i get shiny within the hour...looks fab at first then those damn minerals just make my oily skin glow like nothing else...but even though Rimmel Stay Matte with natural minerals has minerals in it doesnt make me glow like other mineral products do. It never looks cakey, it hasn't broke me out, its SO CHEAP, I have 1 in my makeup draw, 1 in the car 1 in my handbag...you can afford to as they are so cheap. I wish the packaging was a little more sophisticated but thats my only grumble. I use this over my Estee Lauder double-wear (tawny) and it sets it beautifully without looking powdery...it photographs very well, and when used with a powder puff and pressed onto the face it makes pores disappear and skin looks flawless.

I have combination skin - oily on nose and chin, and dry everywhere else. Therefore I only use this on the oily parts of my face. I bought this because my oils shiny skin was annoying me so much, and I only had a bit of change on me. It cost only £3! I thought it would be rubbish quality, but I was pleasantly surprised! It is nice and light - not at all cakey. I use it with an Eco tools brush which applies it very evenly. My only issues are that the packaging is bad quality - the sides of the lid have cracked and chipped. Also it is not compact or easy to travel with. I would definitely reccomend it!!

I am a girl with some crrrrrrazy oily skin. It is bad, people. And on top of that, I have hereditary acne (not severe, just moderate). So I need foundation that can hide all my imperfections while not sliding off my face in an hour because of my oil.
I have recently switched to high-end makeup instead of drugstore makeup, but I still have my cheap favorites that I occasionally go back to. Rimmel's Stay Matte Pressed Powder is one of those.
PROS:
-Very light weight.
-Covers well (for a few hours, until I get oily) but doesn't look or feel heavy.
-Does SUPER whenever you use it to touchup (when you blot beforehand) and looks just as good as when you first applied your makeup to your whole face rather than the obvious "I just touched up" kind of thing.
-I'm pretty sure I paid $4 for this little beauty.
-This is tied for my favorite drugstore press powder, the Revlon Colorstay Powder Foundation, and only does take the lead because of the packaging issues (explained in the cons.)
CONS:
-This is not a compact. :( It is just a pan, with the makeup, and a pop on lid.
-Doesn't come with a sponge, puff, brush, or any form of application assistance.
-Whenever you swil your brush, puff, sponge, etc. on the product, there tends to be a lot of excess foundation that comes up with it and is in terms wasted.
-Not very travel friend because of packaging.
-Whenever you do start to use the product so much that it "pans out," the foundation starts to loosen and crack, and therefore seperates into chunks and becomes rather unusable.
Despite the cons, I think that this foundation is great considering the price and what it does for me.
xx jas.

I wear this over EL Double wear. Sets my makeup perfectly and I do stay matte. Don't have to take it with me for touchups, doesn't look cakey. Great powder! Wish the packaging was better though.

I have dry skin that is sometimes combination in the summer, but overall not oily and usually need moisturizer.. so i use tinted moisturizer instead of foundation and like to set it with this powder. i have to say it removes a little bit of the yellow ( LM spf20 NUDE ) which is nice because on camera at night it can come off pretty yellow without the powder. It can be a little dusty looking when i haven't exfoliated or moisturized properly, but that is my fault. the only thing i don't like is the lid. just like my NYC bronzer, i am always scared the lid will come off and mess up my makeup bag.. otherwise i like this product a lot, plus it is cheeeeeap and lasts for ever.

I bought this powder for my thirteen-year-old daughter who needs some shine control and a little coverage. The shade looks perfect and it is a nice product. Since we use our own brushes, it wasn't a big deal there was no powder puff with it. The major drawback is the lid doesn't stay on. It she wants to take it somewhere, she'll have to put a rubberband around it. Boo. I would probably purchase again for the price and the fact that it works well.

I really like this product as it gets rid of the T-zone quite well and lasts quite a while, I apply it in the morning and usually have to re apply by lunch time, but for a cheaper pressed powder this is pretty good. I love the fact it has minerals as this is better for your skin and gives a nicer finish. The packaging, like all cheaper powders is not great, the lid will crack and the writing wears off so you forget what its called, but the product within is definately worth the price you pay. The colours are very easily matched and it doesnt seem to matter too much if you get slightly the wrong colour as they seem to blend in quite nicely with your own skin tone.

I just bought this on a whim as I didn’t have time to go to Mac and I have to say I am completely taken by surprise. I am normally highly allergic to Rimmel foundations, however I used this over Clarins, and Revlon Colourstay foundations and it lasted all day with no breakouts. I touched up once midday, and that was it, and even then it was minimal. I am VERY impressed with this, the colour did not change or oxidise. I bought this in Translucent, and it stayed neutral over Colourstay Buff and Clairins Super Restorative in Shell staying pale and neutral. It did not go cakey, or look like a mask, and set perfectly with Avene Thermal water. For the £2.99 I paid for it on sale it was a steal.

(ok, I went and reviewed the wrong one..I didn't know that there were different kinds..)
LOVE it!!! It's summer, and I'm A LOT oilier than usual, so I thought that I'd need a blotting powder, since blotting sheets doesn't work well for me. I didn't want to spend too much on MAC since I'll only be needing it for the summer, so I hopped on to MUA and checked out the reviews, and decided to give this a try...I LOVE IT!! I'm an NC35/37, and I got this in Sandstorm, which is perfect!! I just started using this today, put it on at about 4:30 a.m. Around 10 a.m. (it says that it can last up to 5 hours), I went to the bathroom to check out my face, and it wasn't oily!!! Just a little shine, it's currently 3 p.m. right now, and my face still looks great!! with the little shine..that's fine, since that's how my face is in the cold seasons too..
Overall, I LOVE THIS!! I can't say it enough, it's sooooo cheap and effective. The packaging REALLY sucks though, you cannot have it in your purse at all (which is fine with me, because with the way things are going, I don't need any touch-ups during working hours). This is great..I'll most likely end up buying this product every summer..

so this product is probably the worst ive ever had. when I was picking it up I noticed that the ingredients weren't on it.... I was definitely weirdes out. I've only used it three times. and I have already gotten about five pimples from it. I never break out anymore thanks to acne.org :) so I figured iylt was from this. the only ingredient I know that breaks me out is in bare minerals. it's the bismuth o something. but I had a feeling talc would too
their main ingredient is talc. awesome. I'm glad I'm right.. just not in this case.
stay away! the packaging looks like it was designed by a child.

I spotted this product in Walgreens and was curious to see it had minerals. I have used Stay Matte for years off and on, but this is the first time I have found one with the minerals. I ignored it and went on thinking I could find it in different stores, perhaps in different shades. Nope...none of my local stores have it. Upon looking at an old container that I have at home, I noticed it was the same shade. I had used my old one all the way down to the pan, but did not replace it because I was trying so many other brands, still I kept it! I do that, I do not know why. Throw it out already!! Anyway, when I was back at the same store, they still had just this one compact, so I bought it. I needed something that I could use just around the house, and running to the stores, rather than use up my favorites so fast.
I do like a lot of the Rimmel products. This powder is very smooth going on and it looks almost natural with my med. skin tone during the winter here. It may be too light later in the summer but for now, it is a good choice. No puff, like all the rest of them, but who cares, I use a brush. ;-) The same light delicate fragrance that I personally like. For a powder just to cover up the shine from my moisture cream, and not have to go the whole foundation route on my time off, this one is doing good so far. I will update later if need be.
