Cutest packaging, so pigmented, no shimmer, stays on all day if I apply it right...love it!

I feel very glam with this on. When I had a friend apply it to my lips at her makeup class, her instructor immediately starting talking about how I had a great face for 40s makeup. I really don't, so the lipstick must have worked!

MAC NC40-42, C40

I have very pigmented lips so most of my lipsticks are nudes. I was at my local cco looking for a red lipstick or gloss. The only red lipstick they had was this one and when i swatched it on my hand, it looked lovely! A rich, red color that was true to color. I decided to purchase it. Once i got home, i wore it and i was happy with my purchase.

I cannot compare this lipstick to other red permanent lipsticks from mac since i dont own any. Its an amplified lipstick, and i adore the finish. Its not drying on my lips and it goes on smooth.

The color lasted for about a couple of hours and then slowly faded into a slight red/pink color. This is a bright red lipstick and i dont see myself wearing this on a daily basis. But it encouraged me to try other red lipsticks. The packaging looks cute but i do see problems with the sticker falling off soon. :(

This is my fav. red of the moment! It turns a bit pink on me, but I layered it over a Sephora pencil in 130 ( a cherry-wine shade), which darkened the red a tad. It made it more wearable for work :) It is an Amplified, so it stays nice and creamy, with lots of pigment. I love it. The only drawback it the horrible sticker! I should just rip it off already!

I love this colour! I know people were comparing this one with "red" she said and yes they are very similar; however, this particular shade is brighter and compliments my skintone more then "red" she said does. (NC30)

I think the colour of this lipstick is beautiful - its a blue toned red that goes a little pink on me, but in a good way as its only a bit and makes it look rosey.

I think its a less pink version of MAC Red, which went very fuschia on me. It's a bright, but slighter darker red and not for the faint hearted. As i said before, its got a hint of rose petals about it. For reference i have light asian yellow toned skin.

As for durability, it does last longer than other creme lipsticks i have tried from MAC, though still not quite as long as the mattes. I agree with the previous reviewer about the glittery stickers starting to fall off, it is quite irritating but this doesn't bother me much as the lipstick looks so pretty on.

This lipstick is a very pretty medium shade of cool-toned, blue red. Not for the shy - this is definitely something I would only recommend for gals who are confident wearing red lipstick as there is nothing subdued about it. Shade wise, I would compare it to Ruby Woo from the permanent line. Kanga-Rouge is an Amplified Creme though (whereas Ruby Woo is Matte), which basically means that it has a satin type finish and is smooth and creamy.
The packaging from this line is awful. Usually, I don't even talk about the packaging in my reviews, because it just doesn't matter to me. But these are pretty bad. First of all, MAC describes them as "mauve" when they are clearly lavender or light purple. Then they have these crappy little stickers on them that are suppossed to look like Dame Edna's glasses. Cute idea, but it would have been much better if they could include that as part of the plastic tube instead of applying a separate sticker (which is already peeling and fading on my products).
Overall, a great color and formula from MAC, and if it wasn't LE, I would buy it again when I run out. Then again, I don't think the color is terribly unique either, so it's not worth stocking up on (in my opinion).
